I'm used to really good desi food being that I'm originally from NYC. Since moving to Miami it's been kind of hard to find good authentic food that hasn't been modified to appease the pallet of locals -- that is until I found BDKK! Everything I've had so far with BDKK has made me want to come back for more as soon as I leave the place! By the time I get back home 30 minutes away in Brickell, I regret not taking some food for take out. The food here is really good! They have a good mix of South Indian and North Indian/Pakistani food, so make sure you try out their Dosas, Kebabs, Biryanis, Niharis, Aloo Parathas. If you're there on the weekend, make sure to try out their $6.99 Halwa Puri special! You'll all thank me later! The food here is better than Bombay Darbar or Ghee!

Amazing food, very authentic, made fresh and great tasting. My husband and I love this place! Owner is super friendly and helps make suggestions for first timers.

We ate there today June 6,2020 after looking online for Indian restaurants that have sit down option. This restaurant has a new management and hence have changed its name from Bangalore Bhavan to Bangalore Dhaba, difference being now they also offer non-vegetarian items. The ambience is good for an Indian restaurant. The owner are very hospitable. We ordered, the Rawa Masala Dosa (from a range of Dosa options), Vada Sambar, Chicken Korma, Masala tea, Sprite & bottled water. The service was point on. The food delicious something I would mostly definitely come back for. The only reason why they missed the last star is because we were never asked for the spice level. The Dosa was full of chillies and over done. Somehow we managed to eat it. But definitely something you guys should keep in mind. The owner says that they need to be told how spicy you would like the dish...lesson learnt.

Perfect solo or bestie date location…read more I finally understand the hype behind this life changing butter chicken. I ordered mine medium spice, and it was honestly perfect , creamy, rich, buttery, with just the right amount of heat that built slowly without overpowering the flavor. Every bite had depth. The chicken was tender, the sauce was smooth and flavorful, and paired with the rice and butter naan? Elite combination. The chai was warm and comforting, and dessert closed everything out perfectly. This meal had me quiet at the table for a minute because I was really taking it all in. Easily one of the best food experiences I've ever had. And planning my next visit and who to invite lol

Since Maharaja seemed to be the only Indian place nearby, we figured they got their snacks there. The eatery offers indoor and outdoor dining. And the decor is eclectic and cool. We were the only ones in the restaurant for a while on a Sunday at lunchtime, but soon we were joined by other diners. And like the passengers in the car, they, too, were South Asian. To me, this was a great sign. Our server was extremely polite. And she asked several times if the food was good and if we needed anything. We also got complimentary Indian crackers before our meals. And were given free warm cheese balls for dessert. We ordered the goat korma and the lamb maharaja, both medium spicy, for our meals. The goat was tender but the korma sauce was creamier than expected and a bit sweet with actual bits of raisins. The lamb maharaja was spicier than a medium level. But oh so good with a great tomato sauce that offered a scintillating tingle to our tongues. It was definitely the standout entree. And everything came to the table piping hot, including the dessert cheese ball. We were disappointed with our order of naan. It was flat and tasteless. We've had better naan from a grocery store package. While the food definitely was very good, we thought the prices were a bit high. Our entrees were close to $30 each. And the portions were decent but not ample. Lunch for 2 with 2 entrees, an order of naan, tax, and tip, was $80.

We ordered the veggie samosas, chicken tikka fries, paneer tacos, a side of fries and mango lassi. The mango lassi was flavorful and refreshing. The side of fries were crispy and for $6, you get a ton! The veggie samosas were incredible. Crispy on the outside, delicious flavor on the inside. I could've just had two orders of those and been happy. The chicken tikka fries were such an insane portion, definitely enough for 2. The chicken was juicy and fresh. The tikka was pretty spicy, but not spicy enough to ruin the meal. Just spicy enough maybe to make the nose run a little, but leave you wanting more. The paneer tacos were super unique. Ive never seen anything like it. They weren't skimpy on the paneer either, would absolutely order these again! Overall with everything we ordered, and a soda, the total came to $53.40. Considering we didn't have to eat for the rest of the day, and two of the items we got were unique, I'd say it was worth the money and I would for sure be back to try other things.

Either way, feeling alittle adventurous then try brain masala. Yucky ? No actually it tastes very good, as a kid I was totally grossed out by the whole concept of this Pakistani delicacy. As a adult I have gotten to the point that I want to try different unique foods and see if I like them. Bundo khan is a "minimalist" restaurant, actually it is a shabby looking restaurant with no sense of decor or beauty. The food takes forever to cook (45 mins at least) so go on a day where you have time or place the order on the phone. However, brain masala is one item on the menu that keeps me going back every few weeks when my palate craves some brain food. You can get a order of daal (lentils) they are made in thick gravy sauce and are good. I do not recommend the kabobs or chicken tikkah etc because the portions are so small and dry it's not even funny. If you want to step it up a notch and your palate is on a wild streak, get takka tak ! You must be thinking takka, whatt ? Let me explain takka tak is also another delicacy and it is a mixture of maghaz(brain), gurda(kidneys), champein(ribs) etc. All these organs are chopped and mixed together to make a unique dish with masala (spices). Takka tak word originates from the way the chef chops the pieces and you hear a cool sound in his knife mastery. So, I suggest to order brain masala and takka tak and see which one your palate likes best.
