Wow. Didn't know this place existed. Got surprised. Came here with friends and this place blew my mind. Loved the food. The goat stew was the highlight of the meal. It was tender, delicious, and well done. It complimented with scallion, and the bun. You could see it was freshly cooked and sliced in front of you. We had seafood pancake which was great too. Five stars - I have no words!! When you see a menu of only one page and only 5 items, you know you are at the right place. Small mom and pop Korean restaurant. I'm surprised it has so few Yelp reviews because all my Asian friends have been talking about this place Get the black goat stew!!! The steamed black goat meat is so tender and melts in your mouth. It also locks all the juices and flavors. Ridiculously delicious! The seafood pancake is also really good and different from most other places. Visited on Saturday night. Waited a bit to be seated. We sat at the middle table. It was so loud. Waited a long time to order because the server was not getting to us. We had to stop one of them while she was getting to the other table. Side dishes: kimchi isn't really fermented. Tasted pretty raw and too sweet. I wanna call this a salad. Heukyumso jeongol: I liked the soup. It tasted okay. The meats aren't flavored at all. The whole jeongol came pretty cold. We waited a while for the warmer to cook the soup (never really did). With my clients from Korea and we decided to take a trip from Manhattan all the way to Ridgefield, NJ to have the specialty of Black Goat Meat or Heu Kyum So Suyuk as they had this on the menu! I never heard of this before, but besides KBBQ and Soondobu and banchan, what would I really know anyway right! Well, I was googling like crazy this dish both in the english words on their menu and also the Korean spelling and got really nothing. This dish is simply amazing and well worth the trip to have this dish! 1. They bring out the rib meat or the neck meat to your table and prepare all the meat for your dish! The meat and bones have been simmering for perhaps 8+ hours and it is fall off the bone tender! 2. Once carved, they place it on a steaming dish on your plate on a bed of scallions and then you are given lettuce leaves, garlic, jalepenos and some kind of Ssamjang that you mix up. 3. Then, you simply forget your manners and dig in here! Now, I am not being polite, I am not using the "other end" of my chopsticks. I am all out in my "Lord of the Flies" mode and making my lettuce wraps of goat meat, scallion, garlic and shoving all this in my mouth to chew while I prep another of these wonderful tender wraps. After this wrap, we next had the soup and i was told it was the Heu Kyum so Jeongol which was plane and delicious. Finally, we ended this meal with Fried Rice and it was simply a complete and enjoyable experience. We were fortunate to go with native Koreans that knew how to order this and how to eat it. The food is a 4.5 the atmosphere and experience is a 2.7. Overall, the staff is just meh and the dishes are unsanitary considering this place is very old. However, there really is no other restaurant that serves goat, rice, and soup like this. The acorn jelly is my favorite side dish and they brought us more. The sauce is pretty good with goat. I would ask for extra of those bead things to add more crunchiness. The kalbi is very sweet. I would only recommend coming here if you love goat and can bring a water bottle. We come here twice a year to have goat. Each serving of goat is about $33 so it is a bit on the pricier side. read more

Atmosphere: 5 We came here for a super early dinner at 4:00. There weren't a lot of people but it was clear that only certain tables are used because there were table settings at some tables. The food came quick! Portion: 5 The portion is huge! There is a ton of shredded chicken and vegetables. The side dishes were sizable as well. I ate half and saved the rest for a second meal. Flavors: 5 The stew was a bit salty for my taste but still full of flavor. The stew had a ton of ingredients so it made the soup very flavorful! The side dishes are delicious! No comment on what they were made of. Love dipping bits of goat meat in that spicy mustard + ssamjang-ish paste + parella seeds & their oil (ddeul kkae oil) + minced garlic dip. There, I just told you the recipe - I'm nice like that. You could also have black goat soo yook which is the version they give you steamed meat, soup, and later make a fried rice out of the remaining soup. Definitely a 2-ppl + take home container kind of hearty meal. Even their banchans rock. This place simply cannot go wrong. I've been a loyal patron since mid-2000s, chasing them around from Fairview, Fort Lee, and now to Ridgefield. For a foodie like me to do such a thing, it means they got their shiznits down. Ever since trying Sam gye tang in Korea, I have been looking for this dish in the tristate area. I was not disappointed when I tried it here. The soup arrives sizzling inside the bowl with different herbs and the well cooked chicken. Be ready for another delight when you see the rice stuffed inside the chicken. The soup taste savory without any salt (the dish is served with salt on the side for your preference). Just writing about this fish made my mouth waters. This would be my number one go-to dish in the winter, especially considering it is great for the health. The service is great, place is big (was empty when we went), there's a private parking lot, the food is plentiful but I think goat is not for me. A friend recommended this place for Goat Meat. There aren't many places that specializes in steamed black goat meat. I believed that this place used to be a place for sushi/sashimi, not sure when they changed but am glad that they did. The is a minimum of 2 lb for the steamed black goat which was what I ordered which I think it is good for 2-3 people (if really hungry 2 people..lol). They also serve soup and fried rice served after the meat, both of these was amazing. The meat was very tender and each bite just melts in your mouth. Even better when dipped with the sauces they provide. The Service was great here and people were super nice. The location in Fort Lee by the community center was closed earlier this year and relocated here. I miss the old Fort Lee location since it was so close to me, but this location is definitely bigger. The goat is order by the pound with minimum of 2 lb., which should be good for 2~3 people. They also serve soup and fried rice served after the meat, so it's actually a lot of food. I don't know how they they it, but the goat meat is always tender and tasty. Each bite just melts in your mouth along with the sauces they provide. They do have a full menu with other selections, but you don't really want to miss out on the goat here. I would personally like to try the broiled eel next time. Saw the table next to us ordering it and it looked pretty good. Service could be a bit slow here, since it does takes some time for the waitress to break down the goat by hand for each table. I like this restaurant; it offers something others don't: their specialty- black goat. We came here on recommendation by a Korean friend and wanted to try the black goat. We will ordered 3 pounds of it to share between 4 adults and some children. We got the suyuk version, which is goat on a bed of scallions. The steamer trays steam the scallions and keep the goat warm. They break down the steamed goat off to the side and place morsels onto the steaming scallions. You get a foray of sauces like gojujang with perilla seeds and salted shrimp. The goat was so tender. We also got the steamed pig trotter (jokbal), and half duck served with steak fries and spicy scallions, and spicy belt fish. Everything was delicious. The kids love the goat the most. We also got the seafood pancake, which had a lot more veges than other places. Although we had an early dinner, I still made a reservation for 7 people. There were only a few tables occupied close to 6pm. There's parking in the back, which was great. BYOB! read more

Felt the craving for some samgyetang and this place has it year round. This restaurant is focused on well being food in general so you can't go wrong with eating here. The samgyetang was pretty good. Thick broth with dates and pieces of ginseng on the inside along with the sweet rice. I could see garlic cloves in there too, just the way I like it. I did see pretty much everyone else getting the black goat sooyook, so I'll be trying that next. This place is know for the black goat entrees and casseroles. I just moved here from California near K-town. I didn't hear the greatest about the Asian food here so came here a little bit bummed and certainly not high expectations. Bang Ha Nae blew me out of the water. Having lived 21 years in K-town and Seoul before that I know my Korean food and this place can hold its own against any in LA K-town; and if only looking at the prices might even be a bit better then LA. I can't believe this place doesn't have any Yelp review. So here it is. I love good protein and you must try their soo yook. They bring out the whole rack of ribs and they hand pull the meet in front of you. All you have to do is to enjoy really nice tender meet. It comes with tang, which is soup. Then you ask for the fried rice. I love coming here Eat lots of meet, drink soju and finish it off with one of the best fried rice. I strongly recommend this place. Try it. read more
