I am very happy to see yet another restaurant which brings a different variety of the rich Indian cuisine! The food was very tasty. We ordered Kachori Aalo Sabzi, Palak Patta Chaat, Mirchi Paneer Tikka and Smoky Soy Chaap! For main course we ordered Gorakhpuri Kofta and Naan all of which was absolutely delicious! This is, by far, the best Indian food I have had in Seattle. The menu brought back memories of food that was so part of growing up and the taste completely backed it up. The service was excellent and swift the staff were attentive. The star attraction is the food and we definitely ate way more than we intended to. The mirchi paneer tikka was brilliant, the litti chokki was sublime, the mango lassi was just fabulous, the Gorakhpuri kofta was wow. Dum Kaju paneer was unique and the chaat - wow! Based on good recommendation from some friends, we decided to try this weekend. The food and service were really great. We tried the following: Aaloo tikki chaat Dahi kabab Kathal biryani Kofta Sattu paratha Jalebi with rabdi Banarsi paan Everything was yummy. We ordered Kofta for kids but it was quite spicy but still delicious. So if you are coming with kids, check on the spice level of the dish. I suggest the restaurant owners to annotate the spice level of the dishes in the menu so it becomes easier to pick for kids. Barring this issue all dishes were very unique and I would definitely come here again to try other dishes. read more

Over priced and quantity is minimal. We order a bunch of things coz I was personally very excited to try this restaurant. Quantity is so less that i have never seen before in any restaurant. We order Gorakhpuri Kofta and it was so less that it looked like someone else's left over food and the price is $22. I have never seen any restaurant serving such tiny quantity at such high price. The guys came over to ask about our experience and I told him about the quantity and he said it's 16oz. I guess in those 16oz, 14oz was just the liquid and 2oz was 3 koftas for $22. That's just ridiculous. The guy told us that all spices are made in house. We appreciate that fact but who cares when you end up spending $150 and still feel not full. I think it's a pure business model to keep quantity less and food light so people can order more. Palak patta chaat. It's probably for one person only. I want to see comments where people go to Indian restaurant and have one appetizer per person. I have been here twice and had bad experiences both times. If you're a vegetarian with no food restrictions this would be a good option for you, but even at that the service is not great and you have to repeatedly ask for your food and drinks to get them because they are forgotten or canceled for no reason. Their menu is very inaccurate, and the servers don't know what the terms "vegan" "gluten free" or "jain" mean. For example, their menu clearly lists potato dishes as Jain friendly. When asked about this the server didn't understand why potatoes were an issue in a Jain dish. For vegan options we were offered paneer which clearly isn't vegan. For gluten free we were offered and the menu listed a wheat based dish. We have mentioned both times that their menu is incorrect and even after several months when we tried again the menu is still incorrect. Tonight they told me a dish was gluten free and I very quickly became sick from it and was not able to finish my night with friends because I was so sick. I definitely do not recommend this place for people with any food restrictions. This is a major health hazard because of the menu errors and servers who don't know their menus and foods well enough. read more

The menu is interesting and has unique dishes that you will not find at typical indian restaurants in the seattle area. Very regional and authentic preparation. I want start my review by saying that my family is from Banaras and my 'hard to please food critic' mom with Banarsi roots was visiting from India and was with me at this restaurant. We went here for a late lunch on a Tuesday after spending our morning in the Tulip fields. We ordered- LAKSHMAN MIRCHI (green chilli stuffed with paneer), JI KA LITTI CHOKHA, NARSI QUENTI DAL with RICE, and ended with GODOWLIA KA BANARSI PAN and KULHAD WALI CHAI. We loved everything we ordered. My family traditionally makes LITTI CHOKHA at home in India for many special occasions. The taste of the Litti chokha at the restaurant took me back to the memory of eating this in Uttar Pradesh. My mom approved it as well. The dal was very tasty too! Kulhad is an earthen cup and is traditionally used for serving chai in banaras. It is a nostalgia for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The paan we ordered was sweet (like meetha paan in India) but was pretty good too. I wanted Jalebi Rabri for dessert but unfortunately they still in the process of perfecting that for serving at the restaurant. I'm quite surprised to read the other reviews about portion size being small. People have different expectations but I generally don't like restaurants that have a large portion but are lacking in flavor. The portions here were good sized & the food was excellent.
