I driven past this place so many times and had never tried it. They apparently still don't have their full kitchen open yet but if the food options increase over what they offer now, it'll be excellent. Stopped by on a Friday afternoon and it was one of the few dog friendly places open and available. Sat at a table outside along State Street. Service was quick since we were the only diners. Huge beer and drink selections. The two locals beer choices were great. The food was delicious and full of flavor. I hope they serve french fries when their full kitchen opens because I'm sure they will be good (fingers crossed).

Change of ownership this year. Big open space, long bar, and many beer taps. Ambiance and echo of an empty warehouse. The plan to serve food from a kitchen has failed and it looks like it will be one year late. Who spends thousands of dollars cleaning up a wreck of a bar and then does not have a workable plan for food after starting to build a kitchen? Some business giant, this one is. Nothing about this place says welcome or "return". Bar staff are expert in ignoring the customers directly in front of them. Never again. Nothing worthwhile here. Plenty of better places within 2 blocks.

It tasted like dirty dishwater, just bad. Life is to short to drink bad beer. Brought the full glass back and ordered another IPA, i didn't ask for a another beer for free and was not offered a replacement. So I paid for a pint of Lost Trails IPA, it was worse, on top of dirty dishwater water was a bad sour taste as well. I finished my wife's beer with her. Which was not awful. Went back in with my full pint and suggested that there was something wrong with either their equipment or their water as the dirty dishwater taste is so prevalent. He just grabbed the glass and said - everyone has a different pallet..... Yes me freind everyone does have a different pallet, having owned a brewery in the past and being a very experienced taster, those beers were just bad.

And with the view by the patio, how can it not be the most perfect setting to enjoy my birthday dinner. We just stuck with water since it was on the warmer side today. We just went straight in for dinner. As much as the appetizers sounded lovely, I was ready for the main event. So for dinner tonight I ordered the charboiled salmon with seasonal veggies in place of the salad. My salmon was plated beautifully with nice char marks on it. The veggies were a variety of squash and were sautéed nicely. And you can tell visually that they were seasoned nicely with spices and herbs. I dug right into my salmon. My first couple bites were delicious. I did spread some of the sun dried tomato butter on my salmon. The butter was fantastic! It added a nice flavor element to the salmon. After I ate about a a fourth of my salmon, I noticed that it was not cooked all the way through in the middle. With my new kidney, I can't have rare or undercooked fish. My immune system can't handle a parasite if the fish were to potentially contain any. I shouldn't have assumed that it was going to be cooked all the way since our server didn't ask how well I wanted it cooked. I did have to send it back and have another one remade. While my new fish was being prepared, my server gave me a small salad plate to transfer my veggies to. I got to work on them so I wasn't staring at my family eat. The veggies were cooked perfectly. They weren't overly soft or still raw. It had a nice bite to them while still being tender. Unfortunately, they were overly seasoned and was on the saltier side. I was hungry so I polished them off. But I did have to drink a good amount of water to help with the saltiness. Thank goodness the portion was on the daintier side. As hungry as I was, it would have been bad if it was a bigger portion. All that salt would not be good on my new kidney. My second round of salmon came out. Was it as pretty as my first plate, no but it will do. I'm sure they set the flame on high, let it sit on the grill for a while and then flipped it to cook the other side. I have cooked salmon well done plenty of times and have it come out tender. When you cook for a living, having cooking times for your dishes should be down to a science in your kitchen. Unfortunately, the salmon was super dry and flavorless. As hungry as I was, I ate it. The butter did help with the dryness of the salmon. But I shouldn't have to rely on butter to make the dish edible. For my birthday, I got a free dessert. I chose the gluten free carrot cake. My cousin eats a gluten free diet so I thought this cake would be perfect for all of us. I enjoyed the cake very much! The cake was moist. The spices in the cake were fragrant and very noticeable in each bite. I loved the frosting on the cake. Since the cake wasn't overly sweet, the frosting added a nice sweetness to it. I enjoyed the cake very much! Our server did a mid job. There were times when she would be gone for long periods of time and we had to wait for her. The patio was perfect with its stunning view. Dinner was ok but dessert was fabulous. Overall it was a decent experience. I do look forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor patio with my husband for a date night. I just know now to make sure I vocalize everything to my server so I don't end up with dry salmon again. I do want to come back and have a better experience.

It's a nice sports bar theme, but also welcoming and cozy. Once we sat down, a server came over immediately with menus. It seemed like she was the only server though, which made me feel badly for her...she never stopped moving the entire time we were there with taking orders, serving, refilling drinks, taking payments, etc. We had a party of four - I ordered the "Hail Mary" (2 patties, onion rings, bbq sauce, bacon, American cheese and pickles), hubby had the double steak burger and my friends ordered "The Big Hurt" and "Bullet Work". Bonus points for having multiple fries options (regular, garlic, French fry dippers and sweet potato), but unfortunately for me, they were out of sweet potato. Food came out relatively quickly and everything looked pretty delicious. My burger was bigger than I expected, which I appreciated. The onion ring was the perfect size for the patty and the drizzle of BBQ sauce was enough to flavor the burger without drowning it. The only downside was that the bacon wasn't crispy enough and the cheese was barely melted. The patties had some nice, crispy edges and the bun was soft even though it was toasted. It might have been bumped up a notch with some mayo on the bun, an extra slice of cheese and lettuce, but overall, it was a nice, very filling, burger. The fries were perfectly seasoned, slightly battered and the fry sauce was a great compliment. Everyone finished their meals and raved about how much they liked their burgers. Due to the one server taking care of so many tables, we didn't see her again until it was time for the check. Thankfully the water glasses were enormous and I luckily made it through dinner with just enough to drink. We would definitely visit again to check out all the great options on this menu!

But Idaho does not provide drive through sales of hooch. So you know, unlike the guy in the red pick up truck with Texas plates who we saw today drive through up to the window thinking he could order to go. The store is well lit and well stocked with a very helpful woman working at the counter who asked us, as we checked out our order, if we needed vodka. Maybe because we had a bottle of bourbon, rye, gin and tequila as our purchase. Once every 12 or so months we find the bourbon and gin bottles at our house are empty and our last purchase of them was Thanksgiving 2023. Once every couple of years the same holds true for tequila and rye so in some years, like this one, all need replacing at one time. So it was intuitive for the nice woman to ask if we needed vodka but that is a spirit we use so often that I think I'd have to brush the dust off of the Grey Goose bottle in the liquor cabinet before I poured it. But I have read that vodka is the best selling kind of hooch in this part of Idaho and, boy howdy, it sure seemed so for the selection in this store. My husband said the vodka display looked like the cereal at Albertsons for the over abundance of options. We don't need a liquor store often but when we do we will come back to this location. On the topic of location, this is in the same strip mall complex that houses Winco and Home Depot. Woohoo PS: They have Licor 43 at this store so for we fans of that botanical liquor from Cartegna, Spain, to make Carajillo, the liquor and coffee Mexican after dinner drink, we no longer have to drive to the liquor store in Boise's North End to buy it. A couple of years ago when I bought a bottle, that North End store was the only one to carry it.
