    Chicken Bowl
    Divya R.

Great Mexican place on the pricier end. Convenient location from Hilton Garden Inn and Springhill Suites- walking distance of 2 mins. Ordered the chicken bowl - the quality and taste of food was excellent! Service was good with decent ambience. It was pretty full on a working day evening.

This is a Mexican restaurant at an entirely different level, actually all levels. Smiling welcome, immediate sense of great ambiance and decor, absence of poorly executed music in favor of upbeat and well distributed techno. The bar and bartenders extend the vibe and welcome for what will surely be an enjoyable evening out. Our bartender Axel was quick, knowledgeable and attentive throughout the evening. Gone were the poor quality and overweight glasses in favor of quality glassware that adds rather than detracts from the experience of beautifully prepared and presented cocktails. Lots of quality tequilas were available and the absence of the now less then 100 percent agave Don Julio was noted. We shared the agua chilies as an app., a creatively delicious take on a shrimp ceviche salad we really enjoyed. Our entrees were well presented and delicious... see pics. We were later visited by the manager, Julio, who told us about the restaurant's objective to serve fresh and well prepared dishes and the best quality cocktails. We believe they achieved the objectives and will return!

This was my second visit. I wasn't impressed with my first visit but wanted to give it another try. I got my usual Mexican lunch: tacos. According to the menu it was 2 tacos and a side of rice or beans. It was actually 3. That's not necessarily a good thing though. They were very small corn tortillas, served open-faced, and couldn't be easily picked up because the tortillas didn't hold together well. Very messy. So eventually I gave up trying to eat them with my hands and tried the knife and fork approach. That didn't work well due to the crazy thing they used for a plate. (See photo.) A wood board with deeply cut grooves going corner to corner. Is this supposed to be artsy or something? To me it was just ridiculous, and very inconvenient. I will say the style of taco, chicharrones, was interesting. Not the crispy crunchy pork rinds sold in bags as snacks but more like pork belly. Thick and baconey and not mostly fat like it can be sometimes. Accompaniments included pickled onions, pineapple, cilantro, and avocado. Avocado? No, not really. It was something they called "avocado mousse", but I call it "too cheap to use slabs of fresh, ripe avocado. It added nothing. Consider it decoration only. Speaking of cheap: what's up with the "beans OR rice" thing? How about "beans AND rice" like practically every other Mexican restaurant I've ever been do does it? Even though I did have enough to eat it this annoys me perhaps more than it should. I ask you, Bandoleros, is it worth the $0.25 or so you saved to annoy customers like this? Maybe you think it is. I do not. The rice also was a pretty small portion, and not particularly interesting. Nothing like cilantro or shredded cojita on top for added flavor. They don't let you mix taco styles (one chicken, one chicharrones, one carnitas for example). Many places do, though not all. As for the ambience, it's ok but it does have more of a chain feel than a small local place. Some Mexican music playing, not too loud. And the service was friendly and competent. I should stop obsessing about things that annoyed me about Bandaleros but I can't help myself. Here's another: cards on the table advertising specialty drinks for $20. That's a lot of money for a drink, anywhere except perhaps high-end big-city places. I couldn't stop looking at it and getting annoyed, until I finally turned it over so I didn't have to. I guess that was their premium drinks section. On the regular drinks menu they also list several others - margaritas and others - for around $15. Still pricey but not unheard of these days. I didn't get a drink today though. Will I be back? If it was up to me, no. There's another Mexican place nearby I like better. But the wife does like it so I might try again, something different next time, and maybe a margarita or two. But not those $20 premium ones!

We stayed at the hotel across the street from this restaurant so we decided to give it a try for drinks and appetizers. We sat at the bar area and were quickly taken care of. Our server Geraldo was quick and helpful. I ordered the chicharrones and my girlfriend had the chorizo tacos. The chicharrones were fried and crunchy, they tasted really good. The tacos were also good. We enjoyed our appetizers.

This place is conveniently located next to the Springhill Suites. Some co-workers had recommended it, so figured I would give it a try. Several things on the menu looked really good, so I was having a hard time choosing. I asked the server what she recommended and without hesitation she said the salmon. She was right, the salmon was delicious! It wasn't super filling, so that just have me an excuse to try the dessert. Again, she recommended the churros. They were really quite tasty. Place was good enough, I went bad a couple nights later with my co-workers.

The food here is absolutely amazing. Our waiter was really nice. What restaurants decorated really well more of a modern type look. I'm very picky when it comes to tacos but I can guarantee that you won't be disappointed if you visit the spot I definitely will be a regular now.

    Delicious cucumber and rosemary Cocktail

Oh my God! I was not expecting this in Devens in a hotel park but it was so brilliant! We got the pork belly app which was delicious and was served very quickly. The waitstaff was excellent and all the service was prompt. My husband and I shared the pastor fajitas with pineapple. I looved it. And I got this wonderful cocktail with Rosemary and cucumber. The property was super cute. I loved the decor in the dining area and I bet the outdoor area is fun in the summer. The bathroom could use some work. The paper towels were just rolls sitting on the counter that had soaked though and you went from this really nice area to a bathroom that looked like it could be in a middle school. But that's not what's important everything else is just wonderful.

Great atmosphere, service on point & delish sangria. So glad we decided to try here! Everyone's food was great & don't miss the churros!

This place was a real surprise. The inside is warm woods, a lovely mural in the cocktail area and staff is nice enough. Unfortunately I had been in the road and I did not feel like ordering and having it delivered, we are at a Marriott and this place you can walk to about a minute away. When I came in I asked to do take out. Great .. than she looks at me to order.. I'm like.. um I've never been here, I've not looked at the website and I just arrived in town. Could I please have a menu. She obliged but seemed slightly annoyed.. whatever. I got an order of Chicken and Pork Tacos with all the fixings. These had house made blue corn tortillas, chips and etc. The only other place that came close is places we went to in the RGV and in Mexico and a place called Neno's in Rochester, NY & El Milagro in Chicago. If your in the area give it a shot and they have a full bar and easy parking

    House margarita!

Found this place by accident and glad we did. The house margaritas are fantastic. The food was great and staff helpful. We will return and see how the patio area is during the summer.

    Flan - delicious!

There are two parts to this review the first will be the food, it was amazing. The second will be…read morethe service, it was abysmal. 1) The food was mostly delicious. It was late in the evening so we opted to share Queso Fundido and the Texas Fajitas. The Queso Fubdido was meh. Nothing terrible about it but nothing good either. The fajitas were delicious. As a Texan I still find humor when restaurants name something for Texas and then deliver a dish that has nothing to do with Texas but the fajitas were delicious regardless. Thin strips of steak and chicken. A healthy portion of shrimp. So good. I love when a sizzling plate puts a little char on the veggies and this was done to perfection. Absolutely delicious. My only complaint is that they put cilantro on their guacamole. I am one of the 14% who think it tastes like soap. I love avocados, I love guacamole, I can't do it with cilantro. I hate that cilantro has taken off in recent years. Please make guacamole without cilantro. It can be added. 2) The service. Ugh We were seated promptly and had water and menus almost immediately the young waiter was pleasant and took our orders. I asked if I could keep the menu to look over the drink list and he obliged. Everything going well to this point. When he came back with the food, he never did come back to get a drink order, he turned and left after grabbing the menu. I tried to get his attention, not happening. This is where it really goes downhill. Not once during the entire evening was our water refilled. Not once. I made multiple attempts to get his attention, we even made eye contact a couple of times, and no water refill. People sitting around us had bottles of water to refill their glasses with, not us. We had spent a long day hiking and, while not parched, were thirsty. When the food was delivered I asked for water but he had turned around and walked away. He was very attentive to the difficult table next to us. Difficult only because he couldn't figure out how to split the check between five people. He came back and forth to their table no less than six times and still wouldn't bring us more water. As we finished our meal we decided to try a piece of Tres Leches cake and waited and waited and waited for him to come by. He came by, still trying to figure out the bill for the table next to us, but never even looked toward our table. He was literally standing one foot away from me at one point and I called to him and he never turned around. Finally my wife stood and motioned for him. He finally came over so we could ask for the check. I also asked for a water refill. He brought the check but no water refill seriously. We believe in tipping well and did tip this person 18% but our usual is 25%. To sum it all up, delicious food, lousy service.

Mexican music plays in the background but not loud. The restaurant is clean and has a fun Mexican theme. The bathroom is very small but clean, also decorated in a Mexican theme. We were greeted by a friendly hostess who sat us right away. The waiter came over almost immediately and got us our drinks. My daughter got the homemade sangria and said it was very good. Naco chips came out right away with some spicy salsa. I ordered the seafood burrito and my daughter orders the burrito mole. My seafood burrito was absolutely stuffed with seafood and it was delicious. I would definitely get it again. I asked for the tomatillo sauce on the side in case it was going to be spicy, but it had the right amount of heat and was very flavorful. Mixing the rice with the black beans and the tomatillo sauce made a really tasty bite. My daughter enjoyed her mole burrito and cleaned her plate. We didn't get dessert. We were too stuffed! The price for each meal was $17.99, which I found to be an extremely good value for such a quality meal. I took their takeout menu. We're definitely coming back and will order takeout.

Our drinks weren't refilled at all during our visit. And we had to try to flag a few people down for our check. For food, chips and salsa were store bought. Salsa tasted like the jarred salsas you get at the grocery store. I ordered the black bean soup that tasted ok but was lukewarm. I tried to flag someone down to heat it up but gave up because I was hungry. We also ordered the beef fajitas. Beef wasn't tender and had some sinew bites. It was also in some marinade instead of a dry rub seasoning which I prefer. Floors felt greasy and the part of the restaurant we sat in wasn't very air conditioned (it was a 90 degree day). For some reason, the Stars didn't align with us for this place. Wouldn't return.

My standard for Mexican food has never been met in MA, until today. The birria, tacos, bistec a la plancha or any other Mexican food I've had here have been dry, flavorless or burned up until today. My sister got the steak platter and there's enough food in there for 3-4 meals. My tacos were hefty and HEAVY. We'll def be back. The only thing that I didn't love is that you CANNOT buy birria and consomé by themselves in a cup or to go container. We wanted to take meat home to have later, but when we asked, nobody understood what we were asking. Service: we got our food to go, but the service we received while we were there was great. The place was super clean too. There is no customer accessible garbage though. I drank a soda while we waited for food and couldn't throw it out. The woman in front kindly took it for me, so I didn't have to worry about it. Ambiance: pretty standard. Clean spot, ample parking. It's in the plaza next to Classics.
