I know everything is getting more expensive. And in a world of more and more expensive things, this just seems outrageously overpriced to begin with. Everyone seems nice enough, but the vet techs seemed inexperienced as they tried to take my dogs blood multiple times, in front of me, stabbing him at least 5 times, before getting someone else to do it. Are you actively training your techs, on my dog, in front of me? Someone else mentioned a bad blood work, and another person mentioned the machine was broken. We had a similar experience with our dogs blood work. first visit, some of his levels were 'off the charts', ie. their machine couldnt read them. we were told that their machine typically reads up to 5x the normal levels, anything over that and it just wont read it. no other alternative. no possiblity that it was a testing error. no desire or offer to retest to confirm. just immediate recommendation for hospitalization (when his only real symptom was a little lethargic and not eating consistently.) We were scared and worried, so we said "yeah, do it, save our dog". 24 hours later, they retested his blood (keep in mind, their blood test is about $200 more than anywhere else youll go already) and its 'mostly normal, one or two things are slightly elevated' and the Dr at that time said 'he has never seen blood levels come back down to normal that quickly' Maybe you messed up the test to begin with and my dog was never that sick. But you never confirmed the initial reading, that was just used to scare us into hospitalizing him and spending $5k with you. We took him to another vet for a second opinion. We got all of his records. The off the charts results, and the next day, and next week results. And were told that those 'off the charts' results are unusable, thats a lab error, and the blood would have needed to be retested. I called ahead and was quoted a specific price for my dog's procedure. When I arrived and had the procedure done, the cost was significantly higher than what I was told over the phone. That was frustrating enough, but what really bothered me was overhearing the veterinarian say something along the lines of, "We can overcharge them, he looks like he makes a lot of money." If that's truly the mindset, it's unacceptable. Pet owners are already in a vulnerable position when it comes to their animals. Pricing should be transparent and based on care; not assumptions about what someone can afford. I will not be returning. I'm baffled by the positive reviews after my visit on 06/6/2026. My main concern was to get my dog checked for an oral mass that needs to be removed. The staff and doctor was not helpful or very friendly. They also didn't try to comfort my dog, which she has a lot of anxiety going to the vet. I had to ask for cheese, which she then calmed down. I've been to multiple vets and they always find ways calm pets in distress. The doctor seemed like he just read a wikipedia page about the issue and would stumbled. It took over 48 hours to send a treatment plan and estimate, which confirmed they're inexperienced or unknowledeable. After receiving a $3k+ estimate, I laughed and went elsewhere. I have never left a vet feeling so uncertain, uncomfortable, and unwelcomed like they didn't need my business or even cared about my pet. read more

Honnas Veterinary Clinic has been a reliable and convenient option for my pet care needs. One of the things I really appreciate is how easy it is to park right in front of the clinic for free -- a small detail, but it makes a big difference when trying to get in and out quickly, especially with a pet in tow. Scheduling appointments is also incredibly easy and flexible, and I love that they are open seven days a week, 365 days a year. That kind of availability gives me real peace of mind, especially in emergency situations. Another big plus is that they don't charge an exam fee, which is rare and refreshing. The clinic itself is very clean, with plenty of exam rooms, so I've never had to wait long once I arrive. The technicians and veterinarians are all very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful, and I've really appreciated their willingness to assist with things like administering medications when I've had trouble doing it myself. That said, the main downside is the cost of services. While the lack of an exam fee is great, many other services tend to be significantly more expensive than at other veterinary clinics. For example, I recently brought my cat in for a fecal sample -- something that usually costs around $50-$60 elsewhere -- and was surprised when the bill came out to nearly $160, and that was without any medication. It feels like the higher pricing on services is likely meant to balance out the waived exam fee. Because of this, I'll definitely continue using Honnas for emergency situations and urgent care, especially given their year-round availability and excellent staff. If I could I would give them 0!!! DO NOT GO HERE, all they do is steal you MONEY and the unexperienced vets prescribe your pets medication that they don't need. I spent $2300 for a lot of unnecessary x-rays abdominal checks and didn't find anything. My poor dog was in the middle of her death bed. They had me there all day and didn't do anything to my dog. The very unexperienced vet couldn't see anything just for the OTHER VET to say that my dog had a corn in her stomach that she couldn't pass I had gave them the greenlight to do anything and everything to my dog to save her life because she was already having seizures and waby it me to stay overnight to charge me 2700 a night I said absolutely not. The next morning when I took her to the other vet she had to get emergency surgery. took the corn out and my dog is doing fine, Do your research bc our pets are our family and these people just care about Money!! read more

My first experience with Honnas was during an animal crisis. Last year, when I was introducing my dog to my boyfriend's dog got into a fight. In a panic, my boyfriend drove to the only vet nearby that was open on a Sunday night. I called ahead to let them know [boyfriend's name] was on his way feeling nervous and scared while I stayed back to check on the other dog. As soon as he walked in, the receptionist said, [boyfriend's name]?? Kristy called ahead and explained everything. Honna's bedside manner is 10/10. He felt such relief from such an awful night thanks to Honnas and their staff. They were so loving and nurturing to the dog we brought, who needed an emergency tooth extracted. I really appreciated the staff breaking some of the tension by joking around how the tooth's roots looked like a dinosaur tooth. It helped us get out of our heads from the sudden animal emergency. My boyfriend's parents later arrived and the staff was so informative and warm to his parents too. They answered ALL of our questions and shared what signs to look for if we needed to come back. We've continued to go Honnas since then. I've been there a total of 3 times taking all of our dogs for standard checks up as well. They answer every one of my questions without me feeling rushed. They are our go-to vet. And omg, the interior design is incredible. They have couches in every patient room, so my dogs are extra comfortable. I took my dog to Honnas after he had a few days of vomiting, and the experience was disappointing. The visit was extremely overpriced, especially for the blood work. Even more concerning, the results they gave me were flagged as abnormal and the vet expressed serious concern about his blood cell counts. Because the numbers didn't match my dog's behavior, I got a second opinion the next morning at a different clinic. They repeated the exact same blood work for one-third of the cost, and every value came back completely normal. The second vet explained that the abnormalities from Honnas were likely due to the way the original blood sample was collected or handled by it either being pulled too slowly or left sitting too long before being run, which can artificially alter values and cause unnecessary worry. I'm relieved my dog is healthy, but frustrated that the first lab results were inaccurate and expensive. When I request a refund on ONLY the profit that Honnas made on the test, my request was refused. I strongly recommend seeing another vet. My experience did not build trust, and I won't be returning. read more

Our interaction and scheduling with Honna Veterinary was so easy and considerate as we navigated our dogs cancer diagnosis. We booked an ultrasound at Honna, but unfortunately lost our sweet dog before we could come for the appointment. Although we never visited Honna with our dog, they sent us a card after his passing anyway. I thought that was so nice considering we never made it our appointment. What amazing bedside manner by Dr.Honnas and her team. Her practice space is ahead of the industry in transparency and care. I never lost sight of my little chihuahua while she was being treated. I am in from out of town and imagine my worry of finding a place to see her and receive great care. The entire office is open with glass walls and wide spaces. The seating area for you and your pet is clean and comfortable. I'm used to veterinarians taking my pet from me from the moment I arrive until after treatment. Instead I had the team with us the whole time. I worked in animal welfare for years and this facility ranks high on the list of veterinary practices. Not a good choice- inexperienced techs and very bad customer service. I visited this location in an emergency situation. In their follow up email they did not know my dogs gender and the care instructions given were vastly different than what the vet told me at the end of the appointment. They failed to inform me that they were charging an additional Credit Card fee on top of a $2000 invoice. I wont be going there again and would suggest you look elsewhere for care. Disgusting with No compassion. $$$ all about the $$$. Each appointment for the same service continued to increase. At my cat's 3rd visit I asked why the same service was double the cost of the last visit 4 weeks prior. I was told "Because they can" literally that was the response. Her prior appointment they seemed very disorganized. I even asked if they were keeping a chart for my cat. During the ride there she got sick in the carrier, after they removed her and drew her blood they put her back in her vomit filled carrier! At this latest and last appointment I finally declined their service because of the upcharge. The tech walked out of the room. No compassion for my cat. My 16yr old kitty was in my arms covered in vomit. Her carrier was in 3 pieces also covered in vomit. The vet tech didn't even offer a napkin. Soon as I declined their service she was gone. I also took my dog for nail trimming several months prior. He gets very nervous. They gave him back covered in feces. Seems they are more about the $$$ than the animals. This review is not just about cost it's the lack of compassion for the animals. It was not inability to pay, it was a refusal. I visited this clinic for the first time and I was excited to hear that they didn't have a fee for the appointment itself. I had a good experience when there but I did have a little bit of a wait. When there I was told that a urine sample would be sent to the lab with results to be communicated within 24 hours. I became frustrated when I did not hear anything 24 hours later and when I called to inquire they assured me someone would be calling me back. This same thing occurred both days 2 and 3 and by the end of third day I finally got a call back apologizing and following up. read more
