Do Not take your pets to this Veterinarian. On August 12, 2025, I took my 4 year old female cat to this location because she hadn't pooped in a week and appeared to be losing weight. After multiple expensive blood tests and 2 hours of waiting. I was told to not be selfish and put her to death immediately because her kidneys were failing and she was suffering. She was purring while I petted her and seemed very content. I refused their death sentence and left. My dear cat pooped a lot after getting back home. Played with her toys and is happily enjoying her life 6 months after the very expensive death sentence she received at this veterinary clinic. DO NOT USE THIS CLINIC. read more

Over 15 years dealing with this outfit. It was great in the beginning and its probably still great for the clueless noob. But they refuse to listen to anything you say or ask from them, and insist on constant forcing unnecessary and dangerous procedures at you like sedated tooth cleaning for a 13 year old Dachshund with a heart murmur. Dog never recovered from that one, and we had to put him down 2 days later. That was 2 months ago and they are still insisting I pay for their stupid wellness plan.... for a dead dog. To rub salt in the wound, my two new puppies came home directly from the breeder, and the first night one was stressed out pretty bad a got runny stool from the anxiety. I was behind the 8 ball and needed a few cans of Gastrointestinal Rx dog food. I went in and explained and asked if they could give me a Rx and they refused unless I brought the dog in. Now I kind of balked at that because... well he's 8 weeks old and he's been with a Breeder and my Truck and the new crate for 12 hours... doesn't need to be in Petsmart exposed to those germs. Can you just write the scrip ? I'm happy to pay for a consult, exam fee whatever I just need the scrip.... no no no gotta bring in the dog for a quick in and out exam. Which turned into a leave him here for 2 hours, a high pressure sales job for a wellness plan, a blood and fecal panel, and a PARVO test !! I refused the Parvo test and got 3 15 minute lectures on what Parvo was, how irresponsible I would be to not get the test.... after saying no 3 times, they called my WIFE !!! who had them call ME again and give me the exact same lecture 3 times. I finally just said "if it will shut you up and I can have my dog and the script you can give him a Parvo test." which of course came back negative. After all that they gave me a scrip for the food, no instructions, and no option to ask the actual doctor. The next day they called and emailed me with the wellness plan schpeel again. Bottom line is I'd rather gouge my eyeballs out with a spoon than go to Banfield, they care NOTHING for your pet beyond how much they can leverage out of you by making you feel negligent, and inhumane. Meanwhile they kill more pets in a year than Heartworms probably. Banfield is horrible for anything other than a gerbil or a snake maybe. read more

My Pet was taken for well check here last three times for drop off appointment. He stayed there more than four hours and when I call them to check status they say he didn't cooperate ( because he was anxious) and they didn't do a thing. I wonder why they didn't call me and let me know and kept him there 5 hours. It happened three times and no wonder every time he goes there he feels more and more anxious. When I got there I realized I hadn't been there before. They told me they were "completely booked"! What the hell is that all about! If I could give a -10000 star review I would. I had the worst experience with Banfield today that I have ever had in my life. Bear with me it's long but it's worth the read about this trash ass location. I've been taking my 3 year old Aussie to Banfield (different locations) since the day I got him. This was my first time at this location and I'm beyond pissed about my experience. My dog, Archer had his 3rd seizure in a year last night. I took him in at 9:30 Friday morning for a comprehensive exam, mind you I have sat in on these exams plenty of times because I have been taking him here for years and was often allowed to sit in but because of COVID it was a drop off. These appointments take no more than 10 minutes to do the first initial check, blood work, heart rate etc. then I wait for the main vet to come in, the entire appointment never takes more than 2 hours which is what I was told. It would take a couple hours. Two. Hours. Three is understandable, anymore than that is ridiculous. Anyways, I drop him off at 9:30 and call banfield around 11:50am, I call 9+ times and nobody is answering me whatsoever. I end up calling petsmart and telling them nobody is answering me so the guy told me to call again and he's sorry because Banfield is really busy right now. I call and a girl answers and I ask her for an update on my dog and she says "He hasn't been seen yet. The vet is doing surgery right now"... HOLD UP. SO YOU'RE TELLING ME MY DOG HAS BEEN SITTING THERE ALONE FOR HOURS BECAUSE YALL SCHEDULED HIM WHEN HE COULDN'T BE SEEN?! She continues to say "oh we like to do bloodwork and stuff before to have ready for when the vet comes in" then says "sorry for the miscommuncation" when i point out that they told me a couple hours, which is what they say everytime, aka 2 hours. No that's not a miscommunication that's being irresponsible and accepting to see patients when you clearly can't care for them properly. I kept telling her that I have sat in plenty of times and it takes no more than 5 fucking minutes for that. Therefore, the rest of the time my dog was ALONE. FOR NO REASON. NOT BEING SEEN? Oh it gets worse. She says it'll be until 3-4pm until he's seen. Meaning she planned on having my dog there for 6-7 HOURS ALONE. FOR AN FUCKING EXAM. i can tell she's clearly caught off guard when she's aware that I know how these comprehensive exams go and how long they take. She tells me she's going to ask the vet how much longer the surgery will be and archer will be seen next. She places me on hold and another woman answers. She's like "Hello!" I say "hello..?" And she continues to ask what she can help me with. She has no idea why I'm calling and who I'm calling for. The first girl clearly didn't go ask the vet about anything and just handed me off to talk to someone else and repeat everything I just said. The new girl says archer will be seen in 15 minutes. So was this whole surgery thing bullshit so that they could deal with other dogs and do other shit and neglect mine and keep him there for 7 hours until it's convenient to do their job? Oh it gets worse too I promise. I have the wellness plan so i didn't have to pay for the exam but when i dropped him off they asked if i wanted an anal gland exam and his nails clipped, i said yes. So I finally get archer after 3+ hours and they tell me "here's his dewormer, we didn't give it to him because he seemed anxious so you can do it. Oh and also we couldn't do the anal gland exam so here's a jar to put his poop in and return" so I paid $45 for some nails to be cut not even fucking good and a jar to put his poop in myself? AWESOME FUCKING SERVICE. I was just excited to get archer back that I left and I was late to leave town because of them so as I'm driving on my way out of town I call them and ask to speak to a manager. I'm told they're on lunch and to call back. I wait over an hour and call back. Oh they're in a meeting. Can I take a message? I leave a message, my name, number and they told me they would call. Did they call? Nope!!!! Did they close and not call me? YUP!!!! You'll still be hearing from me banfield. Fuck this location, fuck the unprofessionalism and screw the service. I promise you'll never see me and my dog again and I hope If you made it this far you won't take your dog their either. They don't care about the dogs, they're neglectful and give no shits if your dog is alone and scared because you couldn't see them when scheduled. Screw yall. I normally don't yell at anybody ever so this is a shocker from me but that just goes to show how pissed and disappointed I am that my dog was treated this way. read more

I love everyone at this Banfield location! They are always very kind and I know they always take fantastic care of my two dogs Alice and Watson. I have both of my dogs on their wellness plans and it definitely makes things cheaper and easier. When my border collie Watson broke his leg two years ago the staff saw him immediately even though they were closing soon. They did an xray, wrapped it up and prescribed some pain killers. They have been my vet ever since and I would not go anywhere else. These people are fantastic and truly care about your pets! read more

This place is a scam! To get my healthy 3 year old pup her annual exam and shots, it took 3 visits and cost almost $300! That's with their "free" first visit and does not include any medications like heart worm prevention. They also do not seem very progressive about alternative treatments and try to sell you on their "plan". I will not be back and do not recommend it at all... I've gone to this location & saw 2 different veterinarians on 2 different occasions and will not be returning. Both experiences were far from amazing. The front desk was clueless, the veterinarian questionably did a physical exam on my cat even though he was brought in for a comprehensive exam. At one visit, the vet didn't even see my cat until presumably when he was brought to the back and we didn't meet her until after the blood work was done even though he was a new patient. Neither time did they bother to look at my cats chart, which covered several years as I had been going to a different Banfield in a different state. Honestly, I've been to 2 other Banfield Hospitals in 2 entirely different locations and this was an entirely different experience & not a good experience. I do not recommend this location. read more

I'm so angry at these people. I went in last Thursday with my new baby puppy attempting to schedule a new puppy evaluation. I've had trouble finding any available appointments elsewhere so when they said the soonest they could get her in is on Monday the 13th I said ok. I did voice concerns about waiting so long with her having worms(breeder told me she did) & they assured me that she would be ok til Monday. Now today they call and cancel last minute due to family emergency. My issue with that is them saying she only was taking appointments until 4pm which leads me to believe that it is more of a "convenience" than a Emergency. I called around and no one can get me in until 7/29. I'm sick about the idea of my puppy not getting help with Her upset stomach for over 2 weeks and I've already paid for this service. I would say if you'd like great service ask to see Dr Luellen , he is by far the best vet I've ever had treat my pup at BANEFIELD, but also have never really had a problem with any of the staff, they have all been great! Sure, not everyone is always friendly as cheerful 100% of the time as they are trying to he their work done quickly and smoothly, so if you're not too sensitive of a person let them take care of you the way they know how and you will be in good hands. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I had one serious mis-diagnosis that resulted in my cat suffering for two weeks with a broken leg. We brought her in and were told that she just bruised it and it should be fine in two weeks. We asked if an X-ray was needed and the Vet said no. We brought her in again two weeks later to re-examine the leg and to address very lethargic behavior and poor appetite. We insisted on an X-ray of the leg and it confirmed it was broken. They also X-rayed her lungs and found "something abnormal". We would need to spend another $92 to have an X-ray tech determine what it was. We walked away horrified that the Vet could not diagnose the issue and it would cost us more money to have an X-ray read! We took her to another Vet who immediately diagnosed her condition and gave a us a course of treatment. I would highly recommend never taking your pet to this hospital given their total incompetence and focus on making money versus caring for your pet. read more

VERY pleased with the staff and doctors. My cat wasn't feeling well and they were able to get me an appointment very quickly. The vet greeted us as soon as we walked in the exam room. He was so thorough and was so helpful. She is going in this Saturday for a dental cleaning and I know she will be in good hands. They have awesome wellness plans that you can sign up for and pay out monthly (which is great!). Looking forward to using them for life. read more

Just Don't It. Don't fall for the Banfield Wellness Plan. It does not save you money. The fees for services at Banfield are above average. I became a member, got my dog the regular check-up then scheduled an appointment for her to be spayed. The original estimate was a range $290 - 362... which I thought was high. When we went back for the actual appointment the estimated range went to $417 - 522! They said they forgot to add the cost for her age, being over 50 lbs and antibiotics! We turned around and left and spent many hours arguing with corporate to be released from the wellness plan. My recommendation is Just Don't It! read more

Banfield has caring Vets, however Banfield Corporate price gouges and has corporate policies that treat the customer poorly. If you are on their annual wellness plan, they no longer schedule the annual comprehensive exam so that you are with your pet and the Vet during the exam. The only day they allow you to sit in on the comprehensive exam is Sunday. Banfield corporate appears to want to increase the ratio of pets to Vet to further increase margins. In addition if you decide to "one stop shop" with them for not just visits but also medication, you will pay much much more for routine medication (ear drops, eye drops, flea and tick medication, etc). I will not renew my annual plan. read more

I was asked to leave, "drop off", my eight month old puppy all day, to be told when I picked him up that he was, "too hyper to be walked and to diagnose his limp". The technician later stated that my puppy would have to be sedated prior to examination on basis of him being, "too hyper". This screams laziness and ineptitude. I've never heard of having to sedate a puppy just to watch him walk. I heard just about every excuse of why he came back to me wet, and why they kept him all day: from approximately 9:30AM to 4:30PM, without being able to do a thing for him because of his hyperactivity. If you can't handle a puppy, then what am I paying you for?! Also, apparently if you want your dog to be given a potty break, you have to specifically ask for it, up front. (I was not informed of this). Also, if you want them to do any kind of training/work with your dog for positive association training, you have to ask for that up front as well. Very sad the utter lack of concern or care for my fur baby. My trust is broken. I'll be taking him elsewhere. read more

Been happily using Banfield for years, until we moved to Bee Caves. The vet is completely understaffed. It takes days to get an appointment for even an acute condition. When the clinic was booked the staff volunteered to call other clinic to see if they had appointment. That is awesome ! You can tell these people love their jobs . If you are looking for a long term relationship with a Vet that will actually get to know your animals, this is NOT THE PLACE. I have taken my pets to this facility since it opened (9 Years?) and almost every single time I went their was a different Vet. I was told that the Vets, that have worked at Bandfield, do not care for the "Corporate Structure". After being turned away and having to find other vets when I couldn't get my animals in, when they truly needed to see a Vet, rather then just an appointment for a Wellness Check, I have made the break to a good ole Vet that owns and operates his own practice. Beware of the Banfield Wellness Plan, the problem with that Insurance for your pets, is when you actually NEED the insurance, for example, in an EMERGENCY or when your pet is very sick, you can't get an appointment. It's worth it to me, after the frustration of having to scramble to either go to an emergency vet or beg another vet to see my pet, to just spend a little more and have that reassurance with a vet that will consistently be there for my animals. That is money well spent in my book. In addition, the waits to see a vet....very long. And the way the whole set up is, is geared to have you spend money at their store, actually quite smart, but always something to be aware of as a consumer. Also, it's so much easier to park, and get your pets in and out at a Vet owned facility, which is really nice for carrying sick/injured animals in & out.
