    Entrance to Bandi Lou's Steakhouse

Stoooed in for dinner. Had a small ribeye steak, grilled broccoli and okra. Steak was cooked to order, the grilled broccoli was tender and flavored, a healthy change from a baked potato. This is a small, local place and the staff are all local, hard working folks. Nice to support my local businesses.

Ate at Bandi Lou's Steakhouse for Lunch today with my granddaughters husband. You need to give them a try. We both had the Chicken Fried Chicken. I had mashed potatoes with brown gravy and grilled veggies. He had a baked potato with white gravy and salad. I've got to say my very first experience long ago was not a good one. But one day I decided to give them another try based on Facebook reviews. Still not up to expectations. Months later I tried again. That time .... SUCCESS. And this time I wanted to make sure it wasn't a fluke. SUCCESS. The chicken had no greasy taste. The crust was fantastic. To use the words of my grandson, it didn't fall off when you cut it and picked it up with the fork yet wasn't so think all you tasted was crust. My mashed potatoes tasted like real potatoes and the gravy didn't taste like a mix. The veggies were fresh and grilled perfectly. I don't eat bread but he said it was really good. Sorry but didn't get a picture of his plate. SERVICE was fantastic. NOTE: I am in no way associated with Bandi Lou's. In fact. If you look at my August 7, 2022 Facebook post the best I could say was that I finally tried it. You can look at pictures of the food from then and search Bandi Lou's to see just how much they have improved.

We we're driving back to California and we we're looking for a good steak. Came across Bandi Lou's and we're so glad we did!! We ordered fried pickles as an appetizer. There was plenty!! We shared a rib eye, mash potatoes with country gravy and green beans. We ordered the steak medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. ( The cook actually came out to make sure that he cooked it correctly) The waitress twisted our arm () and convinced us to get the peach cobbler...Omgeee!! It was amazing. I must also add that the staff was so kind and friendly. We had a great conversation and a lot of laughs, too. We wish them so much

This is a picture of us inside with one of there walls nice murals! That was the best thing about this restaurant.

A great wine list with some of our California Central Coast favorites, we chose the Austin Hope Cab. The food was really spectacular, started with the bruschetta special that was brisket with goat cheese and tomato with a touch of cranberry, really unexpected and delicious. We shared the Fire Oak Salad, which was great, the balsamic vinaigrette was fabulous. My wife got the 6 oz. sous vide filet, which was so tender and perfectly done, while I got the 14 oz. ribeye which was also done perfectly, I love a rare steak in California, but have found in Texas, rare is a bit more rare that I would normally do, but the chef did an in-between rare and medium rare when I asked and it couldn't have been better. The seasoning was better than I've had on a steak ever while dining out. We usually don't get steaks dining out because we love how we do them at home, but this was a delight. We topped it off with their crème brûlée, which was a creamy masterpiece. I've been on a quest for the best crème brûlée for 30 years and this one is at the top of my list. We had a really enjoyable time chatting with staff and eventually the owner. Such nice folks. If you're near Weatherford, this is an experience you shouldn't pass up!

Most everyone gives this place 5 stars, and I would say Fire Oak absolutely earned them! No suspense here.... This restaurant is awesome! I unreservedly say 5 stars! My lovely bride and I went on a Saturday night. I made reservations several days in advance and I imagine it to be a wise choice. This place is on the expensive side, but worth every penny! The building is probably mid 1800's but they have partitioned the seating areas so that the sound does not echo off the original tin ceiling. What a beautiful dining experience in this place! My wife and I tried to think of anything that did not match the 5 star rating but we just couldn't. I am so happy we came here! Our waiter was Railen(?)..... Tall, blond hair, and thin. Seems like a good guy. Great waiter for sure. He recommended a couple of items that turned out to be pretty good. We ordered the ahi tuna to share, and it did not disappoint! I ordered a salad which was also excellent. We both ordered the sous vide filet. I hadn't tried this before, and I was pretty happy with it. It was cooked perfectly, so tender, and it tasted very good. I can see me trying this again. The side was macaroni- possibly the best macaroni ever. We ordered crème brûlée for dessert. Very creamy, very pretty. I am very happy we came here, and I highly recommend it!

The chopped steak comes with brown gravy, mushrooms, and onions. I also ordered a Caesar salad and a glass of unsweetened tea. The wait staff were pleasant. My friend requested the onions on the side and asked that the onions be cooked a specific way. The server wrote everything down. Unfortunately, my Caesar salad arrived soggy, and my friend's order was incorrect. It seemed as though the kitchen did not carefully read the ticket. This has now happened twice in the past month(s). My friend mentioned the issue to the wait staff, and we were told it would be corrected. However, the order never came back at all with it properly fixed. We were served by Zeno himself (which we didn't realize at first!), and the service was hands-down some of the best we've ever had. He was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind, the kind of owner who makes you feel like a regular from the moment you walk in. Sitting at the bar turned into the most unexpected and fun night we've had in a long time. I was seated next to the most wonderful woman, Sharon, and between the atmosphere, the conversation, and the energy of the place, the whole evening felt special. We ordered the pasta wheel, and the gentleman who prepared it was incredible, so knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about what he does. Watching it come together was part of the experience, and the pasta itself was outstanding. Truly exceptional. This meal easily rivals and surpasses any Italian restaurant we've been to in Fort Worth or Dallas. To have food and service of this caliber in small-town Weatherford is something special. Skip the chains and the usual Italian spots, Zeno's is the real deal. Weatherford is lucky to have this place. We'll be back, and next time we might still choose the bar.

Our server, Kalee stopped by right away to greet us and take our drink orders. We spent some time catching up with our friends and Kalee gave us all the time we needed. We ordered the Tuscany Road Trip appetizer. It had a nice presentation and was real tasty. We all ordered our entrees and my wife and I had the following: Starters: - Caesar Salad - Texana Soup Entrees: - Beef Ravioli - Spaghetti Ragu with side of meatballs What did we think of the food? The presentations were top notch. The serving sizes were good. The Texana soup was nice but I'd like to see it have a bit more of a savory flavor. Maybe a bit of salted butter? For me personally, I'd add a bit of red pepper flake. The Caesar Salad was really nice. My wife said her Beef Ravioli was nice but she didn't expect it in a brown sauce. She said she likely missed that when reading the menu. The Spaghetti was okay. Nothing special in terms of the sauce flavor. I took half of it home. To take it up a level, I sautéed fresh chopped garlic in some olive oil with a bit of red pepper flake, the added the pasta and meatballs and simmer with the lid on. Turned out really nice. We shared a slice of Lemoncello cake for dessert. It was moist and real tasty. I want to call out the service here. It was excellent. Kalee was helpful with the menu, with our orders, with checking in on us. Overall great service. Though we thought our entrees were decent but could be improved, we liked the new space and service a lot, so we'll try other entrees at Zeno's down the line.
