Combination lo mein, vegetables chop suey, fried rice
Rose P.

We went here last year around Christmas and I was disappointed the food was either too salty or no flavor at all and wasn't generous with the meats BUT yesterday we came back as I am really craving for egg drop soup and just didn't feel like cooking that night so after a year we gave it a chance again. Service was great they are friendly and they try to help you as soon as you get seated the fact that they get alot of phone calls for to go orders. Me and my husband find the ambiance relaxing. We ordered vegetable chop suey side of fried rice, combination lo mien served with egg drop soup a piece of wantons and a piece of egg roll. First of all I have trust issues with Chinese restaurants because I'm asian and I know how they suppose to taste like and considering I worked with restaurant industry. Egg drop soup was flavorful not too salty you can really taste the egg and tofu flavor Wantons are ok Egg rolls was delicious my husband likes it Combination lo mien is flavorful the sauce was really delicious very generous with the meat and serving i think i could be best if added more veggies like carrots and cabbage Vegetable chop suey is really good too the veggies are not over cooked. Fried rice was good too it's not dry and it has a good flavor Not to mention i loved that you don't need to ask for chilli oil it's right off your table and it is epic i love chilli oil it adds flavor to any dish! So yes we would definitely go back again and I highly recommend this place! 4 stars because it might not me consistent so unless they keep it that way then they'll gain the 5

Love going to get orange chicken, beef fried rice and the best cream cheese wontons! It's very consistent and that's why we love it!

Their hot and sour soup is THE BEST. Love the twice cooked pork. The rest is average.

Great service, good portions, good food! Affordable and quick. I had the sesame chicken:read more

**Ambiance** The…read morerestaurant itself is a decent size with plenty of seating and large booths, so it would be comfortable for families or larger groups. **Service** Service was great. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The staff spoke English as well as either Cantonese or Mandarin, which initially gave me high hopes for the food. **Food** I won't lie--I came in with pretty moderate expectations. After chatting with the staff in both Mandarin and Cantonese, I thought we were in for a really authentic meal. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We ordered five dishes, and it quickly became apparent that the food is heavily catered toward American tastes. Several dishes contained ingredients that traditionally wouldn't be included, while other key ingredients were missing altogether. The biggest issue for me was the sweetness. Three of the five dishes were noticeably sweet, which isn't what I expected from the dishes we ordered. The standout dish of the meal was the Mongolian Beef. It was flavorful and wasn't overly sweet. That said, it lacked the spice I typically associate with the dish. The Mapo Tofu was probably the biggest surprise. It was missing the ground pork that usually gives the dish so much flavor and texture. Instead, it included bell peppers, onions, and water chestnuts--ingredients I've personally never seen in Mapo Tofu. Rather than being spicy and numbing, the dominant flavor was sweetness. The Chicken Pan-Fried Noodles were difficult to enjoy. The sauce was very sweet, and the noodles were cooked to the point where they were tough and chewy. Instead of the thinner noodles commonly used for this dish, they used thick noodles that reminded me more of lo mein. We also ordered a Beef and Scallion dish. It felt more like a beef chop suey variation with scallions added. The scallions themselves were cooked perfectly, but once again the sauce leaned much sweeter than expected. The Hot and Sour Soup was actually the first item to arrive. I jokingly told my family that if the soup wasn't good, I might be worried about the rest of the meal because hot and sour soup is one of those dishes that really showcases balance and technique. Unfortunately, it ended up confirming my concerns. It lacked the bold sour and spicy flavors that make the dish so enjoyable. By the end of the meal, we had a lot of leftovers. The only items we brought home were the Mongolian Beef and a few pieces of beef picked out from the Beef and Scallion dish. **Overall** This restaurant may appeal to diners who enjoy sweeter, Americanized Chinese food, but it wasn't for me. Based on this visit, I wouldn't return, and I wouldn't personally recommend it to anyone looking for the flavors and dishes I grew up eating.

I liked the people, the place, the menu, the location, but honestly I paid $30 for leftovers that I can't eat. It's a shame. I've never before seen anything this greasy. The owner came out to my car after I exited and asked why I didn't like it. While I respect that, he explained that what appeared as grease was instead, sauce, and that it was flash fried. The problem is that neither the sauce nor grease had taste or spice. When I placed several pieces of beef on a napkin, they saturated the napkin with oil. Maybe it's an oily sauce? They were generous with the beef. The beef quality was pretty good, and the vegetables were unique enough to merit praise. If it were me, I would ramp up the taste quotient in either the marinade or sauce, eliminate 90% of the oil, as it's unnecessary, and add spice. This could be a healthy dish if they used avocado oil, way less oil, and reduced the salt.
