A friend and i went to this salon to get acrylic full sets. Both of our nails were extremely thick and chunky with the lengths not matching on every nail. The tech that did my nails specifically argued with me over the length i wanted and the colors i was choosing based off a picture. I had asked her 3 separate times to cut my nails shorter and each time she glared at me and argued with me. I have restrictions on length for work and she refused to listen to me. I had to file them at home. Moreover, my nails and my friends looked nothing like the pictures we came in with and they were not complicated pictures compared to the designs they claim to have done on their website. Overall I'm really happy with the service I received at Bamboo! I got a full set of SNS and I absolutely love the color - they have a TON of colors to choose from. I have a really bad picking and biting habit (as you can see from my pictures) and Tammy never caused any pain to my existing wounds/cuts. She was very gentle and professional. The reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because I was charged an extra $5 for my cuticles to be cleaned up. I'm from the west coast where this is usually included in any nail treatment so I'm not sure if that's the norm here, but something to keep in mind. I would recommend Tammy but do keep in mind that she is a manager so she is on the phone and attending to other walk in customers at the same time. Again, this didn't bother me because I wasn't in a rush and I'm not a chatty customer but if you are probably best to get another technician. I would say this probably not a great place to come if you're wanting somewhere relaxing because I went on a Saturday and it was packed! I've never seen a salon so full before, which is not a bad thing and I didn't mind but something to keep in mind if you are wanting a quiet atmosphere. I rarely write reviews and have contemplated writing this, but feel it is necessary. I picked Bamboo Nails because their website stresses cleanliness and sanitation standards they take. They also advertise personal pedicure tools assigned to customers, which is a really nice option to know the tools they use on you are not being used on others. This is a great option but was told it was no longer available due to the influx of customers and nowhere to store the boxes. This was not a deal breaker for me as most salons do not offer this anyways. I sat down for my pedicure and the tech started, the tools she used were not opened in front of me so I had no idea if those had been sanitized. Typically, the tools come in a sealed bag and are opened in front of the customer. Again, I should have asked but I did not. It wasn't until she started using this very used nail file, buffer, and pumice stone on my feet that I started having concerns. The tech rinsed the used tools including the pumice stone in my used tub water and placed them back in her cart. We proceeded to the nail station for the manicure and she sat me at a station that had a used green towel with nail dust, nail skin, and wax. She didn't remove the towel and proceeded to work on my hands, it was until I washed my hands is when a new towel was brought out and placed on top of the old one. She also used the same used nail file and buffer on my nails. I would also advise the salon get rid of those built in UV nail dryer lights. The openings are a hazard due to the sharp title surrounding the make shift cut out the nail dryer is placed in. Also there is a ton of dust and nail debris gathered in those cut outs which is gross. My biggest concern with my whole experience is the sanitation standards of this place. I should have stopped at the pedicure and asked questions. I will not be coming back or recommending this place based on what I experienced. Also my tech did not wear gloves throughout the entire pedicure or manicure process and used her sharp thumb nail to get excess polish off which was uncomfortable. read more

From the start, Hanna was engaged in what I wanted and aimed to make me happy! She is also super sweet and funny! I got a new style that I had never gotten before, and was nervous that it would be too much or too long! BUT Hanna made my nails look EXACTLY how I wanted. Paid $27 cash for what I thought would be a 30 minute pedicure. 23 minutes start to finish. Also, the guy was super rough. When pushing back and trimming cuticles, he made me bleed on my big toes. He spent probably 3-4 minutes total trying to get the bleeding to stop with some kind of liquid. My big toes are still tender, two days later. I feel that this place is not what it used to be. Susan is the best in the world at pedicures and gel polish I love her! I wish she did SNS so I could have her do my nails too. I have never written a negative review, but I left this place nearly in tears. My nail technician (middle-aged man) was nice, so I kind of brushed it off when he made my cuticle bleed as we started my manicure. It stung, but I guess it happens sometimes. However, once he started filing my nails after the polish had dried, he literally sliced my finger with the nail file. I think we all know how sensitive finger tips are, so I literally couldn't help myself from verbalizing "ouch". I was shocked when I looked at finger to see how badly it had been cut. I probably wouldn't have been as angry if my technician didn't say "it's just a little cut." He then proceeded to bring out the bags of wax for me to put my hands in without even considering that hot wax probably is not a good idea for an open cut. After refusing, I think he realized that I was not happy. He then took a couple dollars off my bill and asked me not to give him a bad review. Attached are pictures from inside the salon and once I got into my car. At this moment, I'm slathering my finger in Neosporin and trying to ignore how much burns. Bamboo nails is the best nail salon I've been to in the area. I get tons of compliments on my nails and recommend them to everyone. All of the technicians are consistent, I always get an sns manicure, which lasts a little over a month for me. I love that there are a ton of different colors to pick from and they even keep personal boxes for repeat customers with the nail tools they use on you. One week later update: the design on my thumbs started lifting off the same night if gotten them done... I was offered a redo of the thumbs which I got Monday after work. The design was done with thick lines compared to the same design on my pinky nails. Later that night other nail designs started lifting as well. I have been asking my boyfriend to do the dishes and other chores to see exactly how long a design would last. It's honestly not worth the extreme upcharge to get a design. Considering how much this cost and how well I tipped, I would expect the design to last a full week at minimum. I paid $75 for something I hated. My friend and I arrived for our appointments and still had to wait an extra 30 minutes when we were on a tight schedule. I made my appointment with the owner because I knew specifically what I wanted and expected the owner would be the best at it. I already had my plan A and plan B looks for my nails ready. I showed her a pic of what I wanted and she said she could do it. I would have been fine with going with plan B had she been honest about not being able to achieve what I wanted. As she is doing the work, I notice some moons are looking crooked and ask her to fix them. She disregards it and tries covering it instead with the white powder. Many nails don't match up with the moon and point aligning. She told me my set would take an hour and it took 3 hours. They were supposed to be in colors, but she took so long that I had to tell her to just leave them white. Had she tried to do the colors, I'm not sure how that would have turned out as she left very little white after filing and omg the cuts! Both my friend and I have cuts! Anyway, to anyone not picky these nails will look fine. I however paid 75 for nails that are crooked, uneven, and don't look like what I wanted. The owner did not care to make this right. This is the best experience I've had since I moved from the Dallas area 3 years ago. Originally, I planned on going to another nail salon but once I saw the place, I felt uneasy and searched for another salon. I came across Bamboo; they were open on Sundays and had good reviews. So I'm writing this review about myself and a friend they came on December 20 of 2018. So this is my second time coming to the salon the first time they lied to me on the prices ,When I was getting my nails done they said it was $90 and then when I got to the register it was $110. I do not wanna argue since I had to work that day so I let it go and I tipped them. We came in today December 20 myself and a friend we went to go get Mani and pedis. I was the first one that came to the place they sat me down and started to do my hair nails. my friend came second and she say down next to me and no one was assisting her. I kept asking my nail lady if anyone was going to help her she said someone was going to be with her shortly when it did not happen I asked her again and she snapped at me saying that someone will assist her but in a bad tone. After much talking with my nail tech we finally got my friend her own nail tech. So as she's getting her nails done I'm listening to the conversation that her and her nail tech or having and the first problem was that they could not do ombre French manicure they said it was because I was gonna look dirty looking when at our normal place we go to the always do this. Second thing is that they charge extra for taking nail polish off and for the shape of the nail which I thought was ridiculous because I've been to many salons and they've never done that to us. When I asked her why the extra charge for the shape of the nail ,my friends nail tech lady snapped at me and said that's just what we do here but we were never told that at the beginning of the manicures and pedicures. I think that the whole situation could've been handled better because they were responding to their questions in a rude manner. I LOVE this nail salon. They are always so kind & have become my go-to spot since moving here a few years ago. Most recently, I got my nails done and the next day they started chipping. I got a gel manicure so I was kinda bummed. I decided to go in to ask for them to fix it--David, who originally did my nails, not only fixed the nail that chipped, but he checked the rest of them thoroughly, redid another he saw that was about to chip, and added another top coat to all of my nails to make sure they would last.
