Love going to get orange chicken, beef fried rice and the best cream cheese wontons! It's very consistent and that's why we love it!

Worst customer service in a really long time. Sat down at noon to meet some friends for a quick lunch. (7 tables already seated) I saw and joined my party and sat for another 15 minutes till somebody in my party mentioned to the server (they had two servers on staff) that we were ready to order. She said.. "Yeah, yeah... I'll be back." When she returned to our table to get our orders, she approached the table angrily, did not utter a word... And after about 30 seconds of uncomfortable silence, she put both her arms up in an angry shrug, "what do you want??" kind of motion. We proceeded to order or meals. She never asked about beverages. So we all drank free water. In fact... She never uttered a word to us after the "yeah yeah, I'll be back." Food was average. Won't be back. read more

It doesn't seem like a very fancy or extraordinary place to eat but let me tell you. I've eaten lots of Chinese food in my day and they had the best orange chicken I have ever had. Prices are super reasonable as well. The menu was abundant and all of the dishes at my table were incredibly tasty. Favorite Chinese in the area! read more

Dry, bland, not amazing. I came before the lunch rush. ( About 11:15am or so.) The restaurant was empty and I easily picked up my "to-go" order. Sad to say, it wasn't delicious. (Veggie lo mein and veggie chow mein.) I have had worse Chinese food, but this was not great. The staff was nice and the price was fair, but the food leaves much to be desired. Like this place a lot. Good quality food and very generous portions. I love the hot and sour soup. So much so, when I got a bad cold, I craved it so bad I drove my sick self there, got a quart of hot and sour, and drank the whole thing in the parking lot. I DID feel better. They are only getting 4 stars because we will drive out to Falcon from Colorado Springs just to get the Orange Chicken. Their Orange chicken is amazing and I got the cashew chicken which was equally amazing. Skip the egg rolls, they are nasty! Also the service was lacking. Not at all friendly. Usually we just get it to go and eat at my parents, but they weren't around so we sat down to eat. We will be back, but delivery or pick up only and I will NEVER order the egg rolls again! read more

We deliver here when we need something a little different. The food is average, service is average, it's a little hard to order over the phone. We went to eat there for my wifes birthday. The vegetables for my dish was really done nicely and portions were not what I usually get from a Chinese Restaurant and food was ok. They use small oval white plates and put a large portion of rice and not as much for the entree. My daughter and wife are gluten free and when they both ordered their meal the white sauce was recommended to them. Both of their plates had hardly any white sauce and was pretty dry and neither of them liked the food at all. I am sad to say we probably will not go back there again and if China Recipe did not have problems with there credit card machines we would have eaten there. The interior looked pretty nice and you know that you are eating in a Chinese Restaurant, but that does not make up for the quality and portions of the food. Spend your money elsewhere because we spent over $50 for what was not worth the amount we paid. read more

Not a fan. I should have read the reviews before coming here. The food is good if you are not a picky Chinese food eater. We asked the waiter if the Chow Mein is crunchy. He said yes. It was not noodles. It was all bean sprouts and fried won ton skins on top. If it was flavorful, we would have been okay with it, but it wasn't. This is the best authentic Chinese restaurant in town. Like stopping into Bejing without traffic. Food that is light and healthy with amazing combination of tastes. Worth far more than the cost. It was ok. Standard fare with meh quality food. We had sweet/sour pork, orange chicken, and General Tso's. Their fried rice is steamed rice with a bunch of soy sauce and maybe half a scrambled egg thrown in. Steam dumpling was not bad, but the eggrolls were quite dry. Don't waste your money or time eating there. I ordered three lunch dinners to go......took the food to friends house to eat....threw most of it out. The Won Ton soup extremely salty and won tons were rubbery. The egg rolls were rubber, the rice dried out and shrimp was like leather. I called to complain, the manager was not in and person on phone wanted me to bring the order back..... and not willing to believe me....I wasn't about to go back to friends house, dig the food out of the trash and return to the restaurant to prove it. At age 72 years old this was the first time I ever was disappointed to the point of complaining. Well, let me say that the negative reviews on here really surprise me. I have been getting their delivery and pick up in the old location and their current one, and never a bad meal in 15 years, once a month, some 180 meals. Quite the opposite. My regular choice of dinner is the garlic eggplant with shrimp. Agreed the lady (owner ?) can be a bit short, but I don't go into an establishment to pick up an order to have my ass kissed - gimme the food. The area around the kitchen entrance is a bit scruffy and an eyesore with the totes of used plates, delivery cartons etc. Nothing that can't be improved. read more

This establishment has a fair amount of poor reviews but I decided to remain optimistic and give it a go. I'm glad I did. The food was excellent. The portions were perfect. Service was friendly. Horrible. I have ordered from here for years. The last few times has shown how bad it has really gone down hill. The food was spilled all over the inside of the bag for delivery to start. The food was straight up nasty, my daughter had the soup and experienced food poisoning shortly after. No one ate much due to its taste, look and smell. I placed my usual order. Have been ordering it for 3+ years now. Shrimp and lobster sauce, extra sauce and no vegetables. We went to pick it up, bring it home (40 min round trip). The ticket shows my order the way I placed it, but I end up with extra veggies and almost no sauce. Afterabout two weeks of eyeballing Bamboo Garden we stopped in for Chinese food. My boyfriend had been there many times and loved it but I hadn't been in. Upon entering the atmosphere seemed very nice. It's a very pretty place, however we were in two hours before close and they started vacuuming the floor in the restaurant! Not only did that kill the atmosphere for me but it worked up my allergies kicking up dust and I had to run to my car for tissues! That made me feel horrible having to get a tissue every few minutes for the rest of dinner...Ontop of that the staff didn't seem friendly, weren't talkative, didn't smile.. Onto the food. I haven't tried hardly any Chinese food so I guess I don't know the standards but I thought it was fantastic. The cheese wontons were amazing, though seemed a little skimped on the cheese and what ever else is inside them. But delicious. We shared a plate of wontons (8) and a plate of sesame chicken that we put over rice. I loved the chicken! The portions were definitely generous. With one bowl of rice, one serving of wontons and the chicken we were both so full we had to sit in the parking lot for half an hour before we were able to drive! And there was leftovers! I brought home the left over chicken and had it for lunch the next day. Tasted pretty good reheated too. Good food, not the best service. I think I'll be ordering take out from here rather than staying in. Oh! And the whole dinner that stuffed us costed barely over $20!!! I liked that. read more

Have been to this restaurant before and food was good. Last night the food was awful. The eggroll was dry. Ordered combination beef, chicken and shrimp. There was 2 microscopic pieces of beef. My son-in-law ordered a house special hot pot. It had tofu in it, but wasn't supposed to. Then while eating they started to vacuum the carpet around us. No one ever ask if we needed anything else and we had to ask someone for take out boxes. The service and the food was not good, don't think we are going back. read more

I love Bamboo Garden. I love Chinese and Japanese Food so it is not hard to win me over at this place. I really like the professional Décor and the beautiful art paintings and atmosphere that they add for ambiance. It shows that they are interested in making it always a pleasurable dining experience. The food is great and there is plenty of it. I always bring home food in doggie bags its so much. I love their Plum Wine. And their FU FU Platter for Two. So cool and awesome. Try this place if you are looking for a great restaurant to take your family to if you want Chinese or Asian Food. read more

We recently moved to the area and were looking for something other than pizza for delivery. I was a bit skeptical to try this place, but I was pleasantly surprised! The food was great and the serving sizes are pretty big. My two kids LOVE the wonton soup and the fried wontons as well. My review is strictly in regards to Bamboo Garden's Egg Foo Yung. I'm from the east coast and I have never in my life seen egg foo yung like they serve. It's full of flour, looks like a Pennsylvania Dutch pancake because it is so thick and I didn't see any egg! I've eaten at other Chinese restaurants in Colorado Springs and the same meal is slightly different but it does have egg in it. Egg Foo Yung should be predominately egg and it's much better if the vegetables are cooked with the egg scramble. I've only had a few other dishes at Bamboo Garden but I recommend that you save your money on any of their egg foo yung dishes. read more

Quite possibly the worst chinese food I've ever had (to throw in the trash). The delivery was timely but I wish the car had broken down and they didn't make it to the house. The beef sticks were like jerky, only saltier. I think the brown slivers of something? were supposed to be chicken in the chic fried rice. The Po Po (their spelling) platter with dried up chicken wings and more overcooked ribs and wontons was inedible. The skinny egg roll is what I always knew of as a spring roll was tasteless. I know there aren't too many choices in Falcon but have no idea how a place like this manages to survive serving this quality of food. Bad service. I've eaten at the Bamboo Garden several times for lunch and the food has been just fine. Tonight I was flying down highway 24 trying make dinner before their 9:00 closing, knowing I wouldn't make the Springs by 9:00. Walked in the door at 8:40 and both the waitstaff check their watches (always a bad sign!). Was told, "Sorry too late for dining in". It seems that when their sign says 9:00, you better be out of their restaurant by then! read more

Be very careful if you have food allergies!! I was very specific when I ordered the combination Lo Mein noodles for no shrimp and said I am allergic to shellfish. Picked up order and got back to my house to eat and it smelled/tasted like shrimp at first bite. No shrimp in the noodles but I think they had pre-cooked it or cooked it in the same pan. I stopped eating it right away and called them to tell them. The lady first offered to send over a replacement but I requested a refund because I cannot trust that they won't mix food like that again. She then gave me a very bad attitude, said she would void the transaction, and hung up on me after saying they "donated" the food! Wow! Absolutely horrible customer service and just plain dangerous for folks with food allergies. Beware!! read more
