Apparently these guys need to be doing uniforms for small business, not schools. We have had nothing but incredible service from them. The reason for the exchange was because iris defective, they say that the manufacture won't take the product because the tags are not attached to the short .....It is ridiculous that they are not able to exchange a short because we remove the tags even know I had the tags in my hand .. really poor quality my daughter wear pants the first day of school and the pants ripped from her leg I will never buy another product from this place again they don't stand on their product ... for the price is not worth it ..... read more

This place only takes phone or online orders and they almost always ship the wrong size items. They closed their front door and has not been open to the public since last year due to as they say the pandemic. Looks like they have no plans to ever open their door to the public again as they prefer to ship and charge their customers shipping costs anyway. Parents are frustrated and petitioning private schools to switch their accounts to other uniform stores that are actually open for in-person shopping. Whoever decided to keep this store's door closed will regret this decision as they will lose business and customers for good. read more

Just received my order for this coming school year . To begin with it's kind of frustrating that we are no longer able to walk in store and buy the uniforms for school . I did the measurements that they specified on their website and they are way off!! Once I opened my package and seen my order I was really upset . Than reading there exchange policy of having to pay for shipping again! After already paying it the first time is also frustrating ! I get we are in a pandemic and they want to take precautions and one of those precautions is " no in person shopping " is ridiculous especially if they can't even have the right measurements online and having to charge shipping again ! If it wasn't for having this only option for my kids school I would not consider this place at all .!! read more

It's basically a kid's school uniform monopoly. They can charge whatever they want, can be unprofessional, unorganized, slow to process orders, and force you to wait around the store using an archaic system because there is no other alternative. They do not have any competition. The school mandates that uniforms are purchased from them. I still can't believe that orders can't be placed online or by phone. It appears that should be the case since they have a website, but it is not. Also, they don't answer the phone or return phone calls. read more

I took my little one school uniform shopping for the first time and I will admit I was nervous, excited, and wistful all at once. I walked into this old school storefront at the corner of Bancroft and Dutton and was immediately greeted by a group of diverse, young staffers(it seems none of them was over 21.) I admitted it was my first visit so my clerk, Patrique, walked me through the list of our school's uniform offerings and then found my daughter's sizes. We went to the fitting room, made a few size adjustments, and then my daughter played with Legos at a table while I was helped at the cash register. Patrique revisited each item I was purchasing, its price, and the store's return/exchange policies. I go to Bancroft Uniforms as some school uniform items are only able to be purchased there. Whomever is in charge of training the staff there really needs to do something to train their staff on what customer service means! I walk into the store today to find one customer in the store. There are 4 employees behind the counter and one of them is assisting the customer. As I stand behind the customer whom is being helped, I see that the other 3 employees are still just standing there. I make eye contact with 1 of them in hopes of being asked how I can be assisted. Nothing! After about a minute, we again make eye contact and then he finally asks how I can be helped. It's not rocket science! What ever happened to greeting customers when they enter your establishment? I would understand if you were busy or something, but it was clear that they were just standing there. I know most schools have started so your store is not busy at all!!! I asked and got the uniform item that I was there for without any issues. I was then advised by the employee whom is assisting me that there is only one person, whom is helping the customer ahead of me, that she is the only person that could ring my order up. Okay...so I wait. While waiting to be rung up, another customer enters the store. They get their uniform item and they get rung up before me. Hello employee??? Did you forget that I was here first and that I've been patiently waiting??? How hard was it to tell your associate that I had been waiting to be rung up??? Horrible customer service!!! I will only go there to get specific uniform items that I can't get elsewhere. Please train your staff in proper customer service. It can go a long way for their futures and your business. read more

They are mainly for school uniforms with a a rack or so of medical scrubs and coats. They do not list the prices on individual items because their prices are, to quote, "variable...they vary from day to day."  When asked to get a "variable" price for my purchase, they said No. So my price was $0 since I decided not to buy here: like their prices, my purchasing decisions are "variable."  I like businesses that have pricing on their items- imagine going to Safeway and having to ask the price of every item??!! read more

Our private school has had Bancroft come to our school and sell us uniforms for years. I have never had a good experience with them and this year was same. I called in advance to have my order ready when I got there and they told me that it was too late for that (I called 4 days in advance) because the truck was already loaded. When I asked if they could make sure the things I needed were in the truck (they never bring what I need), they told me they could not. The lady on the phone assured me they did not have an inventory of what was in the truck. Incredulous! Sure enough, when I got there and waited in line for over an hour (they never have enough people checking out), they didn't have what I needed and I had to order it. It won't be here before school starts....again. :( read more

They are extremely expensive which is a bit disappointing considering the fact that my kids also have to pay tuition. I think they should go down a tad bit on their prices. Expecially since they don't always have what I need when I need it. read more

This review is for only online interaction, but this was the fastest I have ever received my kid's uniform order. My kid has gone to uniform schools since kinder and she is now entering sixth. The first three years were at plain uniform schools, the last four have been at a logo'd uniform school. We've dealt with numerous places from Walmart, Target, Amazon to several smaller vendors. In fact, Bancroft is the fourth vendor our small charter has been through in as many years. They are BY FAR the best, and I hope the school sticks with them. We ordered on a Friday Morning and had my daughter's uniforms the very next day. Incredibly fast turn around. I'm amazed. The price, while higher than buying a plain polo at Walmart, was reasonable. It was less than our three previous vendors, which is nice. The quality is outstanding. I have a feeling these polos will not only last for my daughter, but they will still be in good condition when she outgrows them and I pass them down to my nephew (they are unisex). Very happy with our experience and I will certainly recommend our school remain with Bancroft. read more
