If I had to describe this restaurant in one sentence, I honestly couldn't name a single thing that was worth recommending. First of all, Yelp should do something about restaurants begging customers for reviews. People come here based on those ratings, spend a lot of money, and end up with an experience like this. Almost every appetizer tasted like frozen, pre-packaged food, and even those weren't prepared well. The shrimp tempura was overcooked and the shrimp was tough. The takoyaki had no flavor at all. The fried dumplings were soggy instead of crispy. The kappa roll and avocado roll looked nothing like the photos. They were ridiculously oversized, almost as if they were trying to fill people up with rice instead of making good ingredients. They honestly looked unappetizing before I even took a bite. The udon was simply bad. The soba was even worse--it had a sour, spoiled taste. I took one sip of the broth and immediately spat it out. The service issue wasn't the server's fault. The restaurant had only one server handling an all-you-can-eat operation, so every dish took forever to arrive, and even getting the check took an incredibly long time. First of all. The price for the meal starts at 39.99 regardless of time (lunch and dinner). 39.99 for regular AYCE and 48.99 I think for premium. What we like They have options to order half rolls for special rolls. So we can try variety of stuff. Many options for starters, lumpia, karaage, chashu bun, edamame, etc. Also have katsu and chicken curry , ramen, udon. Expansive menu. We also like that they put the bottle of water on the table so we don't have to keep asking. They do paper orders for nigiri and it's limited to 4 rounds. 2 nigiri order per person. What we don't like They have a limit of 2 special rolls per order. Regardless of half of full order. I wish they would let us do 4 half special rolls OR 2 full rolls per order. We came specifically for the special rolls so it was difficult to order all the types we want within the time frame. And they lock out ordering for 10min. So we can total order probably 5 times IF we keep an eye out for the menu to open up. But when you're eating you wont be paying attention to the screen. The rolls and nigiri are honestly just ok. One of the better AYCE sushi options in the Bay Area! Went in on a Thursday evening and it wasn't too busy. The inside is pretty big with plenty of tables, TVs, and booths. We were seated at a long table as a party of 6 so we got two of the ordering tablets which was nice. For the nigiri's, you order on a piece of paper and we were able to order 12 per round per paper (we got two) and a total of 4 times. We tapped out at two rounds of nigiri, so definitely plenty of nigiri to go around. The fish to rice ratio was actually pretty good and the fish tasted very fresh IMO. We also ordered some rolls and the 49ers was delicious. The tekka maki was good rice to fish ratio as well but the rice was a bit on the mushy side. A lot of people go to AYCE for the flexibility and mindset of ordering freely, not necessarily to overeat, so the restriction takes away from the experience. That said, the fish was actually pretty good and tasted fresh, which I appreciated. Service was fine and the overall experience was decent, but the limitations make it hard to justify coming back for AYCE specifically. The bummer was you can only order those items one time, almost cancelling the what ayce means. They do have a large selection of different items that Harumi doesn't have on their menu. Ordering was through a tablet on the table. However ambiance and service lacked on the day we were eating lunch. Maybe I went on an off day. There was two wait staff during the lunch period and both were very busy and didn't seem wanting to help much. So that was disappointing. I debated dropping my rating down to 4 stars because of my most recent experience here, but the food just tastes too good. Since my last visit, I noticed a big difference in the food and service. Before, the nigiri had barely even a drop of rice. Now, there is a significantly greater amount of rice. I noticed now there is a nigiri limit of 12 orders (2 pieces per order) per person. While although this is definitely a lot of nigiri, the fact that there is a restriction (outside of the 90 minute allotted timeframe) feels like it defeats the purpose of AYCE. If you want to order past this limit, there is an additional $4.99 fee. It feels like they are trying to get people to eat less while charging the same, if not more. During this Sunday afternoon visit, we were not even able to utilize the ordering screens for nigiri. A message would pop up saying "Call the server to order." We had to summon a server any time we wanted to order nigiri instead of conveniently using the screen. The vibe in there just feels completely different now. The TVs were all playing different things. The large one in the center was showing some online gaming tournament of characters running around shooting guns. After dining here one afternoon, I spent the evening and most of the early morning violently ill; 100% food poisoning. We also noticed a price update from the December 2025 menu image--the current price is now $34.99. The restaurant was very spacious and clean, parking was easy, and the service from the staff was amazing. The menu is on a tablet, very easy and convenient. The only exception is that nigiri must be ordered directly from the server, and there is a limit of 12 orders total, with 2 pieces per order per person, which is plenty. I also loved that many of the rolls could be ordered in half sizes, which made it easier to try more items. I liked that the menu had a wide variety of options, including both free and paid items, with fresh, grilled, and fried selections. Everything we tried tasted freshly made, which was a big plus. For drinks, I really liked how the corkage fee is $15, which makes this a great spot for special occasions as well. If you're going for AYCE nigiri, this is your spot. Menu has a ton of choices from appetizers to nigiri to sides and rolls. You can order half-size rolls as well. There were no sashimi option. Service was pretty good and we were seated quickly. There's a separate menu for some specials where for a $1, you can order an unagi nigiri, and for $2 a hamachi collar. Place was clean and cozy. Located on the corner of a quaint plaza, this spot is the new place to check out for ayce sushi! We had great customer service and quality nigiri and japanese food options. I highly recommend this place as the newest spot to try in the area! read more

Came here on a Tuesday night. Restaurant was not too busy, but later started to fill up. The restaurant atmosphere was very cozy and clean. We were seated right away. The host explained to us how everything worked in regards to the AYCE. Some of the highlights: Salmon nigiri - 4/5: this is my go to and my gauge as to how the remaining sushi will be. This was good. Cut differently than I'm used to with little rice. That was a pleasant surprise. This was a good start as it tasted surprisingly fresh for AYCE. Albacore Nigiri - 3/5: this one did not taste as fresh, but acceptable and expected of AYCE. Momo Roll - 4/5: This roll was very good with crunchy tempura bits. Loved this roll. Salmon Lover Roll - 3/5: this tasted like they used the least fresh salmon as put mad sauce to mask it. The shrimp tempura inside was not crispy. KFC - 4/5: this was surprisingly fresh. Expected to be mass fried but seems to have been freshly fried with good flavor. Not sure if they always do this or we just got lucky. Pork Katsu - 5/5: my wife ordered this. I expected this to be your typical fried katsu that is dry on the inside with a bland exterior. This was the complete opposite. The pork was tender and juicy while the exterior had a crispy texture with good seasoning. This had to be the highlight of the night. Soba noodles - 3/5: good but nothing special here. Sashimi Taco - 3/5: sashimi, mango and jalapeño in a crispy taco shell. Was good but don't need to order again. Jalapeño Bomb - 4/5: Jalapeño stuffed with cream cheese, tempura fried. This was very good. Not spicy but flavorful. Cucumber Salad - 4/5: this was very tasty with miso on the bottom. This is one of the better cucumber salads we've had. Agedashi Tofu - 3/5: I have had better where the tofu is softer with a little thicker crispy exterior. This is still acceptable for AYCE. We ordered more but unfortunately cannot recall the rest. Service was very attentive. The only mishap was the last rolls I ordered was supposed to be half rolls, but received full rolls. Not a big deal as I enjoyed them. After the meal, it would have been nice to offer some sort of small dessert. Overall, this is a step up from other AYCE sushi spots. Recommended if you are craving AYCE. read more
