I came here on a Thursday afternoon mid July. What a perfect day for the awesome patio. The umbrellas provided a lot of shade. They do allow dogs. I love animals, so it didn't bother me that we were seated between 2 tables both with large dogs that were almost on us. But, for non dog people, it might be nice to have an area without. The vibes & decor is so cute. Mid century modern with pastel colors. Reminds me of Palm Springs. Our server was so sweet & offered menu suggestions. For a drink, I went with the post limon beer. It was so refreshing. Seriously one of my favorites for summer. Shareable plates is the way to go. We got to try more menu items. We started with the bread service. It came with whipped hot honey butter. So good. Next was the watermelon salad with cucumber, jalapeños, and Cojita cheese. Refreshing & delicious. Last up was the chicken sando & Cajun seasoned French fries with an aioli. The sandwich was crispy & the bun was soft. I loved it. The fries were crispy & perfect. The amount of fries was great, but I could have had more of the aioli or ketchup also. We didn't get dessert, although the 3 on the menu looked amazing. Maybe next time. PostBoy has a chic vibe with a casual coastal feel. I loved the atmosphere with the beautiful booths, open dining room with good natural lighting and long bar. The prices are a tad high, but this is definitely a fun spot to meet friends or family in town for a visit! I was surprised to learn from 7a-1p, through Labor Day the outdoor seating belonged to Infusco, the food truck located on the property which serves coffee, cold brews and assorted breakfast items, which is a great option if you're staying in downtown New Buffalo and want a casual outdoor quick bite and coffee! There is a host stand located outside and indoors which makes checking in for reservations convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful and our server made sure to explain their tapas-style dining. The menu had a great variety of apps and entrées and they had tasty and fun cocktail options. We enjoyed most of our food, we all loved the grilled chicken Caesar salad and bang bang shrimp; however, felt the scallops were just ok. Overall, the food was tasty and served hot. Mortal Bloom Hazy IPA 6.2% Draft......$8 This beer was good and cold but, the server mistakenly brought this beer to another table so I had to remind her that I had a beer coming to me. Bread Service.......$7 Bread was good and butter was delicious but, I forgot about the bread that came with the Chicken Sando so I will not make this mistake again (too much bread for me). WATERMELON SALAD cotija, nigella, cucumber, sherry vin, jalapeno....$18 Salad was refreshing and plenty for two. CHICKEN SANDO cacio e pepe mayo, frisée, calabrian chili.......$20 Sandwich was tasty with quality ingredients but, I wish there was one piece of chicken instead of 3 strips. BATTERED FRIES......$9. Add sauce $2 Fries were good and a good amount, enough to share. Enjoyed our outdoor dining experience but, we were sat between two people who coincidentally both had golden retrievers. A Random side quest sent us to Post Boy. We went on vacation to Chicago and decided to roam a little. Landed on Post Boy. Very cute restaurant. We sat outside as the weather was nice. We had an excellent server. He was very attentive and made sure we understood the concept of the restaurant. (Tapas) We ordered Thai Chili Wings (Really good) they were sauced but still perfectly crispy. Not spicy at all. Had a different flavor profile but in a good way. Fries( not pictured) But they were good. Skewers were great and had a mango chutney. Dessert: tangerine/coconut (I think) very very good. Wished there were more 0 proof options on the menu. As one of the items on the menu for my three day birthday weekend... we needed to stop at Post Boy. I didn't know much about it. I'm glad we came! The patio was perfect! The Halibut Al Pastor and Som Tum was our favorite. I've never experienced anything like it:) The Roti tasted hot, fresh, and perfect for dipping and scooping up the tasty goodies. Such a great find on our drive to Saugatuck from Chicago. It's very spacious inside and they also have outdoor seating. The food was delicious, fresh and flavorful. We had 2 vegetarians with us and they were able to accommodate them. The scallop skewers were delicious, the tuna tostada was flavorful and the al pastor halibut was great. We also enjoyed the battered fries, the Cajun spice was a nice touch. Our server was friendly and helpful. They provided a high chair and were patient with our toddler which is always appreciated. There was no changing table in the bathroom I used, unsure if they have one at in the other room but something to be mindful of if you're visiting with your baby/toddler. read more

My family and I had a great lunch here 4th of July weekend. We waited 20 min for a table for 3... we should've made reservations. We had the som tom, market vegetable (zucchini) skewer, and chicken thighs. Everything was excellent! The dishes were comforting and familiar, yet still interesting and complex. Fun combinations of flavors and textures. We were really pleased with the meal. Service was great and the food came out quickly. The interior design was fun and nice- beach modern. Really enjoyed this spot. I had come here a couple times before to enjoy a drink and always loved the vibe. I finally had lunch this past Sunday and everything was more flavorful than the next. We came in from Chicago for my husband's 50th birthday and this place was highly recommended by a friend. It was a close walk from our hotel, so that was a huge PLUS! We didn't have reservations (the place was PACKED!), so we sat at the bar. I'm so glad we did because we had the pleasure of having Sarah bartend for us. Cute trendy spot opened by 2 Chicago-area restauranteurs! The menu is just the right size, you feel like you have options without feeling overwhelmed by the amount of items on the menu. They have a full bar so even though the Bloody Mary wasn't on the menu, we had one and it was delish. There were 2 of us so we ordered the items to share, details on items below: -Trout tostada: this was our favorite item we tried. It comes with one tostada but the flavors and fresh herbs were impressive - it had the right amount of spice where you felt it but didn't leave your mouth burning. So fresh and will be thinking about it for awhile -Caesar: relatively standard Caesar with cheese it crumbs, the lettuce was fresh and crispy. We really enjoyed this! -Chicken thighs: this was a BBQ chicken with Indian flavor twist and comes with a couple paratha and a yogurt sauce. Really enjoyed this! We came in right when they opened at noon on a Sunday so service was good and attentive. Overall, really pleased with the food. What a cute spot in downtown New Buffalo! We went to celebrate a birthday and enjoyed the robust selection of tapas to try a lot of different menu items. There are some large plates if your party prefers to not share as well. One of my favorite things on their menu was a pretty decent selection of non-alcoholic drinks. They had NA beers, mocktails, and no spirit spirits. My husband ordered a phony Negroni and it was absolutely incredible. In terms of food, we loved everything we ordered. There was a complaint by an older couple at the bar about service but funny enough I had no trouble getting service simply by speaking up. Really lovely experience and everything was delicious but the Halibut Al Pastor is one of the best dishes I've had in a long time. Decided to stop in for a bite and it was new for us both. Cute little diner scene. Reminded me of a beachy Peach Pit. We were seated right away. We could have sat outside but it's a 90°+ day. Amanda was our server and she was just a lovely young lady. I decided on water and my bf got the Seedz Mexican beer. I took a sip it was quite tasty. We ordered the Italian beef corn dog and scallop skewer. Definitely good choices! The corn dog was spicy and quite delicious. The flavors were just really good. My husband and I were on the west side of Michigan for the weekend and enjoyed exploring New Buffalo. We were happy to find out that Postboy has a very dog friendly patio. There were multiple pups including our big boy. Our waiter Cray was great! Before we knew he was our server, he offered us some water for our pup. The humans got water too. There was a little bit of a wait. When we were seated, Cray was our waiter! The restaurant gives me Palm Springs vibes with the pastels. Such a great vibe. We ordered cocktails and appetizers. We started off with lucid moments and glasshouse rules. Lucid moments was strong but good, especially if you like tequila. The glasshouse rules is the perfect summer drink. For appetizers, we got the trout tostada and the smoked trout dip. The trout tostada was so fresh and soooo good. If you like sashimi, hands down you need to order this. I really wanted to like this restaurant. The menu looked fun and creative, with influences from the middle east and Asia. My first issue came with the reservation. We were driving back home and would enter new buffalo in about an hour, according to Maps. Hit a snag with road construction, looked like we would arrive about twenty minutes after my reservation time, called the restaurant to see if i could update my reservation and was told if i arrived more than fifteen minutes past my time, they would " try to accommodate " me. Well imagine my surprise when we arrived ten minutes past and there were at least six empty tables inside and more outside? Why not change my reservation then? We were greeted promptly by our friendly snd animated server who helped us with a description of the concept and the menu items, and some very strange looking water glasses. We both ordered the chicken skewer with mango chutney. Chicken skewer was fine but just a tiny dish of chutney. I did ask for and received more. (Still more empty tables, btw). The breaded fries came in a large shareable bowl for $10. Left somewhat disappointed by the stress of the reservation issue and somewhat overpriced menu items. What a cute place!! We did a day trip from Chicago and was planning on dining at Stray Dog (since we had our puppers with us and it seemed fitting) but couldn't pass up how cute PostBoy was! It was pretty hot out under the sun so we were super grateful for umbrellas and covered patio seating. They were super accommodating with our dog and even got him his own glass of ice cubes! We shared the melon stracciatella for our appetizer and it left me speechless. The honeydew was incredibly sweet and refreshing especially on a hot day. I wasn't too sure how everything would play together.. prosciutto and burrata with sweet fruit but it worked and it worked well. For our mains, we had the chicken sando and smash burger. We were in awe of how big both were. I'm always a burger girly but to my surprise, I favored the the chicken sando over the smash patty. It had great flavor and the breading wasn't too thick and had the perfect crisp. The burger was tasty as well but there wasn't anything that stood out besides the boom boom sauce (spicy thousand island). PostBoy is a solid option in New Buffalo. A note of caution- my daughter ordered the cheeseburger and it came out with a sesame seed bun. Delicious add for an adult, but my 7 year old likes plain buns. So if you have a picky kid, you may want to choose another option. Carrot dish was certainly a hit for my vegetarian wife. The food comes out in any order and I wanted to try the skewer after we began eating. I put in the order later and it took a while to receive. Pro tip: order all your food at the same time. The management team reached out to us to ensure our experience was good after the issue with the skewer. I appreciate the attention to customer service. Ben, the owner, was at the table next to us with his wife & another couple - he walked over and gave us several recommendations without even mentioning that he owned the place - just a cool, classy, good guy, who treated our waiter and all of the staff tremendously well. Lastly, and of course importantly the food was the best we have had in years. It was an outstanding date night, we'll be back again and again, and with our whole family next time. I walked in ask for outdoor table which I counted about 10 open tables, only to be told they were all reserved. Being Latino American with so many other options I don't need to be in place that makes you feel excluded / borderline RRRRRRRRTT (yeah, you figure those R out). We went to Caseys down the street and felt welcomed and had great food. The 1st impression at POSTBOY was not very welcoming and really felt like I was bothering them when all I wanted to do is try something new with the family. I'm not sure I get the fusion here. I'm definitely no expert I just know what I like. These flavors didn't do it for me. The tostada was not at all what I'd expected not in a good way either. The mushroom skewer was tiny and also not much flavor. The chicken thighs were an exuberant $28, I mean it's chicken with naan. Not worth it. The fries are ok, a bit too much seasoning. The best part was the garlic aioli that came with the fries. The smoked trout dip would be good with something other than potato chips. Also there was no smoky flavor to it. The ambience is beautiful but the flavors didn't hit for me. Even the kids meal was expensive, $12 for a small bowl of buttered noodles. Over $100 for 2 adults and 1 child with no drinks for lunch.
