I hate that places do this. I'm gonna have to take a break from spending money here after this I feel robbed. People need to stop paying for this crap. We always tip them but when the amount isn't what the driver wants, they demand for more money and most times won't leave the property until we have to get rude with them. It makes me not want to order delivery or even order from them at all. It's very rude and unprofessional. The other night I had to shut the door on the driver. I won't be pressured or bullied into giving more because he didn't like the amount given, he's lucky he even got tipped as tipping is optional..

Bamboo Wok is hands down the best New York style fast food Chinese restaurant in Boca. Although there is no seating available, the food here more than makes up for it. A little confusing when you're standing there looking at a Chinese take-out menu, but whatever. We ordered Orange Chicken, Pork Chow Mein, Pan-Fried Dumplings, Crab Rangoons, and Boneless Ribs. The Orange Chicken was good. The Crab Rangoons were good, but they didn't include the dipping sauce, which seems like a basic thing to include, but things happen. I told the woman at the register that this was my first time there. She directed me to the take-out menus sitting on the counter. I placed my order, paid, and was told it would be ready in about 20 minutes. Something didn't sit right with me, so I looked at my receipt. I went back inside and compared it to the menu. Each item was $1 more than the price on the menu. I asked the same woman about the discrepancy and she said they "haven't made new menus yet." She then shrugged her shoulders and laughed. So apparently the new pricing is already in effect, but the old pricing is still being handed to customers, which is an interesting business model. I suggested that perhaps customers should be told the menus are outdated BEFORE placing their orders, or here's an idea, put up a little sign letting people know the prices have increased. Her response was that she was busy and they would get new menus made "at some point." I understand price increases, but what I don't understand is intentionally giving customers outdated menus, and charging them more, AND only explaining the price discrepancy IF they are asked about it. Meaning IF they are caught. Considering there are a quite a few 55+ senior communities in this area, this is especially concerning. Taking advantage of people, specifically seniors, is truly disgusting. Hunan City, you lost a first-time customer over a few dollars, not because prices went up, but because you apparently couldn't be bothered to tell your customers about it. There are other places nearby with better food, accurate menus, and a little thing called transparency. Hunan City, do better.
