Came here to celebrate my bday with my friend! I chose this restaurant before it's Gluten free friendly. We got few nigiris and they were very fresh. We also got a king tide roll. I wish I had asked because the sauce was actually spicy which I can't have. I hope they will indicate that in the menu if the dish is spicy. Overall, I liked it and will come and try other stuff!

Bamboo Sushi has good service, but the food wasn't really to my taste. I tried the cheeseburger, which was a little greasy, and overall the flavors didn't quite hit for me. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is nice, but the food itself didn't impress.

Tldr: nice restaurant with good food (not amazing) and great service. I'd come back We ordered: - Crispy Garlic Tofu: flavor is good and tofu is a bit crispy - The unicorn: this role is okay. I'm not a fan of the jalapeno sauce. Overall, it's not really flavorful in my opinion. - Friday The 13th: I like this role. It's delicious and the crunchy tempura is a nice touch - 7 spiced calamari: it has good flavor and the sauce is yummy too - Crispy rice - Spicy tuna: this is not as good as what I thought. The rice wasn't crispy. It was just chewy.

This is going to be one of our top sushi places. Bamboo's website pushes their sustainability goals along with Monterey Aquarium, MSC and several other certifications. We have been spoiled by our fish purveyor that really liked Back Glory Bay and Ora King Salmon from New Zealand. Both of these are sustainably farmed and are sushi grade. Bamboo is one of the few places I have found that states how they source their fish. Our server was friendly and asked regularly how we were doing. They were busy tonight and the only place we could get was the sushi bar which is always fun when you can talk with the chef especially when the chef knew what they were doing (Brent). My wife's take was the salmon sushi was the best she had tasted. The restaurant had a nice layout with a fun vibe. We recommend Bamboo sushi and will be back. This may become our most popular sushi place.

The service was great our waitresses and servers were really personable and attentive. The place has interesting smell to it but it's not fishy it something else that kinda threw me off but other than that ambiance was very welcoming. Perfect lighting on a summer day i definitely wanna come back and try more things. Price wise I think you get very nice presentation for same price as other sushi places. They also have allergen warnings on their menus and accommodate for no cross contamination. 8.5/10 I'm looking forward to trying more! Also I notice they give room temperature water out which Im not used too. I'm not from area so I was wondering is that's a local thing but I thought worth mentioning. You may have to ask for ice!

Went for first time on the night of one of the San Ramon Jazz series performances. It was crowded, but they did a great job with promptly serving us and tending to us. The food was wonderful and the selection was a most welcome surprise. So many wonderful things to choose from! We particularly appreciated some great service from our waiter Jett. Will be back for sure.

Very good sushi and appetizers. I love ordering lemon cilantro and kobe beef roll i highly recommend for anybody in the east county

Green machine sauce is definitely the star of this restaurant. It's very addicting and a must try, I recommend the green machine roll! The wagyu burger was also quite tasty with a jammy and runny egg. The taro chips were very tasty and crunchy, definitely unique and very good!

If you're in the San Ramon/Dublin area and haven't been to Bamboo Sushi yet, you're seriously missing out. This place has quickly become one of my go-to spots. The vibe fits right in with City Center clean, modern, but still relaxed enough where you don't feel out of place coming in after a long day. It's great for a date night or even just grabbing dinner after running errands nearby. The sushi is consistently fresh and super high quality. You can tell they care about what they're serving. The rolls are creative without trying too hard, and everything we ordered from nigiri to specialty rolls was on point. Definitely recommend asking for suggestions if you're not sure what to get. Service has always been solid too friendly, quick, and actually attentive. Big plus for being sustainability focused as well. It's nice supporting a spot that's doing things the right way. Honestly one of the best sushi options in the Tri-Valley. We'll definitely keep coming back.

We were lucky enough to dine here during Restaurant Week and tried the menu. I remember passing by this spot when visiting Portland and didn't get to try it so happy it's in San Ramon! Ambiance is nice and modern- we had to wait a bit for our table and glad we got a spacious area in the back with our toddler. It was busy and our server was very knowledgeable and nice but he got a bit slammed and I had to request water refills multiple times. Quality of the food was good- fish was fresh, rolls were creative, wagyu burger was tasty, and the restaurant week menu was a good deal given the original higher priced menu. I'd like to try more of the rolls next time!

The host and waitress I had tonight was excellent! Very kind and efficient staff, I had a problem with my water and it got swapped out immediately. 10/10 for service and hospitality. The food itself looks really pretty, but it borders between good and okay. Got the Setto tonight which comes with 6 pc nigiri + 9 pc sashimi -- 5/5 This was very tasty, especially the salmon sashimi, salmon and octopus nigiri, wonderfully done. Spicy tuna crispy rice -- 5/5 Tasty treat, crispy exterior and soft inside, good portion and flavor for spicy tuna topping. Salmon hosomaki roll -- 3/5 Just the standard salmon sashimi wrapped in rice and seaweed, it's okay. Green machine -- 5/5 This is the best vegetarian roll I've ever had, so yummy! Sunset roll -- 3/5 Tasted just like the tuna crispy rice topping, not too exciting. They also serve a salad at the beginning and that was really refreshing! 5/5 Water -- 2/5 Tasted like detergent, got a new water and it tasted just like tap, some restaurants water is better than others, this is probably the worst thing I had tonight; but if you don't care about the water, Bamboo is fantastic. Great interior lighting, friendly staff, and good food.

San Ramon-This place has been a favorite for several years, mainly because they are gluten & dairy free. This is a HUGE plus for my two besties. We started with the tempura veggies. Light and fluffy, they were chef's kiss! Rolls-Rivers & Streams, Full Circle, and Garden of Eden. WOOHOO! We were in SUSHI Heaven!! All of their fish is extremely fresh and I love how they add unusual items (watercress, leeks, kewpie dill aioli) to their rolls. We've been repeat noshers here for years.

Came in for the first time for lunch today with the family. It's so fun inside! It's clean and has a great vibe. I also loved how different the menu is. It's not the traditional Japanese cuisine, but a lot of fun fusion options and modern dishes. Great options for kiddos. My favorite was probably the nigiri set--- the fish is fresh and delicious. What could have made this 5 stars was the service. Our server did the bare minimum. Took our order, checked in once and gave us our check.

They also offer mocktails which I wish I had time to try and savor. I ordered the Kao Soi Braised Short Ribs, and it was absolutely stunning; beautifully presented, generously portioned, and deeply comforting. The rich broth, tender bone-in ribs, and flavorful noodles made every bite memorable. I couldn't even finish the entire dish because I wanted to savore it slowly. Horrible experience and I never will go back and this is not the first time there has been bad service with wrong orders before. Some were reserved, but the waitress let us know that it was actually open. The cuisine is mixed being mainly American, but with some Italian and Asian inspired items. The menu had a decent amount of everything from shareables to main dishes (pasta and meat) and rolls. It was more on the pricier side with the rolls ranging between $20-$28 and most of the main dishes being in the 30s. What we got: - Chicken Karaage: not your typical Japanese app, it was coated in a sesame oil dressing on a bed of greens and cucumber slices. pretty tasty and not dry - Rainbow Roll: a bit too much rice and wasn't very authentic, fish wasn't fresh - Wagyu Beef Burger: removing the mushrooms meant just meat bun and fried shallots ? meat had a great flavor but fries were salty and not $30 worth Our verdict was that the ambiance was nice and seemed more like people came for the drinks / atmosphere -- not for the food. I'd probably skip out on the food and just get the drinks or chicken karaage if I came back. Service was also just alright. Not much interaction from our waiter and it kind of just felt like we ordered and that was it?

We were seated immediately. Beautiful and spacious inside, customer service was good. We had the yellowtail for the appetizer (yummy!) and the chicken vermicelli and the lemongrass pork chop for our mains. The chicken was nice and tender with a nice char. Plenty of vegetables. Dipping sauce included. I asked for chili oil and they said they charge $3 for it. I have never heard of such thing. The lemongrass pork chop tasted good as well, nice sear to it and it was tender. No dipping sauce included, we had to ask for it. I wanted a Diet Coke but they said they don't serve sodas, only sparkling waters (I believe flavored ones). So we opted for just water instead. Our server was friendly and attentive. When the bill came I was surprised they automatically added a 20% tip for a party of 2. You don't normally see that for small parties, I also don't remember seeing it on the menu, maybe I overlooked it. Overall this was a nice place to have lunch, for the price point, however, I was expecting more flavor and bigger servings. It was definitely good but nothing spectacular. We paid $100 for 2 people including 1 iced coffee. I was told by my companion the iced coffee was okay. This place is at the lot so plenty of parking.

Ordered takeout since we were so tired after tennis. It was nice that they have a seperate door to pick up take out so while I waited on the curbside DD ran into pick up. Easy peasy. When we got home we immediately inhaled it. Loved how they separated the filling from the udon and packed the broth separately. Poached egg was creamy still and blended well with the beef and noodles. We came back again yesterday but wanted to actually dine in. There were no longer long lines from when we last dined in years ago. The line went smoothly and the lady was quick and efficient to take our orders and even gathered Hubs' take out rice bowl for later. The gal at the pick up windown was also proficient as her job and even telling me my clams and ginger udon had just ran out so she gave me a number for my table. The tempura station was always one of my favorites. They just ran out of imitation crab but we snagged the last shrimp tempura. Also got a sweet potato and my favorite, pumpkin . 4/5 crunchy not too oily and naturally sweet. No sauce needed We found a table right away which was wiped clean. DD was half way through her udon when mine barely arrived. After the first sip of broth, it quickly reminded me of why we haven't been back in so long. Warm soup vs piping hot. That's why. Fresh cooked clams and butter ginger melted into the broth was a nice change from the usual. The taste was great and flavorful. Clams were blanched nicely with a few unopened shells that I didn't eat. There was also a few with some sand inside which was expected for a fast foodie style place where clam is ordered. 3.5/5 The other downside from the overall dish for both of us was the over sprinkling of green onions. It left a literal bad taste in both our mouths. Clean restrooms. Overall, 3.5

4.5/5 First time…read morehere and was pretty quiet on a Monday night. Inside was so colorful with plenty of seating. Staff was very patient and gave great recommendations. The table ordered the jerk chicken, 2 coconut salmons, 2 P.O.G.s and I ordered a paella oyo! There were rave reviews from the group for the plantains. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it was a very cozy warm experience. The paella was so crispy, the corn was delicious and it was flavorful! Excited to eat my left overs.

The Food: Street Food Double: The chutneys were incredibly flavorful, pairing perfectly with the well-cooked chickpeas. The bara pockets were wonderfully soft and delicious. Beef Patties: The pastry was beautifully crisp and savory. The spiced short rib filling was a total delight--it had a nice kick to it without being overly spicy, which I loved. Oxtail Stew: Generous portion size with plenty of chunky meat that literally falls off the bone. It was perfectly marinated in a great blend of spices. Pairing the stew with a side of their coconut rice is highly recommended! Banana Bread Pudding: Having heard so much hype about this, it was just alright for me. It was cooked perfectly and I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, but it lacked a real wow factor. The Drinks: Red Wine Sangria: Really nice, refreshing, and fruity. Chase The Devil: Fun to try if you want something different, and it has a decent kick, but I would probably skip it next time. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of seating. On top of that, the servers are friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. Definitely worth a visit!

We use the waitlist option on Yelp since they don't do reservations. They have a full bar and often change up their seasonal drinks which is always delish! Pretty big menu for a sushi spot which is great for people who have restrictions ! They are also very accommodating, you just have to ask!

I went around and thought that there's going to be more room but it's not what I expected. Also am surprised that it's that many people on Monday but I guess they're celebrating late Father's Day too? Anyways, the food is really delicious and quality is tremendous. Very upscale honestly especially with how big the portion sizes are. I individually got Chicken Katsudon and it's not really hard. Very chewy and I couldn't finish it since I ate a lot of sushi before it arrived. My sister didn't even finish her individual plate too and so we ended up taking them to go. What shocked me is that they serve us a huge portion of desserts especially the green tea ice cream. I thought that it's only going to be one scoop but they gave us 3! I think the one scoop is for someone's birthday? I don't know. And the vanilla ice cream with grilled pineapple is so yummy and it had a lot of cinnamon flavor I believe. It's one of the best vanilla ice creams I'd ever had. I probably never tasted vanilla ice cream that good before! I also appreciate the staff for helping with us with our orders! They were so helpful and kind to us. If I ever bring my friends over, it'd be this place. I highly recommend for others to try this place because the food here is really amazing!

I'm glad it did because she said there were a lot of people waiting outside at the PH location. By the time we made it to WC, our tables were ready. There were no long wait times for anyone who came after us, maybe 5 minutes. Crowds started thinning out around noon. This was the 1st time any of us dined at The Hangout and it did not disappoint. The staff was very inviting and friendly. The person who took care of us was very helpful with explaining menu items and making suggestions. We were a large party so they had to split our tables but we were right to each other. There is a spacious dining area as well as outdoor seating. Standout dishes: Chicken & waffle - BIG portion. The chicken was crispy and flavorful. It was so good, the entire plate was wiped clean. Crispy chicken with garlic noodles - delicious combination. The garlic noodles were made with real garlic, not just powder. They need to offer this as a side dish. Chicken pops - chopped up, sample size version of the chicken and waffles. Perfect for sharing. We will definitely come back to this location if we're in the area.

There were so many items that I wanted to try, but I only had one stomach. Came here on a Thursday morning and the restaurant was operating at around 20% capacity. The food: Garlic Noodle with Crispy Chicken - Garlic Noodles were tasty. The Crispy Chicken had really nice, almost tempura like batter. Wish it had a little sauce or something to bring it all together. Berry Lover Toast - Two large pieces of French Toast with a blueberry based inside, topped with a ton of stuff including sliced almonds, corn flakes, powdered sugar, sliced grapes and some thinly sliced oranges. There's a lot going on here. I did like the strawberry preserves as a topper - it seemed homemade and it wasn't too sweet. I didn't try any of my friend's Country Potatoes, but they looked legit. Good service and plenty of nearby parking. Properly named, as this is a good place to Hangout!

What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. A special shoutout to our server, Andrew, who was simply fantastic. He went above and beyond to ensure our dietary restrictions were carefully understood and accommodated, which we really appreciated. The flavors are unique, and the spice levels are always spot on. On our most recent visit, we tried: Baby Corn Manchuria: Perfectly crispy and flavorful. Chili Garlic Noodles: A classic done right. What really sets this location apart is the service. A special shout-out to Abida, Vamsi, and Arhaan--they were incredibly caring and checked in frequently to ensure we enjoyed every bite.
