The five shrimp and two filets were perfect as was the fries I had and the grilled broccoli was excellent and is our favorite side. The service was amazing. Had a great time with friends and the food was excellent. The Salisbury steak was one of the best ever. It was a FB special and priced below most hamburgers today! The grilled veggies were great as well. Service was very good considering we had a large group celebrating a birthday. These guys really did a marvelous job at satisfying everyone's needs. Ate at Bandi Lou's Steakhouse for Lunch today with my granddaughters husband. You need to give them a try. We both had the Chicken Fried Chicken. I had mashed potatoes with brown gravy and grilled veggies. He had a baked potato with white gravy and salad. I've got to say my very first experience long ago was not a good one. But one day I decided to give them another try based on Facebook reviews. Still not up to expectations. Months later I tried again. That time .... SUCCESS. And this time I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke. SUCCESS. The chicken had no greasy taste. The crust was fantastic. To use the words of my grandson, it didn't fall off when you cut it and picked it up with the fork yet wasn't so think all you tasted was crust. My mashed potatoes tasted like real potatoes and the gravy didn't taste like a mix. The veggies were fresh and grilled perfectly. I don't eat bread but he said it was really good. Sorry but didn't get a picture of his plate. SERVICE was fantastic. NOTE: I am in no way associated with Bandi Lou's. In fact. If you look at my August 7, 2022 Facebook post the best I could say was that I finally tried it. This place is absolutely amazing. The owners are very welcoming, along with the waitress/waiter staff. The environment is family oriented. You can BYOB here if you choose. If you dine in ask for a free margarita or slush for the kids. I have tried multiple items. Grilled pork chops, Porterhouse steak, ribeye steaks, Catfish seasoned to perfection, chicken fried chicken melts in your mouth, Salisbury Steak smother it with onions and mushrooms. We we're driving back to California and we we're looking for a good steak. Came across Bandi Lou's and we're so glad we did!! We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. There was plenty!! We shared a rib eye, mash potatoes with country gravy and green beans. We ordered the steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. Just found this restaurant and had Chicken Fried steak and fried mushrooms. It was without a doubt, the best chicken fried steak I have ever had in my life. The waitress was fabulous, she tended to our every need without being overly attentive. She was very pleasant and kind. I can't wait to try their burgers. Portions were very generous. While we are eating our dinner the girl is asking to get our dessert!? 2x not even half done.... Like JUST served. Like can we finish our dinner? First time there--not a good experience. Their website is slick with good-looking food photos, but are not shots of their actual food. Ambiance is more of a hole-in-the-wall cafe, with uncomfortable chairs. Ordered a veggie plate: The grilled broccoli was limp, watery and tasted soured, as if it had sat for a long time and absorbed freezer odors--yuck. The no-name server said she told 'them' and 'they' said it was 'fresh off the truck' LOLOL --no way, unless it was a garbage truck! Their highly self-praised onion rings had a chewy fried batter, (microwaved?) heavy on the garlic with tough onions inside. These were far from the light, crispy ones that I had hoped for! The very basic side salad was okay., nothing special, but edible and pretty fresh--It was the pre-bagged type with a grape tomato quartered on it and sprinkled lightly with some tasteless cheese. (The no-name server had confirmed the price, but then 'they' added an up charge for the veggie plate. The server said 'They' just do that sometimes.) The crackers were stale, too. Overall, the food appeared to be all pre-frozen, possibly freezer burned, and microwaved with lots of seasonings added, NOT freshly made. Stomach-turning and churning experience! The server actually shrugged us off and said, 'so what?' It was the rudeness on top of the bad food and up charge that motivated me to warn others! Stopped in for lunch on the weekend. Despite the minimalist decor and bare-bones feel of the place, everything was solid. Our waiter was polite, prompt, and professional. The menu was limited, but should please all but the pickiest of customers. I had a chicken fried steak sandwich with onion rings. The steak was good, and the bun and veggies were very fresh. The onion rings were well-executed as well. My brother ordered a burger and asked for it medium-rare. It was cooked to perfection. I'd be curious to try a steak here, and would also like to try their breakfast. I will definitely be back! Despite the fact that this place seems to have its act together, I am worried for its future. There was a sign out front saying they are no longer serving breakfast except on the weekends. I see that as a bad omen that business is not exactly booming. It is really in a bad location. You can drive right by it without even noticing it is there. I'm hoping word of mouth will spread quickly enough to help this place, and consider this review my part of that effort. Very overpriced. Steaks were priced as high as the best steakhouses, but not as good. $2 up-charge for loaded potato with a steak. Steaks are super thin. I ordered mine medium rare and got well done. Salad was a basic bag mix with some cherry tomatoes on top and lots of shredded cheddar. Dessert was blackberry cobbler, but at $8 with an additional $2 a La mode, it too was overpriced. This is a nice little place East of Weatherford, Texas that has some of the best home cooking around. The portions are good size and the food comes out nice and hot. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. Was well worth the stop, highly recommended. read more

Ok we drove out to Weatherford our original restaurant we wanted to bring some out of state guest to get them some good steak was closed for Christmas Party so we had to think fast since we were in weatherford and Bandi Lou's popped up on our search we looked at the menu and pictures and thought well let try this place. Positive our waitress was sweet and very attentive although the atmosphere was basic for the prices it was cute. Now we order fried mushrooms(over done) Onion rings (ok) fried pickles for appetizers we were a group of 9. So we ordered porterhouse steaks a sirloins. Omg they were gray on the outside and supposed to be medium rare leaning more on the rare side. None of them were. I'm all about supporting local mom pops businesses But this was embarrassing. I wanted them to have good Texas cooked steaks not to mention we paid $30 each for the porterhouse steaks sides were al a carte so the bill was a couple hundred dollars. Very very disappointed as we drove from Midlothian to eat originally at Beefmasters! To eat and entertain at Bandi Lou's. Not worth the drive! Sorry just honest opinion. Second time in and just as great as the first! The special of two 10oz steaks and two sides each for $35 is a super deal.
