Not your typical place I love this store full of aloha and everything beachy! Fantastic for finding cute gifts or a new piece of furniture. Unique stuff not like "big box stores" Mermaids, star fish, candles, cute signs, really cool bedding and everything from napkins to art for your walls. Cool bamboo things, vintage aloha shirts and lifeguard chairs. Judy the owner is a bundle of energy and willing to deliver too! It's a fun place to stop even if you don't need anything!!! read more

This is a funky little shop in Encinitas (and Encinitas definitely should be and remain funky) that sells, among other things, some really cool tiki memorabilia. They also sell various items to complement beach house decor. There are pillows, lamps, various knick knacks, etc. Street parking is free but can be tough during the summer when a million cars are cruising the coast highway. If you're looking for a cool item for your beach house or just a funky gift, check them out. read more

Judy is a gem. There are so many unique items in this store!! Tropical, beach, anything related to those...you will find here. I am particularly drawn to the mermaids! You may also find some items from extraordinarily talented local artists. If you are hunting for something very special, unique, or hard to find, call the store. It is probably there! I was looking for beach decor to decorate my bathroom. I've collected lots of items so far however I was looking for little add ons and signs to give it a nice twist. They have everything you can imagine here. Shower curtains, bath accessories, shells, picture frames, bedding, tiki's, signs, anchor stuff, night lights/lights and so much more. The place has a lot going on from the looks on the outside. Not much space inside, made me feel closterophobic, things were all over the place. Other than that this is a chill place they allow you to look around without pressuring you to purchase anything. This place is on the pricey side for particular items but if you don't mind I would recommend checking this place out. read more

Great, great, great place to satisfy your bamboo cravings. From old-school 50's styles to modern reproductions and new styles, this place is amazing. You'll find furniture for the living room, bedroom, kitchen and family fun room. Anything you want can be bought or made to order here. Nick nacks and very awesome bamboo beaded curtains, some with Hula girls dancing. They also sell an amazing array of Tiki's in all shapes and sizes for that total Hawaiian look. It's a cute store but I'm compelled to write this 1 star review regarding the employee/owner's (?) complete disregard of the mandate and the importance of wearing masks indoors. Apparently if you are wearing one, you don't deserve a hello or any attention. Another customer who also wasn't wearing a mask made a comment about how she forgot hers and the same employee said twice that she didn't need it and glared at me on my way out. Can't give business to someone who risks my life and the lives of others. read more

This place is amazing! If you are looking for some cool beach decorations or furniture seriously come here!! The owner is so nice, you can even rent things if your having a party! We were throwing my husbands 30th birthday and contemplating on whether or not to buy some of the decorations because of how much the total was racking up. We wanted to use this tiki bar but wasn't 100% about buying it as a forever piece in our home. The owner told us we could rent if for not all the cost, which was perfect! Seriously if you're in the area just go check it out! You'll get lost in all the hidden gems around the store. read more

Took a paint class here for my bridal party and it was a blast! The service was EXCELLENT and the environment was fun! $29 per person deal on Living Social got me a burlap canvas board, paint to use, snacks and mimosas. They can take private groups if you call in advance to schedule. The ladies here are so welcoming and caring, which makes the class even more inviting. Lots of inspiring beach artwork to use or to buy. Just a note, some navigators will not recognize Encinitas as the city for directions, you can try Leucadia if that doesn't work because Bamboo2u is located on the border of both cities. :) Happy painting and shopping to you!
