Ruben sandwich and tater tots and fries sauce. Yum Yum!

Delicious food and very friendly staff. We have met three different people there and have been there twice. Beautiful view, fantastic food, and super nice people. You can't go wrong.

"A good walk spoiled." That phrase is attributed to Mark Twain to describe golf. I am in the late author's camp. Although I grew up among a family of golfers and I "speak golf-ese", the very phrase "Golf course restaurant" gives me indigestion to think about mealtime conversations of birdies and chip shots and putts and the lie and.... The word "Golf" makes me respond as did Maynard G. Krebs at the word "Work". That said, different strokes (no pun intended...well, OK maybe) for different folks and this review is not for this public course, but for the restaurant. It is worth a shot to swing by for a meal and libation if you enter with the right expectations for what it is and isn't. FOOD: & LIBATIONS: It is a public golf course coffee shop. It is not high falutin' food. If you take a gander at the menu, it seems to have been crafted in and unchanged since 1986. (How about that "Oriental" Salad as example? What are they thinking on a couple of fronts.) Sandwiches are listed under "sand wedges", burgers under "best ball burgers", salads under "on the green" and the soup of the day is "kerplunk". (If you don't know "golf-ese", what sound does a ball make when it hits the water?) . A "fore" call that If you don't eat chicken or beef or pork your options will be pretty limited. Good to know going in. They have a full bar but this is more of the T&T (Tanquerey and Tonic) variety than expecting the bartender will make a caipirinha. Wine and beer are also available in a few choices. All things considered, it worked out swell for my husband and me for a simple sandwich or salad plus a gin and tonic a time or two when we were moving into a rental house. At the end of ten hour long work days without eating, we were looking bedraggled and exhausted and this was a good little local option. SERVICE: Service was friendly and we noticed that some of the folks who came in were obviously grandparents with little grandchildren in tow ("Grandpa do they make Shirley Temples here?"). It was sweet. VALUE: Prices are on par reasonable for the coffee shop level of food. Gin and tonics are a bargain price. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING: Ample in the private lot. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Accessible parking in lot. Level in and throughout Nearly all seating is standard height. 3) WINE DOWN WEDNESDAYS: On some or maybe all Wednesdays in the summer starting at (roughly) 6:00 pm there is an informal "all are welcome" gathering with live music and typically an Idaho vintner pouring samples of their wine. The bar is open and so is the restaurant for additional purchases.

I don't smoke, & sensitive to all types of smoke...so I'd thought I'd have issues here... but their state of the art air purification system really works! I came as I appreciate quality & creativity when a full bar is present, being the Foodie that I am! Every staff member (as well as patrons) I met were all genuinely friendly, & full of ideas of drinks to try. (& fun info on cigars avail too of course... sounds like they have a great selection on that front too of course!)... As I'm a very light drinker, I qonly got to enjoy one delish drink this time , but I got to try another drink the 1st time I came, & I had a sip of my friend's drink ... all 3 drinks were fantastic... in quality spirits, in presentation, in atmosphere the drinks were enjoyed in... I highly recommend this as another downtown Eagle destination, even if u don't smoke, or u smoke but don't want to drink...as the cozy yet ample enviro lends itself to both intimate as well as group gatherings. I appreciate that I can bring my own food in, & that there is both indoor as well as outdoor seating. I rate it as very accessible, as multi seat types, multi entrances, spacious interior & exterior. Honestly it was nice to not feel rushed... & it was fairly quiet yet lively while I was there both times... so u can actually hear who u are talking to, unlike many restaurants (& coffee shops). Shout out to the great new GM & both bartenders who were very patient with this self proclaimed high interest low liquor knowledge gal

I've been coming to Crave for a while now, this was probably my tenth plus visit and the food has consistently been really good. That's what keeps us coming back. Unfortunately, this last visit missed the mark. I made a reservation and was seated in the back room next to two private parties, rather than a booth or the main dining area. The room was loud and the spot was uncomfortable. And really, who wants to have dinner with their family wedged into a party room alongside two other parties? What really stung was watching a party who came in after us get seated in the party room and then moved to a different section, but when we asked to move, we were told it'd be a 20-30 minute wait. It's also a little odd to be awkwardly squeezed into a party room in the first place. That space should be for actual parties, not for packing in reservation guests to hit max capacity. Sometimes a short wait for the right table is worth far more than being seated immediately in an uncomfortable spot, I'd have happily waited. Here's the thing: between the data they're already collecting through Resy and a little plain common sense, this should be an easy fix. They can see who's a repeat guest, what reservations are booked, and how the floor is filling up. Use it, or at minimum, just pay attention to the room and seat people thoughtfully. It's not bad enough for one or two stars; the food and overall experience have earned more goodwill than that, and servers are always top notch. But better situational awareness and common send from their host staff would go a long way. A reservation should mean something, and a marketing tip, regulars notice this stuff. A big turn off after a stressful week, I probably won't be back. If looking for a flawless experience after a stressful week, I would find another place with a more competent host staff.

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.
