Do not ever order from this place! We ordered food the egg rolls were burnt to a crisp. We called and complained they said they were replaced and not only that they did not give us any hot mustard or sauce. We figured we would wait for the eggrolls to come back with sauces they ride without sauces our food was cold we opted to send back our food and tell them to put our order in priority since we were now waiting two hours for our order. They called back and canceled our order and said they would not deliver any food and would refund our card. At one time this was a pretty good place. They cut back on the amount of meat in dish. Moo Shu Pork was watery and had little pork. Chow mein was actually still congealed and I had to heat it up to liquify. What bothered hubs was they quit putting pork in his wonton soup. It was just broth w/wontons. Absolutely awful! The first thing I noticed was that the eggroll look like a little burned up cigar it was dry tasteless and rancid. Then I had the beef with garlic sauce; as the old commercial used to say "Where's the beef"? It was chunks of broccoli and mushrooms with three small pieces of beef. Just awful. I try to stick to only positive 4 or 5 star reviews but when it comes either to terrible customer service and/or terrible food, just have to let others know. I had the misfortune of having ordered and spending over $30 here but was able to get the money back (rare in the food delivery industry) because I proved with photos how bad it was, although that only told the visible story. The steamed dumplings had bits of hard meat or God knows what else inside, I threw them away after the second bite of something that tasted like a stone or pebble. The orange chicken was WAY overly fried obviously to compensate for something. I love fried chicken but not like that, just deep overly fried with an awful taste. In from out town looking for a good Chinese restaurant. Read the reviews and decided to give it at try. We were very pleased. Great beef fried rice. Not over cooked until the rice is hard. Actually this was the best fried rice I've ever had, and I've eaten fried rice many times in China. My girlfriend had sesame chicken. Really really good. Great flavor and again not over cooked. They claim to have New York Style Chinese food. Not true. The egg drop soup was good. However the BBQ ribs were smothered in sauce. BBQ ribs should be drier with the sauce embedded. The Szechuan beef had the right spice. The biggest disapointment was the Moo Shu Chicken. The veggies should be fine strands. This dish's veggies were much too thick. The only reason for the missing star is they do have a habit of giving you the wrong food which means you have to run back to have them do it over again. Always get our phone orders right. friendly staff although harder to interact with the covid protocols they put in place. appreciate that they did ! combo's are perfect . great portions . enjoy the general gao chicken and full container of soup and an egg roll. Spareribs I ordered were so awful I just didn't think they would be that way! first their were different types . 3 regular size they were as tough as can be I tried to eat them as the coating was very good. the meat shred and was toughI gave up. three smaller ones different looking then the larger we're a bit less tougher It had to rip meat off so tough . I like this place. I always order delivery and it always shows up in less than 15 mins. They will rush you on the phone and at times mistakes in the order have happened. I have found if you repeat back the order a few times they get the order perfect. The food is always hot and fresh. They have a upper hand from shens across the street because they personally deliver and do not charge you for delivery or use a 3rd party service. They have made substations for me as well. These folks originally started out on Long Island, NY, and have brought down the style of cooking popular in New York to Florida. It is my favorite go to place for Chinese take out and I have been going here since they opened in 2001. Sure, I love the authentic Non-Western influenced Chinese food (growing up in a Taiwanese household, how could I not?), however there are times when all I want is my General Tso's Chicken, Chicken with Broccoli, or Hot & Sour Soup etc. All of your standard favorites are here and almost everything is cooked perfectly. The only criticism I have are with the egg rolls, which are hit or miss. Very odd considering it is probably one of the easiest things to prepare and cook. However, everything else is spot on. Other locations are in Coconut Creek and Boynton Beach. I am not sure if they deliver, as I always pick up on my way to or from somewhere. South Florida has NO really good fast-food Chinese Food. And I'm sticking to it unless otherwise proven wrong! Anyway, this place was lightning quick in taking and making 10 orders that came out to be about $80. Nice people on the phone and in person. That's where the good part ends! The only thing that was okay to was the Veggie Lo-Mein. The fried rice was dry and bland. The BBQ Ribs were way too sweet and way too red (translation: tons of red liquid dye). Steam Pork Dumplings were thick, huge pieces of dough with semi-eatable meat inside. Chicken Chow Fun stuck together, lacking soy sauce and flavor. Sauteed Broccoli and Chicken with Broccoli were a bit too salty but was really well cooked and right thickness with Brown Sauce. That dish was the one that was good to eat after I mixed it with the White Rice. At least I started with really low expectations before I ate their food, lol. read more

I wouldn't touch this place with a ten-foot chopstick. After doing take-out from Bamboo Wok, I got the worst case of food poising I've ever had, I won't go further than that, but needless to say it wasn't pretty. And the worst part about it was that even the food that I had from there wasn't good at all. The fried rice tasted completely bland and devoid of any flavor. Rice is an easy dish to overlook, but if done right can make or break the entire experience, and sadly in this case it is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the lack of quality here. I think if I went to the frozen food section at a supermarket and got the General Tso Chicken that was the cheapest, it would have tasted fresher than the chicken I had here. It was beyond processed and just had a blandness to it that made me regret even trying it. The beef lo mein, same story as the above, the beef tasted processed and the lo mein just was stiff and devoid of any flavor. The only thing here I had which I somewhat found edible was the vegetable egg roll with a bit of duck sauce on it, having said that, this may have been part of the cause of the food poising, but I can't be sure. Major fail on every single level for the food. Pricing was pretty standard as it is at most Chinese restaurants, however the deals/coupons that they offered with basically a slap in the face. They go something like this: spend $25 and get a free can of soda, $35 will get you two cans of soda, and $45 will get you a free fried rice. Other places in the area offer deals that are much better such as full meals as such, so basically these coupons are nothing but cheap gimmicks. The location is in a tiny strip mall, that unless you are going their specifically to pick up food from here, there isn't much any other reason why you would venture to this location. Forget about my food poisoning, the food here is sub-par at best, no specials to attract someone, and the location is 'meh' considering the other options within close driving distance. Maybe I had just one bad experience, but even still there is absolutely nothing about Bamboo Wok that makes me want to come back, and I never will. Food was awful and the Chinese Woman at the front taking orders is the most obnoxious woman I have ever seen in a take out restaurant. Mimicing customers after they ordered to man cooking the food. Very low class. I ordered General Chows Chicken which tasted like pieces of fried nothing. Just crunchy pieces of crunchy pieces of nothing. Very little actual chicken. Then to top it all off I ordered delivery one day and they charge me $4 for delivery. I called back to find out why and they just hung up on me. I am a $10 tipper and to be treated like that coupled with lousy food is worthy of this terrible review.
