Folks have been friendly whenever I've come in, and they really stood out when I brought my young niece in. She is in grade school, and we had a chat in advance about how it was an "eyes, not hands" store -- I kept her very close because I didn't want to be the person who lets a kid get rowdy around fragile items! My niece made great behavioral choices, and she picked out a pendant. The person behind the counter was so lovely with her and invited her to look at the color options for the necklace cord, which thrilled her! She wore her necklace proudly the rest of the day, and I think her first experience in a store like this being such a positive one will put her on the path of loving shiny rocks the way I do.

My two year old girl was about to go behind the register and the lady said something akin to "Want to put her for work? We can tie her upside down by her little toes?" She didn't say it in a rude tone, but what the.... I get it. Your into crystals and magic. You may even believe yourself to be a witch, but my two year daughter is not a sacrificial lamb or something to hanged by her toes. I just awkwardly smiled and walked out the store.

I will mention- they just redesigned the shorts overalls and the material is slightly different and they messed with the pockets- I hope they listen to their customer base and give back the original pockets and material, but they are still super cute! Overalls tend to run big, but the new design of short overalls are true to size.** Important info I went to a pottery convention earlier this year and Duluth Trading Co overalls were everywhere! I had forgotten about it until they popped up as an ad on my IG and I hadn't even thought about new overalls in months! But they had a great Mother's Day sale going and as a new customer- I got extra off. I ordered online and John mentioned he thought there was one up at River City Marketplace. Today (Mother's Day) we were headed to the National Cemetery to visit mom and stopped into the store and I snagged a couple pairs of overall shorts. I tried them on and found out that I am a smaller size than what I ordered online! Great problem to have- but when they come in the mail I can exchange them at the store. I got the same deal as online because I signed up for their text message program and got an additional 20% off on top of the sale prices- woohoo. And John and I both enjoyed the store as a whole. We were offered assistance numerous time by various staff and one associate made sure I knew about the text savings. Our location here in Jacksonville is the only location in Florida too! Based out of the midwest, they have a location map located at the back of the store. John even read a bit of their company history and compared it to the tv show Outdoor Man with Tim Allen. Good, solid, American company. I will be back and I will be shopping more ;) **2023 Update- I have shopped even more and even got John to buy a few things. I am absolutely in love with a skirt I bought here and floored that the size that fit was a 10! For those who know me, I'm down a few sizes- lol. They also carry Vineyard Vines. I was happy to see that they have quite a few Tracy Negosian dresses as well as a variety of other preppy/resort brands. They have a well edited accessory section, with selections from Angela Moore, A Tierney, Eliza B. and more. I had no idea that they carried all these brands, most of which I thought were only available via internet or in boutiques in larger cities. Well done, Lemon Twist. I wouldn't come here expecting any bargains, but for a preppy splurge in NE Florida, The Lemon Twist fits the bill!
