My New York strip was done as I liked it. We had appetizers of onion spears and stuffed mushrooms. My benchmark for the onions has always been outback but the Longhorn spears were superb and the stuffed mushrooms could be a meal in itself. I stopped in for an early lunch today for a small business meeting and to catch up with a friend. We both ordered the chopped steak with the included side. The chopped steak comes with brown gravy, mushrooms, and onions. I also ordered a Caesar salad and a glass of unsweetened tea. The wait staff were pleasant. My friend requested the onions on the side and asked that the onions be cooked a specific way. The server wrote everything down. Unfortunately, my Caesar salad arrived soggy, and my friend's order was incorrect. It seemed as though the kitchen did not carefully read the ticket. This has now happened twice in the past month(s). My friend mentioned the issue to the wait staff, and we were told it would be corrected. However, the order never came back at all with it properly fixed. We left a gratuity, though we reduced it this time due to the repeated mistakes. This experience upset my friend and business partner, and we did not have time to wait for further explanations. Because this has now happened twice, I lowered my review from five stars to three. Details matter, especially during business lunches or any time. I had never been to Weatherford and I have never been to Longhorn Steakhouse before this past weekend, but now I have been to both. The occasion was my best friend's birthday. My first thought as I walked in was that it was a typical Texas steakhouse. By typical Texas steakhouse, I mean average steaks that come close to how you ordered them, but never quite match the quality of one of the finer steak houses. Thankfully that was not the case here! Our server was fantastic and handled our large party like a champ. Never once did our party of 12 suffer for being such a large party, even though it was a busy Saturday night. I went to Longhorn Steakhouse to celebrate a friends birthday, having never been to this restaurant before. It's tastefully decorated in Texas there, even having art of famous rodeo riders on their walls. The food was delicious! J had the garlic butter chicken and it was truly the most delightful tasting grilled chicks I have ever eaten! My husband took a bite of my chicken and agreed. I'm going back soon just for the chicken! The service was spot on. The hostess was gracious and informative while we had to wait for a party of 10 to be seated, and because it took so long to be seated, they gave us a few appetizers. Nice touch! read more

We went through the Longhorn Steakhouse website and got inline for a Saturday night dinner date. We arrived at 7:00 pm and walked in and were sat very quickly. We were able to sit in a booth and because it was cold in the restaurant we sat on the same side. Our waitress Qeyanna was quick to greet us and get our drink order, lemonade and a coke and brought us bread while we looked at the menu. She was on point throughout our meal. We opted for Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken. Both came with mashed potatoes (excellent even though the portion was small and salads with Ranch (also fresh and tasty). My additional side was sweet potato (I regretted saying yes to cinnamon and hubs got crispy okra (terrible - they leave the tips on and then fry avoid.) Portions were large for the $14.99 price and we both took home leftovers. It would be easy for two people to split the plate. Quick review: Longhorn Steakhouse is a chain of steak places in Texas. Our experience was pretty good. The food was decent for the price. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came out "pretty much" raw. Which is fine, because I like mine on the rarer side of medium rare, but this was actually still almost cold. The wife got the Chicken Fried steak and it was quite good and was a very large portion. More than she could ever imagine eating. I ate here 2 weeks ago for lunch and it was great. Tonight, I ordered the same and it was waaaaay overcooked. I ordered the 8 oz filet w mashed potatoes. Med well...it came out well plus! the potatoes were cold! So maybe it sat too long and kept cooking??? I really don't know...steak wasn't above warm either. Very disappointed this time in my 40.00 dinner for one. 9 oz filet with salad and side. a small cup of tortilla soup. The soup was the best part. Things happen, my steak was overcooked...waaay overcooked, cold food. But no one asked how my meal was. no manager checked, nothing. Usually they will ask if the steak is cooked properly. We went here today for my wife's birthday. There were two of us and it was 2:00 in the afternoon. We had a wait of 5 minutes which is great and we're seated in a mostly empty dining room. Our wait person came and took our drink order. After we placed our good order she brought us a bread roll. It was very warm and melted the butter however it was a bit under baked. Kinda doughy. When our food came I was disappointed with the visual of my chicken fried steak. I've eaten lots of them in my life time but never one that looked like this one did. The gravy was very good as was the mash potatoes and okra spears. My wife's steak was perfect as was the sweet potato. Our wait person had no courtesy or hospitality skills whatsoever. My friend and I went to Longhorn (Weatherford) for a late lunch, 2:30). I asked that we not be seated under the air conditioner vents as it was very cold at the entrance of the restaurant. The man seated us at a booth with a/c vents directly above us, but he said he was going to turn the a/c down. (And, he did, so we weren't freezing, which was a good start.) Our waiter quickly brought our drink order, then promised she'd return. We waited a good 15-20 minutes before we saw her again. :-( When she finally showed up, she was apologetic and said she was covering way too many people. (Our side was basically empty, so perhaps she was waiting the bar area and other side....not sure.) At any rate, they'd definitely be in trouble had the restaurant been busy. Then, it seemed it took a very long time to get our food...another 20 minutes, perhaps longer. The food was good, which gave us a sigh of relief, as sometimes that's not the case. Note: Weatherford has such poor restaurant choices, so we sometimes, reluctantly, go to Longhorn. Yes, past bad experiences have left us waiting months before we dare try again. Sad really, as the restaurant is nice; perhaps the nicest in Weatherford. We'd just started eating when a middle-age man was walked to the booth in front of us. The host then realized the table wasn't clean. Granted, there were many other empty booths. Instead of seating him elsewhere, she told him to wait. This left the man standing at the edge of our booth as we dined. :-( I mean, no fault to him, but his backside was almost against our table. And, unfortunately, this wasn't a "quick" clean. We felt bad for the man, as he moved about, shuffling from one foot the other, for way too long! Finally, he was seated. I noticed that he got the same overworked girl that we'd gotten. Evidently, he too was left waiting for an extended time, as after about 20 minutes he jumped up from the booth and stormed past us, and walked out. (I can't blame him at all.) Within about 2 minutes, the waiter comes from the back carrying food that she set on his table. She then realized he'd left and she walked to the front to discuss the situation. Note: when we first came in the restaurant, this same waiter was discussing a customer situation with the host. (And, we were left standing there as they discussed the problem.) To sum it up: Longhorn is often understaffed. And some of the staff seriously need clothing/hygiene training. I'm not that picky but it really irks when one goes out to eat and the first person who walks you to your table has his pants halfway down his butt. (Blunt, but true). And sadly, some waiters simply don't fit the expected hygiene presentation factor for customers that are about to eat a meal. :-( It's bad when we discuss prior that we hope we get a "clean," well groomed waiter. :-( Very grateful for the waiters who do take care of their appearance. Lastly, it seems if the food is good, the service is off. If the service is on, then the food is off. Surely Longhorn can step up their game. Please! Whether I'm stopping in for lunch or a full steak dinner, the food is always fantastic. Their steaks are cooked perfectly every time--I've never had to send one back, which speaks volumes about their quality and professionalism. The bread and salads are a great start, and their appetizers and desserts are just as impressive. If I have room for dessert, their strawberry shortcake and decadent chocolate dessert are must-tries. The chocolate one is truly a chocolate lover's dream--rich, indulgent, and perfect with a cup of coffee. Good product, but when the staff charges you for a filet instead of a sirloin, and then says that's what you ordered, that's where I draw the line and won't return. The customers behind us had the manager take their meal off their ticket as it was either wrong or terrible. 2 tables in a row with issues with the same waitress is not a good trend. My wife found a ladybug in her salad. While I understand that things like this can occasionally happen, what bothered us most was how the staff handled it. When we brought it to their attention, the response was indifferent--basically shrugged off as if it wasn't a big deal. So, Longhorn Steakhouse. It will be a long, long time before we darken your door again. I'm not sure what the problem was, but this was the most disorganized restaurant we have been to in quite a while. First, it took forever to get any food. While we waited we froze. The restaurant is an icebox. (Another couple changed seats three times and the man went to the car to get a coat because it was so cold!) When the food was delivered to our table, it was out of order. The appetizers came with the entrees, not before. Next, the food was cold. Not just one person's food, but the food for three of our party of five was cold. Cold steak, cold shrimp skewer, cold soups, cold fried okra, cold mashed potatoes, and a sweet potato that was so cold the butter didn't melt. (Oh, and rice on one plate for no reason at all. Didn't order it, or ask for it. Not even listed as part of the meal on the menu.) Then, we asked for a manager. Twice. When the manager Chris arrived at our table and we explained the (not so hot) mess of a meal, he promised to make it right. When the food came out a second time, it was all mis-plated and they had to take it back to the kitchen...again. By the time the food arrived a second time, my steak, okra and shrimp were COLD AGAIN! This was supposed to be a birthday dinner for my husband. We had family come into town and we wanted to show off a nice restaurant. Instead, we got a cross between the Twilight Zone, Groundhog Day and a Looney Toons cartoon. The management tried to make it up to us, and the server (Charles) was helpful even though we weren't his table. And the topper, you ask? The topper was that even though the manager said he would comp us for the cold soups, they were still on the bill at the end of the meal. Really?! Really?! The food and service were amazing, however I dis forget to snap a pic of my meal but I dis order the Renegade Sirloin with a Loaded Baked potato and it was delicious. Good: Food, Service, Cleanliness Bad: Heavy Salt on Fries We decide to come back to Longhorn Steakhouse this weekend, and it seems like they are slowly getting the kinks out of their system. Our visit went a lot smoother than last week. We were seated at a high top table next to the bar, the high top table is a little less spacious than the regular tables, but it was not too much smaller. Our server was Daniel S, he was a great server and very attentive. He was very friendly and we enjoyed conversing with him when he would come by the table. We ordered our drinks and we also decided to give the brisket queso a try, and it was delicious. I would say that this is a must try if you plan to get an appetizer here. We then proceeded to order the Parmesan crusted chicken with a ceaser salad and mashed potatoes and the half rack of ribs with the Parmesan crusted chicken with a double side of French fries. The Parmesan crusted chicken was just as delicious as it was when we were here last week. The rack of ribs was great as well, the extra cup of barbecue sauce was a great addition in case I wanted more sauce on my ribs. The mashed potatoes were good as well, they are a little on the lumpy side, but I believe that is how they are meant to be made here. The French fries were still on the salty side, but they tasted great. Overall our experience here this week was good and we will definitely be coming back. read more

This Longhorn location does not disappoint. I am giving this location a 5 star rating for a number of reasons, and I was admittedly annoyed that we waited for 15-20 mins prior to being served even though there were clearly booths available, but then I remembered that waiting staff has a rotation that Hosts are trying to follow. PS. Anyone that leaves a review saying the food was great but I'm giving it one star, clearly should be taken with a grain of occasionally over shaken salt. She was so warm and polite, even though one of my LO was spilling stuff like a butt, but she remained super friendly! We started off with three appetizers: brisket queso, Texas tonions, and the Wild West fried shrimp. All of the appetizers were yummy, but I was blown away by the hearty helping of shrimp! There were atleast 50 pieces of freshly battered shrimp that were lightly seasoned and very tinder. It's an art to get a nice crust while not overcooking the shrimp, and their cooks nailed it. How could I forget the loaves of bread, we only ate about 3 delicious and included loaves! Our steaks and the kids chicken tenders came out perfect. My outlaw ribeye was perfect and cooked medium-rare to perfection. The fried okra is clearly not from the frozen section, and the Brussels sprouts will make any vegetable anarchist a fan of veggies after having this side. The chicken tenders are a value as well, where else can you get 4 hand battered tenders and fries for $7.99? I'm sure a 20ct at MCDONALDS is more expensive. Again, this chain is a winner for so many reasons, and residents of Weatherford should be ecstatic to have this dining option. read more

arrived around 5:30 and we were seated right away, our waitress was friendly and accommodating with our drinks and order. My wife had the lemon garlic chicken and thought it was delicious,we had the stuffed mushrooms and they were also very good.i had the half rack of baby backs and this is where the problem started, they arrived to the table cold so after about 10 min a waitress arrived and i told her my ribs were cold at which time she apologized and said she would let the manager know. she took the ribs and maybe 15 min later the same plate of ribs was brought back and they were now just a little warmer. my wife was already done with her dinner. I ate one rib and asked for the check informing our waitress that the ribs were maybe the worst i had ever had. No manager ever came by to check on the meal even after it was sent back, no one came by to apologize for the inconvenience or to say they were sorry. We won't be back and i cannot recommend this place to anyone read more
