Hands down my FAVORITE sushi spot in Denver. I am about as loyal as it gets, I've introduced Bamboo LoHi to 10+ friends. Its my date night and girls night catch up spot and on occasion have eaten here alone. I even bought $500 in gift cards when they have the deals going on. Obsessed is an understatement. The servers are always so nice! I have had one waitress a few times, long black hair and a true girls girl.. I forgot her name but she knows who she is! I've been here at least 20 times and order online to take home an additional 10+ times in the past 3 years. Just finally getting around to writing a review. On good days definitely sit outside, beyond lovely. I prefer not to sit in the smaller two people tables because there are times it gets super packed. Go To Order Always: Cucumber Sunomono Spicy Crispy Tuna Rice (side truffle ell sauce) Switch It Up Addition Orders: Bamboo Dragon Rolls Sunset Roll Albacore Crispy Onion Happy Hour Hand Rolls But do not order the Avocado, as a true fan of Bamboo that was not good. lol Never again. This place is a gem! Their happy hour is amazing. We arrived and were quickly seated, as there were not a lot of people dining here... and after eating here, I'm not sure why. It's amazing. The staff are super friendly! The food is amazing. And the place is so elevated and clean. We checked out the place for happy hour since we're eating after, and we got super full but it was so good! The sushi roll (Friday the 13th) literally melted in your mouth - you didn't even need soy sauce since it was so so flavorful. The drinks were fresh but stiff! It was great that they did not hold back. The appetizers were amazing and packed with flavor. They aren't big plates, but they are filling and so good. I definitely plan to return! Very good sushi restaurant in downtown Denver. Went here while visiting family in Denver. I have to say it is a really great restaurant. The ambience is very clean and visually appealing. I came on a late Sunday afternoon and was able to find neighborhood parking pretty easily. It's a contemporary space and it wasn't that busy when we were there. I ordered the watermelon Mojito, shrimp tempura, and fried rice. The fried rice was a very large portion and I was able to take some of it home. With a glass of wine, the total was $50 which I thought was reasonable. The food was good and the service was friendly. read more

The Green Machine Roll and Black Sesame Brownie were incredible. The roll was so crunchy and perfectly fried. The brownie was warm and soft. Everything else was pretty standard. My least favorite thing I ordered was the Cucumber Sunomono. It was too plain and could've used more sauce and flavor. Price-wise, a little high, but the service is quick. My best friend and I are obsessed with Bamboo Sushi -- we come just for the Green Machine roll. It's total umami perfection and unlike any sushi roll we've had before. We recently came in to celebrate my birthday, and this time we were lucky enough to have Drew as our server. Not only was he super sweet and attentive, but I also noticed how he greeted every guest who walked in with warmth and professionalism. As someone who's been in the service industry for a long time, I really appreciate when someone goes above and beyond -- and Drew is top-notch. I love Bamboo in LoHi so I was super excited to see one open up closer to me. Stopped in for lunch on Valentine's Day and ordered my usual favs. The King Salmon was sadly super thin and did not taste as fresh as usual. The green machine roll was great. The spicy tuna crispy rice was not good. The rice was over cooked and hard. I'm chocking it up to being newly opened and still needing to train the staff and hope to give this spot other try in 6 months. Until then, I'll be driving further to the LoHi location. read more

This was my first visit to Bamboo Sushi and it did not disappoint! The vibes were modern and relaxing. Service was great and my waiter was very attentive, refilling my water and bringing me more tea without me asking. He stated their fish is sustainably sourced which was great to hear! I ordered the chirashi bowl and it was both flavorful and filling. A bit on the pricier side but a big portion so I felt that I got my money's worth. Absolutely PHENOMENAL. I went here for lunch today and was delightfully surprised at the entire experience. The server was super friendly and fast with service without making me feel rushed or overwhelmed and suggested some amazing nigiri pieces that made me happy dance while I ate. I sat at the sushi bar and the chefs were also super friendly and hospitable and I could tell they all enjoyed and respected each other's company and work. They all seemed extremely experienced and knowledgeable about the food they were serving/creating and were very accommodating with allergies. The raw and seared king salmon nigiri's were my absolute favorite but I didn't have a single piece I didn't absolutely love. The atmosphere was super calm and intimate while also being spacious and open. Seems like the perfect balance of "can be a quiet intimate lunch/early dinner date or work space" and "could turn into a fun lively nighttime sushi and sake spot for a date or friends night out." They also were playing Bad Bunny over the speakers which made it even harder to not dance in my seat as I ate the wonderful food. I also love a good playlist to listen to while having a great meal The pricing I felt was really fair for the quality of fish and proportion of fish to rice in the nigiri... I've spent 2x as much for sushi not nearly as delicious and filling in other highly rated Denver sushi spots. I also love that they are sustainable and ethical with where and how they source their ingredients. Warm atmosphere, amazing quality, great price, amazing service and ethical- Just further justifies me coming back again and again. I came here one afternoon to meet friends, I was parallel parking in a spot that was pretty small so I had to get very close to the car in front of me a couple times to fit. When I went inside to order a cocktail they refused to serve me saying I was clearly drunk, I was not, it was 4pm. They said "we saw you hit the car in front of you 3 times" when I tried to have them come out with me so they could see that this was clearly not accurate as there was not even a single marking, scratch, dent... there wasn't even any disruption to the dust on the car. They refused to go and fact check and asked me to leave. If you are going to make bold accusations, then you should have proof, and if they really did think I was drunk and driving and I actually did hit and run a car, they would have called the police, they did not. So clearly there was some other unknown reason they didn't want me in the establishment, though I don't know what that would be since it was my first and last time in. I was in this building for a total of 15 minutes. read more

Amazing food, atmosphere, and staff! I particularly appreciate the attentiveness, kindness, and enthusiasm of all of the staff.

We walked in and were immediately seated but it took probably 10 minutes for anyone to bring us water, plates, and menus. At this time two waitresses were at our table and made a joke about how they weren't making a great impression as this was our first time at this restaurant. We ordered soft drinks and food. When the drinks came, she let us know there were free refills because the cups are small. She walked past our table several times while we were eating and never checked in on us. We were out of soda and water for half of our meal and were never given refills. Once we finished our food, we had to ask a different waitress for our check and somehow we were in and out in 30 minutes. The food was good, but the lack of service made it so we won't be returning. read more

Wow - our second time to Bamboo, best sushi we've had in Denver & holds up to the best we've had in LA, SF and Seattle (cities where we've lived or been often). We walked into a bustling house Friday the on the early side, so nice to see they have made this amazing space become a neighborhood fixture. We had the miso Cesar, ruby trout nigiri, crispy albacore rice roll, and the Friday the 13th roll - all as good as it gets! I ordered dinner from here last night. The entire meal was tossed. Nothing was seasoned or looked like the photos. The chicken was dry and the cauliflower tempura was awful and dry as well. The salmon crispy rice was mushy and had no spice. Shishito peppers were also mushy and tasted like absolutely nothing. Thoroughly dissatisfied after spending almost $150 with delivery. Eh honestly this place is fine. Definitely not bad, but so so many better places to get sushi. This is like average coroprate chain sushi. Kind of like the chili's or Applebee's of sushi. Not even in the same universe as sushi den, temaki den, or kumuya. Way better sushi at any of those spots, or a good local place is Kazumi. So many better options than Bamboo. Yum!! They have really unique and delicious flavor combos and everyone who works there is lovely. We are excited to go back and try more dishes. My child and I sat at the bar and watched them prepare the yummy food and the chef patiently answered all of our questions about the scrumptious looking garnishes they artfully placed atop the rolls and any other questions we had. They also made it safe for a peanut allergy. Our favorite was definitely the Little Island Roll. The restaurant has a very nice calm and lively feel to it and is an awesome place to eat after a fun, snowy day! All of the food tasted very fresh and everyone there was very patient and friendly.
