    Vietnamese iced coffee

Drinks are made fresh! Staff is very kind and took the time to explain the drinks. Very quiet and clean cafe highly recommend to visit to try the drinks and their desserts.

I had been eyeing this spot for a while after seeing their unique beverages on Instagram! As well, it's just outside Vaughan Mills Mall, making it quite accessible/a frequently visited spot. There are also lots of parking spots available. I opted for the following two drinks: 1. Stepping out of my comfort zone, I ordered a dessert drink called the SMASHED AVOCADO which contains 8 oz of fresh avocado, boba, rainbow & coffee jellies, and is sweetened with condensed milk. The sweetness level was perfect. The dessert itself was super creamy and thick thanks to the smashed avocados. Lastly, the toppings allowed for a fun chew. This was perfect. 2. You can never go wrong with a TRADITIONAL ICED Vietnamese coffee! To make it even better, I added coffee jellies for a fun chew. Bambi's version has that classic strong coffee flavor with a good amount of sweetness from the condensed milk to balance, leaving no bitter aftertaste. I am intrigued to try this at a 75% sugar level though to see if I'd like it more. Service was very friendly and the employee was very helpful as well. Thought I chose to do takeout, they also have quite a bit of space for dine in, making it a good hangout spot. I highly recommend this spot for a treat!

Oh no, I wish I could rate this cafe highly, especially since I'm also Vietnamese myself :( AMBIANCE + SERVICE Walking in, everything was super clean and the decoration was very cute! There's multiple tables for you to sit and enjoy your desserts, so no stress trying to determine if you'll have seating. Service was absolutely fantastic, shoutout to the sweet girl who was serving our drinks! You were amazing, nothing negative to say about you at all :) FOOD The desserts is really where the cracks formed. I got (all large) #1, #3 and #6, for my dad, my mom and myself, respectively, which came out to ~$41. Since we're all full Vietnamese, my mom adores and loves making Vietnamese desserts since it reminds her of her hometown. My dad--of course--loves to consume Vietnamese desserts. I had high expectations going into the cafe, especially since it was a Vietnamese-based dessert spot which isn't very common in the GTA. Biting into it, my parents and I agreed that it was not up to our standards at all. There was no sweet aroma to the desserts, nor did it consist of much coconut milk. With Vietnamese desserts, there should be a sweet and coconut-y aroma that you can smell before even bringing it close to your mouth--this was not prominent in any of the 3 drinks. #3 is supposed to have Durian in it (according to my immigrant parents), however, there was none. That's okay because it was never mentioned in the drink's ingredients, and that's okay! Regardless, all the drinks were made with mainly coconut water (it tasted like, at least) instead of coconut milk. My parents and I were heavily disappointed and had to throw away half of the drinks--they were definitely not our cup of tea. The drinks were bland--you could taste that each ingredient had been soaking in water for a period of time before being combined into the drink, which made it all the less flavourful. Maybe the coffee would be different, however, the desserts being the main selling point really disappointed us. TDLR: not very authentic Vietnamese desserts. Yes it had the ingredients typical of a Vietnamese desserts, but the flavours and aroma were drastically lacking. Although I'd love to support fellow Vietnamese businesses, I will not be coming back.

#10 - - it comes with red tapioca, pandan jelly, grass, jelly, coconut milk (Such a perfect combination of ingredients - no wonder it was named as that) - ramen noodles wrapped in nori, inside a crispy rice paper shell; comes with noodles (Unique in a way that you taste the soft texture of the noodles and the crunchy rice paper in the outer layer) - tossed in a sweet and savory fish sauce topped with fried garlic and pickled Vietnamese vegetables (Just the flavor is out of this world) Q - comes with noodles (So juicy on the inside) - Savory braised pork belly inside a warm steam taco style bao and Vietnamese pickled vegetables (My favorite, can't describe, just try it ) - grilled Vietnamese pork sausage on a skewer; comes with noodles (Reminds me of the Filipino longganisa or Taiwanese sausage )

Came in for a take out, ordered Bambu Halo halo at half reduced sugar. It's still too sweet for me. Inside deco is very cute and modern, the staff and service are ok, took 15min to get my halo halo.

LA meets Toronto (or Vaughn). After seeing all the hype from LA, I was stoked to try this Vietnamese drink/dessert chain in Canada. Fruit Addict: This had a good variety of toppings including: lychee, longan, jackfruit, palm seed, red tapioca, agar jello, pandan jelly, coconut & coconut milk. Unfortunately the longan was not fresh and tasted really off (maybe cause I've only ever had fresh longan) Red Bean Combo: This was my favorite. A good level of sweetness from the red bean and creaminess from the coconut milk, the red bean and taro were a good pair too Bambu Special: I only ordered it because it was the special but honestly it didn't have much taste at all. The coconut water wasn't coconut-watery or sweet and the toppings kept getting stuck in the straw. Even though a-lot of the components made it drinkable like a beverage, it was really hard to consume I might try their Vietnamese coffee and a few more of their desserts in the future IF I was in the area but wouldn't make a special trip.

I noticed this Chicha San Chen and wanted to check it out. Jason joined me to work off some of the ramen that he had devoured. I've been to the Chicha San Chen at CF Markville. This store is at least twice as big as that location. There were plenty of places to sit down and enjoy your tea. I had a couple of fruity sparkling drinks at the CF Markville place. I was going to ask the man behind the counter if he had them. Instead, he said that he'd be back and I could look at the menu. It was delivered in a not-now-I'm-busy tone. It was odd. It's the only reason why this place doesn't get five stars. I'm so glad that Jason was with me. He said that the woman at CF Markville suggested that he get the high mountain pouchong tea with lemon juice and konjac. I decided to go with this drink. I got this drink with less sugar and less ice. I paid with my debit card on my phone. I tapped and was done. It didn't take much time for this drink to be made. It was nice chatting up a storm with Jason as we waited. The moment of truth was here. My drink was ready. I took a sip. It was awesome! The foam tasted like lemon meringue. The tea was perfect with the lemon juice. The konjac was chewy. I haven't had konjac since I visited Song Tea eons ago (rest in bubble tea peace). I wish that this drink came in a larger size. I drank it too fast... haha! I had a great experience with my friend's recommendation. I like that there's lot of parking in this plaza. I'd return again for more good bubble tea. Maybe staff will be more cheerful then. (437)

She looked annoyed, pointed at the sign and said "it's 15 cents!" Overall: 1/5 - Disappointing. Cool! I headed over to this TP Tea location in Vaughan. It's in a plaza near Vaughan Mills, with CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice a couple of stores down from this bubble tea joint. Got to love competition! The plaza was busy on a Saturday afternoon. I found a parking spot steps away from this store and backed into it. I walked in. I was the only customer. I saw tiramisu cakes that piqued my interest. I had wanted a fruit tea. There were two men behind the counter. One of them let me know that I could only get a regular drink. All fruit teas were large. Bummer. The regular teas were primarily milk-based. TP Tea doesn't have milk alternatives. I didn't feel like a milky drink. Instead, it was slim pickings with three teas that I could choose from. I got a signature black tea. No sugar and less ice. This regular-sized drink would have been just under $7. I was pleased that I was getting it for free. It took no time for them to make my drink. Their cups aren't transparent, but are sturdy. I thanked both men and headed out with my cold drink. The tea was excellent. It had the perfect strength. The black tea was yummy and made my day. I will return for fruit teas next time. I like large fruit teas a lot more. (251)

A couple of Wednesdays ago, after work, I had an early dinner at this Pho Anh Vu on Highway 7 in Vaughan, between Keele and Jane streets. I have passed by this eatery a number of times since it opened. It was time to check it out. This location used to be Veg Italiano. There used to be a pho place a few doors down. It is now a Turkish eatery. This small plaza does have some turnover. However, the Turkish place and this eatery have been here for at least a couple of years. I hope they remain. I got here at around 3:30 pm. I had no problem finding a parking spot. I backed into a vacant one and walked in. I was immediately greeted by a male staffer. I got to sit wherever I wanted. I chose a booth by the window. I got menus to peruse. There were two other tables with customers. It was nice. Hot tea came to me with two cups. The hot tea was exceptionally piping hot. I used both cups to pour tea into them and let them cool. I was ready to order. It took a long time to get a server to come over. The woman at the counter noticed that I was ready and flagged the male server to take my order. I got these items: - Soda lemonade - Grilled chicken on vermicelli with spring rolls My soda lemonade came first. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. I loved it so much. I would get it again in a heartbeat. It also helped me down my food as I waited for my hot tea to cool down. When my tea was finally at a temperature that wouldn't scorch my tongue, it was fragrant and yummy. I loved the grilled chicken. It was flavourful and grilled to perfection. The vermicelli was generous and yummy. The spring rolls were stuffed and crispy. This dish came with dipping sauce that I ended up pouring on everything. I feel that I needed more of it. I paid at the counter with a debit card. I tapped and was good. This eatery got busy after 4 pm. My guess is that everyone came to watch the Canada-Switzerland FIFA game. It got tense in the place. Eventually, Canada lost this game. I used the washroom before I left. It was beautiful and clean. It's a decent location that serves good food. The tea was too hot. Service started off slow, but was a lot better once my order was place. I'd love to return to try more items off the menu. (280)
