This Banfield is ok. I appreciate that the veterinarians are very attentive, don't rush me through conversations, address needs and concerns, are great educators, are organized in the way they speak to me and anticipate concerns/preferences (pricing, convenience, etc.). BUT that was a couple years ago. Currently they operate like a drop-off mechanic where you don't talk to the provider caring for your pet and the one time I spoke with a vet, they rushed me off the phone. Dealing with the staff that does the administrative work (I.e. answers the phones, provides logistical instructions) is annoying and it makes what could be a great experience, something I dread every time I go to this Banfield. They're not rude, mean, or condescending, but dealing with them is a headache. They aren't mindful of the patient experience, telling me to wait outside and saying "someone will be right with you" when the opposite happens and you're waiting outside when it's 20 degrees Fahrenheit and windy. I'd say when I call during business hours, the times someone actually picks up the phone is 1 in 7. Additionally they encourage illegal parking in the fire lane, when it isn't necessary and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot. I read the other reviews bc I was surprised to see poor ratings. Not only did I not find any fault with the staff at Banfield, I found them to be very sympathetic. Fortunately, our beloved cat never required vet services, so I can't speak to that; she passed peacefully at home, next to me. In fact, I was worried they might think we were not good pet parents bc I found our cat weak/paralyzed on the bathroom floor at about 1 AM, lying in a puddle of her urine "asking" me for help when I walked in. I didn't wipe her down as I ordinarily would have bc it was clear that was not what she needed - she needed comforting more than anything else. Also, my spouse had tried to offer her some tuna (which we did not typically feed her, but of course it always tempted her); she tried to eat but was too weak, so our cat's remains went there smelling a bit pungent though I tried cleaning her after she had passed. And of course she had wasted away in her old age (twenty-one-and-a-half-years-old), so my only concern at that point was what they might think of us. Again, they were very sympathetic and kind, and also respectful. The only time I sensed just a hint of frustration on their part was when I first called to inquire about their services when it became clear our cat was about to leave us, but that can be chalked up to a busy day. As soon as I mentioned the reason I was calling, I was met with nothing but sensitivity. I saw it mentioned in another review that the attitude at Banfield seemed to change after covid; that's everywhere. That whole situation threw a lot of businesses and people in the gutter, and everyone was pressed, and many of us are STILL pressed. For example, we were in WDW of all places around that time, and the cast members who are normally tasked with being consistently patient and chipper, to the point of being annoying, were nasty or just plain old unfriendly. One cast member even CURSED because we had a gift card and they "hate running gift cards". How dare we try and spend our money with them? All visitors were getting yelled at by staff everywhere. We were forced to wear thick masks in the September humidity. You want to talk about covid being dangerous? Us visitors almost all passed away due to suffocation. So, I mean, A LOT of people have lost their minds bc of that whole covid episode that's still being milked, and we're ALL still trying to recover. This is due to politics and the effect they have on people, their freedoms, and their livelihoods being messed with, and NOT necessarily businesses themselves. Many businesses are STILL understaffed, and what little staff they have can be curt. I've dealt with several horrifically rude cashiers and staff members at many places since 2020. How would YOU feel if you had to do the work of 3 people now? Maybe think about who's pulling the strings and pushing all of us around like hockey pucks instead of how customer service has gone down hill? Maybe you actually DO know how that feels bc you're one of the people doing the work of many, but didn't think about how this also applies to everyone else as well. But I digress. Where was I? Oh yes, our beloved cat who has sadly passed... The job was well-done. We received a paw print (though I genuinely don't know what to do with it bc it's soft. I guess I can maybe shellac it? I thought I might hang it on the Christmas tree), a nice cherry-stained box with her cremains inside, a pretty burgundy dust bag with a gold-embroidered sentiment, a name plate, a vile of her fur, the cremains cert., and a sympathy card that was personalized with messages of condolences by the staff. Yes, I understand that the staff is most likely mandated to sign these but it's still a nice touch. They always made sure to mention they were very sorry for our loss, though they didn't need to be. Our cat lived a very long, happy and healthy life. She was going to walk this earth one way or the other, and then pass away from it, and she got to do that with us. There is a void, but as saddened as we are by her absence, we were prepared for it seeing as how she was about, oh, I don't know - 110 in "human years"? She received nothing but affection her entire life. So my experience w/Banfield in Warminster was more than fair. I'm also disinterested in discussing anyone else's take on covid. read more

It's not because of the veterinarian or the people that work there or their intake process or any of those things as to why I feel like they are only should get a one star. We recently had to put her dog down at home. We had just recently seen the Vet few weeks earluer for her 3 year exam and to give her five shots covered by the insurance plan for her normal for your visit. A few weeks later she took a turn for the worse and we had to put her down. So we called the insurance company through Banfield and they made us pay $460 just to exit the insurance coverage and charged us for the services of the most recent visit. We were fuming that a humanitarian service could be so heartless. I Highly recommend staying away from this place if you plan to have proactive insurance because once your pet dies you're going to get whacked with another four to 500 $ bill for recent exams. read more

Words cannot describe the anger and frustration I have towards Banfield. We were seen two separate times, once in February and once in March. Both times were very quick, rushed, and did not seem thorough enough. Our kitten was getting more and more sick and on the second visit we were told "he is stable" and to return if he shows signs of hypoxia... I'm not sure what kind of medical professions they are hiring here but I would not want a doctor telling me to wait until my cats lips are blue. They also did not have a properly working SP02 machine and took a "best guess" at what our cats oxygen levels were. We were also asked ONCE by the vet tech if we would like blood work and IV treatment and we said "we would like to speak to the vet but if that is necessary then yes" however the vet never mentioned running tests. She said he was not running a fever however upon receiving paperwork, it not only states that we denied the bloodwork and tests (that never happened) but also our cat's temperature was 100.7. After being sent home and told that we should "just give it a few more days" we had no option but to take him to a legitimate veterinary hospital. We lost our cat 24 hours after being told "he is stable" by the doctors at Banfield Pet Hospital. I can't help but to think we might have been able to do something if only the doctors in that facility actually gave time and effort into fully assessing their patients. Our family is heartbroken and I truly hope no pet owner ever experiences the neglect to detail and care this place has made us witness. read more

This Banfield is very close to our house. We take our two dogs here. We have stayed with Banfield after moving from Orlando. We miss Dr Guzzi who was our Vet at Banfield in Orlando. He was so great! But we found a very nice Vet here in Warminster, Dr. Wolbramsky. My sister-in-law & brother-in law really like her as well. She is the Chief of Staff here. When you book your appointments make sure you book them to see her. She knows her stuff and won't try and over sell you on thing you don't need. read more

I've been going to Banfield in Warminster since my dog was a puppy 7 years ago. I was happy with the service until Covid happened. Now communication with the doctors is almost impossible since I can't go into the office with him. My dog needed a mass removed from his neck and I had to bring him to the office twice to get pricing on removal. I was promised call backs for pricing and never got them. I had to call multiple times and finally got a price of $500-$600. 2 days before the surgery I got a call saying the price would be $1180, but the lump on his gums could be removed with teeth cleaning added to my pets plus plan at a lower rate. He isn't getting a lump removed from his gums! After all of the visits and phone calls, how do they not know which lump is being removed, and how did the price double??I'm finally fed up. I cancelled the surgery and my pets plus plan and am looking for a new vet. I can't handle sudden lack of caring. read more

Honestly, I'm not even positive if this should get one star. My dog has been coming here for about two years, and this place has always a complete hit or miss and more misses than hits. Sometimes the doctors are fine and other times everyone goes straight at my dog with a muzzle without giving him a chance just because he gets a little scared while there and is a louder dog. There are rude nurses sometimes and he has only liked a couple of the nurses/vets. I would recommend actually giving dogs a chance instead of just saying you want to give them sedatives they don't need and coming straight at them with towels and muzzles before even seeing them and wondering why they're whining or more difficult to work with. read more

I purchased the wellness plan that covers office visits and routine vaccinations. The two stars I gave were for the techs - the plan is unfair. We basically chose the plan to get the first year of visits and shots - to be extra careful I went with the plan for 1 year and 1 month. Due to the Corona outbreak we did not get to bring our dog into the office until today 5/21. When speaking to the staff they assured me that even though our plan expired on 5/19/20 that they could allow the office visit and possibly with the confirmation from the doctor in charge (Melanie) that the shot fees could be waved. Well, when arriving we are told NO nothing will be waved -REALLY!!! so unfair - we are in a pandemic people - show some compassion - the shots and visit were paid for but because the appointment falls 3 days later from your next automatic pulling money from my account you stick it to the customer. Had a lot of problems with some of the other Banfields and we always seem to lose our favorite doctors. But, we love Dr. Rinehimer at this location! She is amazing and always takes the time to talk to you about your pet. She even calls just to check in on your pet to see how they are doing! Keep up the good work Warminster Banfield! read more

My cat suffers from asthma; his medication was running low; the inventory was out of stock throughout the country. With this extremely humid summer, I was really concerned. Kelly worked diligently to help me locate this particular medication. Kelly helped by telephoning other Banfield's, to check their inventory. Kelly kept me updated with the progress; she also informed me if she felt as if she were hitting a brick wall. We discussed contingency plans, alternate avenues (for his asthma); Kelly NEVER gave up. I was worried that my little guy was going to have a major asthma attack or go through major withdrawal which could result in a seizure (which he has experienced in the past). Banfield has been my hospital (and Veterinarians of choice), for the past two years. "Thank You" Kelly, you are the BEST!!! The entire staff at Banfield, remain steadfast, in offering a friendly, warm, and professional environment for my "pet family" needs! I recommend Banfield without hesitation. Thank You!!! read more

I love Banfield. I got a rescue puppy who is now 4 months old and have been bringing him here since he was 8 weeks. I signed up for the puppy wellness plan which is DEFINITELY worth it! I pay about $50 a month, and when I go for visits I don't pay anything there. It's definitely a great savings, as in sure I have already saved at least a couple hundred dollars. I have not met one person there I didn't like. They are all very pet lovers and get to know your pet by name when you come in very quickly. The vets are also great. They are very thorough when you ask questions and are all gentle with the dogs when giving shots or anything else. They even call you the day after each appointment to make sure your pet is doing okay after their visit. I would definitely recommend Banfield in Warminster! read more

My family has been using this Banfield location as our primary vet for 6 + years. In the past our experience has been great but recently we started working with a different one of the vets on staff and ever since we've been nothing but disappointed. She has been condescending and unprofessional with us on multiple occasions. Instead of questioning and accepting our answer about flea and tick treatment she accuses us about not administering it since we now go through a different supplier (not buying through Banfield). We would appreciate the double checking on their part but the accusations and lack of professionalism is inexcusable. There was also a time where our dog was sick one week after being at Banfield and the prior mentioned vet said there was no time to see him and I can try for the next week (over 5 days away)! Not only does my family pay for emergency care as well as preventative, our dog was sick and needed a vet! We should've been able to trust our primary. It's a shame that Banfield has to get a bad reputation for the poor professionalism of one employee, but this has been our experience and we are extremely disappointed. At the end of the day if an owner agrees or disagrees with a vet the owner still deserves to be treated with respect. read more
