I've been coming to Ban Thai since they opened when I was still in school and living with my parents. I hadn't been back in about five years so I begged my husband to get me my go to meal and he thankfully complied with my request. Their pineapple fried rice, with the choice of tofu for the "meat", is what I have always ordered from them because I'm predictable. I ate every bite because I absolutely love Ban Thai food. If you love Thai food, I'd highly recommend stopping by this fantastic restaurant for dinner (as they are only open 5pm-8:30pm 5 days a week). Jimmy is an excellent owner and I can't wait to come back.

Food isn't bad. Pretty good for the area actually. But it is pricey, and the restaurant has limited hours... I'd come back again.

My partner & I moved to the area and have been seeking out what our go to spots will be & this definitely made the list!! The owner is so nice and the food was seriously delicious as heck

I love animals, so it didn't bother me that we were seated between 2 tables both with large dogs that were almost on us. But, for non dog people, it might be nice to have an area without. The vibes & decor is so cute. Mid century modern with pastel colors. Reminds me of Palm Springs. Our server was so sweet & offered menu suggestions. For a drink, I went with the post limon beer. It was so refreshing. Seriously one of my favorites for summer. Shareable plates is the way to go. We got to try more menu items. We started with the bread service. It came with whipped hot honey butter. So good. Next was the watermelon salad with cucumber, jalapeños, and Cojita cheese. Refreshing & delicious. Last up was the chicken sando & Cajun seasoned French fries with an aioli. The sandwich was crispy & the bun was soft. I loved it. The fries were crispy & perfect. The amount of fries was great, but I could have had more of the aioli or ketchup also. We didn't get dessert, although the 3 on the menu looked amazing. Maybe next time. Can't wait to come back.

We sat down outside, a beautiful patio with cute decor. Our server was immediately off putting. She was an older lady with blonde hair. Super unfriendly and unfortunately ruined our experience. She didn't give us much time to figure out what to order and felt pushy. I like to think people might just have bad days on occasion, but she was miserable. And the worst of all, the bill was on a machine that was taped to her wrist.

I have to say I first got acclimated at the sister restaurant before this one opened, but I've quickly to come to like this one even better. It's definitely more of an actual restaurant vs the cafe style in the grocery store. They serve booze here which also helps its cause in my book... but the meal I had this weekend put it over the top. They had a new vegan broth which is cool because my wife is mostly a vegetarian and loves ramen but the best broths are never vegan... we both got the tan tan and our daughter got the kids ramen - everyone was very happy. The tan tan broth is the perfect amount of spice (which she said was medium) and I added broccoli and brisket to mine it was to die for. We also ordered misos thinking they'd be like the little ones at sushi spots and they were huge, we're eating soup all week!

The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a charming cat statue at the entrance, which instantly sets a fun and welcoming tone. We ordered the korean style Short Ribs and Pad Thai Noodles. Let me just say the short ribs were absolutely delicious. Perfectly tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Honestly, I kept repeating how good they were no notes, just a flawless, traditional short ribs experience. The Pad Thai was okay at first, with a smaller portion than expected. We asked for a remake, and the second portion was much better. It was still on the lighter side, but the flavors were spot on authentic and satisfying. A squeeze of lemon elevated the dish beautifully! The space was clean and nicely maintained. There were a few flies, but the staff explained it was due to a recent wedding event that had kept the doors open. And honestly, I could see why someone would choose this venue for an intimate wedding the surroundings are beautiful, with lovely outdoor seats that add to the experience. It's casual, but the atmosphere has something special while surrounded by nature. I'd say this place is perfect for a daytime visit, especially to enjoy the sunshine and soak in the peaceful ambiance of the Texas Corners area. The staff were excellent, going above and beyond to explain the menu and give us thoughtful recommendations. There's even a cute corner fridge where you can grab drinks, ice cream and desserts , a nod to the restaurant's origin as part of an Asian grocery store. Now, it's blossomed into its own standalone restaurant branch, and it really shows in the care they put into everything. I'll definitely be coming back. I loved the vibes, the natural light, and of course the amazing food. Next time, I'm definitely trying their bubble tea. It looked so good, and almost every table around us had one!

Big space but we were in the front. Seems like it was an old Mexican Restaurant. We got seated right away. They had to clean off the table. We had to ask them to wipe it down because they did not. I didn't want food to come on a dirty table. Server was nice and answered questions on the menu. We ordered. I got the creamy soup appetizer and the nom nom cold noodles with goza. Both were great and delicious. The soup was hot and had lots of goza and veggies. The noodle bowl also had lots of fresh veggies and crispy. The dressing is a vinegary mix that cuts thru the fresh veggies. It pairs perfectly. The portion is a good size. I was stuffed and could not finish. I really wanted to though. If you are vegan this is a good spot for you. Lots of choices. Prices were pretty good and you got a good amount of food. The only issue was the not clean table we had to ask to get cleaned. And they did that. Oh and the bathroom was kinda messy too. So take that as you wish. But not a bad find.

They also don't serve as big of portions anymore and took away the large size bowls. I'm not sure what happened between the restaurant moving locations, but I hope it can get back on track. No one was there but the owner picked up the phone and was able to arrange a great table for us right in the bar area! Walking in I was immersed in the moody and dark space, brightened by pops of red and other Asian accents. The bar is beautiful and the bartender was hard at work cranking out cocktails. Lindsay was our server, and she was an absolute breath of fresh air, clearly passionate about her role in providing the guest experience, and frankly, she made all the difference in our experience. It all started when she saw our boys sitting at the low two top and offered them a private dining experience right next to us! They downed so much sushi, I nearly had to take out a second mortgage, but I'd happily pay it over and over to see the looks on their faces at 5 and 8 again! To say that a core memory was made that night is a massive understatement, as we have not stopped hearing about this since we returned and my son even made my mother walk him back to the restaurant the next day just to see if he could say hi! She took incredible care of the grown ups too. Helped with menu selections, addressed all requests swiftly and handled any issues with actual regard for the feedback being provided, which is becoming more and more rare in today's industry. On the food, we ordered most the apps including wings, green beans, cucumbers, shrimp, and spring rolls, and then we added the crab noodles, yellow curry and a few sushi rolls. The cucumbers and green beans stole the show, with the shrimp and crab noodles not too far behind. The sushi was decent, but I found the rice a bit gummy and didn't really get a sense of each element within them. The wings and curry were a bit bland for my liking but the wings benefitted by the additional sauce with them. The curry needed a bit more heat, fish sauce, and maybe a hit of vinegar. As someone who LOVES Asian food, this satisfied the itch after mainly eating American food for so many days, but I'd realistically rate it a 3.5 stars, especially considering the price and value. I'd happily return on my next visit to Saugatuck and suggest it to friends too. Keep crushing the service game!
