Cute little spot in san Ramon. Tons of options on the menu for everyone from sushi rolls to special fish of the day. Friendly service and responsive. Family owned and operated. Sashimi slices we generous.

Same restaurant. Same people. Same food. Different management. The service was great. Super friendly waitress. She always checked on us. Clean restaurant. I also saw the sushi chef cleaning the sushi station at the end of the night. Well done. We ordered: Agadashi Tofu: Nice portion of big pieces of tofu. Very fresh! Hamachi Deluxe Roll: I was pleased that they offered this as a non-spicy option. It was supposed to come with spicy hamachi in the center with jalapeño and spicy sauce on top. Tonkatsu Ramen: Delicious creamy broth. Very flavorful. The noodles had bite to it. Not mushy. Curry Tonkatsu Dinner: So good! Not greasy. The curry was very good. Not too heavy. The tonkatsu was crispy and crunchy throughout the meal. Sashimi & Tempura: The sashimi were thick slices! Yeah!! The tempura was not greasy. It came with a variety of veggies that you can taste. Will be retuning.

We came here on a Saturday night. It was packed inside and quite busy, all the tables were full and there were plenty of Togo orders. We had to wait a bit to order and get our food but the server was super nice and kept apologizing. Sushi was not bad for the price. The hamachi carpaccio was sliced super thick though. Pricing was decent.

We wanted an early sushi lunch and this place was open .. Cozy spot, friendly staff! Food was good..

Used to be Yayume Sushi. Same great service and food, even similar decor. The soft shell crab was nicely fried. The nigiri wasn't blow you away, but overall very fresh and nice thick slices. Will definitely be back to get that sushi fix.

The food is delicious and reasonable. The standout is the server. She is always pleasant and expedient. The inside is ok. However on a warm day air conditioning would make the experience better.

We ordered takeout. I had Chirashi sushi, and husband and son had salmon and sashimi plate, and a tonkatsu ramen with pork. It was good but not outstanding. I've had fresher fish elsewhere. My son and husband rated their dishes as good, but not the best as well.

Hot and cold rolls mixed. That violates food safety as well.

Change of name but the quality gets even worse. Ordered about 7 items with CLEAR instructions to pack separately so sauces don't mix. The pictures are worth a thousand words. And in the name of fresh wasabi, you get the same pasty packaged thing. Mixing hot roll with cold, being cheap to mix rolls together, giving packaged wasabi as fresh. This is the same old, stale and bad food served under a new label. I don't know why we keep trying, hoping things will improve, only to be disappointed and waste of money. I think they tried to change name so they can avoid old bad reviews but if the quality and service don't change, the bad reviews will catch up.

My family and I come here almost every week. They are a solid Japanese restaurant and have all the basics (sushi, teriyaki, ramen) that you would expect. They recently changed the name and management but the menu and staff is exactly the same. Often times on the weekend they are a bit swamped and have one server doing online orders and tables, so they definitely need to hire more staff. I usually get a roll, or a dinner plate with salmon teriyaki and it's always consistent. Recently I've even been getting a larger portion of salmon teriyaki with my order so that's a plus. Lots of the customers are regulars so there is quite a bit of community with this place and lots of families goto this spot.

    Very clean dining area

I had the lunch special Bento box. Presentation was excellent . I first started with the soup and salad. For the bento box I had many options. I ordered 2 sides teriyaki chicken and salmon, I also had a ball of white rice. Service was great and I didn't feel rushed. I will definitely return again for lun

So incredibly overpriced and disappointing. Their "premium" nigiri (10 pc for $75) was not premium at all. In fact, it was worse than basic/cheap nigiri you get elsewhere. All the pieces were tiny, half of them were chewy, and not at all what the menu said they were supposed to be. For instance, the "king salmon" was "sad" salmon and garnished with some kind of orange marmalade-bizarre and gross. I had to choke down the "Wagyu" nigiri because it was so chewy. I couldn't believe how bad it all was. I should have known the dinner was doomed after I ordered their "Crab amuse," which was three pieces ($18!!) of shredded IMITATION crab wrapped in the thinnest piece of tuna you've ever seen, then placed in a weird, sweet cream sauce. Even the miso soup (which I've never received with nigiri omakase, but ok) was barely room temperature and totally watered down. Sorry, Ukai. I have no idea how your reviews are so high, but you have no business operating as a "sushi" bistro or whatever you want to call yourself. Sigh.

Just to note, there's at least two other sushi places around here, with one across the street and one just down the street in the shopping center next to this one, there' no shortages of sushi spots here. However, with Senro Sushi, if you want affordability it's probably one of the more affordable ones out of all 3 in this area. The place itself is pretty big, with lots of seating inside and very spacious all around with a pretty massive sushi bar area. They are staffed well overall, as even when you go in the morning there's usually a couple of servers at least, and several sushi chefs behind the sushi bar counter area, prepping fish, cutting, making sushi and etc. The service here is pretty good overall. Haven't had any issues. The menu here is, pretty big. They have a bit of everything that's not just sushi options of course. I've tried several things here already, so let me just go through each thing. The lunch bento is probably the best bang for your buck here. Compared to the other sushi spots, you won't be able to find one as cheap as them, and the amount of stuff you get here with it is pretty good too. This bento box does come with miso soup and also a tasty salad (dressing is yummers). You will also get a California Roll with it, which is amazing because their California here is actually quite tasty. One of the better ones hands down. You have the option to choose two other things from the menu (if you choose to go with 2 items), and decide what you want. I've tried the chicken teriyaki, the chicken katsu, and the tempura. All have been good. Hands down what you should get if you're here at that time on a weekday. The Agadashi tofu was just okay. Wasn't terrible, but felt their dashi was really bland, and the tofu itself wasn't fried that well. It needs to be more crisp to avoid it just falling apart when moist. Also, the batter they used just didn't have any flavor to it at all. It was okay. The sushi roll we got was yum. I don't really have much else to say about it other than that it was good. The fish was fresh, the spicy fish was good, and the sauces blended well. Good. The chicken egg don was not great. We had actually mistakenly ordered this instead of the katsudon, and this was just awful. The chicken didn't feel well cooked, the broccoli was just straight steamed with no sauce on it. The egg was overcooked, and not even remotely fluffy for what this is supposed to be. Just overall not at all what I had expected. Overall, Senro is a great spot for affordable sushi options in this area in San Ramon. While it's not going to offer anything super flashy, which the sushi spot in the shopping center across the street may offer, it's also going to be much less of a bill here when all said and done. The bento boxes are hands down the best option here for those here on a weekday lunch. The sushi rolls here are also great. Some of the other stuff we had were just, okay, but overall, was a nice experience here right near the Crow Canyon freeway exit.

The restaurant has a homey vibe to it where it appears to be managed by family members and most customers are repeat. The food here is top notch fresh and they are very generous about their portions. They have HUGE sashimi portions (almost double the size of the typical competitors) and their hand rolls are the size of an extra large ice cream cone. Still they are packed with flavor and made with care. Their shrimp and vegetable tempura was done perfectly (not too greasy nor too much breading), and their amaebi (fresh sweet shrimp) is a must try if you're a shrimp-a-holic. The shrimp head was lightly fried without much breading. Their hand roll is a must try (it's the first hand roll on their menu in the hand roll section) as it's a combination of the various fresh fish including uni (there's a mint leaf to give the hand roll a fresh clean taste). They had one server and one helper but they're very friendly and will take the time to talk with you. A definite spot to hit if you have a light night sushi craving.
