How is it that my first time picking up a sushi boat, the owner knew who my mom was because I look like her LOL. We usually order Sushi Boat #1 ($125) that serves 7-9 people or Sushi Boat #2 ($195) that serves 10-12 people. I would say the serving sizes are accurate; the sushi is always fresh and it gets compliments every time. The visuals ain't so bad either :) Since you're kind of "renting" the boat, you put in a $100 deposit (must be cash!) when you pick up Sushi Boat #1 and you get your deposit back in full when you return it. We mainly order specialty rolls, sometime hand rolls. Their hand rolls are small in size. My husband and my favorite is their baked scallop roll. Fish are fresh and taste not bad. Ordering on weekend can be a long wait, you have to have enough patience if you order, or order early, otherwise their orders backup and it can take up to an hour before yours is ready. They also have sushi boat, and sushi cake, but I believe you need to order in advance. Want to try so bad but we don't have a party yet, but will try when there is a chance. Like another nearby Sushi place, we found this sushi restaurant, which only takes to go orders, to be reasonably priced. Another restaurant that we were looking at would have been on average about 1/3 more expensive per sushi roll! Online ordering through their website is rather straightforward. They do charge a $1 convenience fee so definitely if you plan to want to get in and out and minimize the fees, coordinate with anyone else who is ordering with you. You do have the option to pay online with your order or wait until you arrive at the store. The menu is filled with appetizers, basic rules, hand rolls and special rolls. There are no grilled items. You will be able to find plenty to choose from. Some of the more unique roles that we ordered included the monster roll, double mango salmon roll and the IV roll. We also picked up some standard but still special selections such as the Rainbow roll, Dragon roll, Spicy Dragon roll, and cherry blossom. Portions are plenty and a great value considering the price point. Ingredients were fresh and tasty, and presentation was beautiful. Everyone commented that a return visit would be in our near future. While picking up our order, we were intrigued by the party platters arranged in a sushi boat or what they call a sushi cake. These range in prices and serving sizes. Definitely worth considering for a larger party. When we arrived, we were immediately greeted by what appears to be a husband and wife or family owners. They were very friendly and eager to see us again. The interior is quite small just large enough for to go orders and waiting spaces should you choose to wait for your order to be completed.
