I finally found it! I have been looking for great Indian food in west Broward and here it is - Taj Indian Grill located in Cooper City. This is a cozy restaurant with no frills and excellent Indian food. The server was very kind and helped us with our order. We had the plain, butter and garlic naan (all delicious) with mango chutney. We also had butter paneer and tandoori chicken. We ordered the regular portion - which fed us at lunch with enough leftovers for another meal - but they have lunch portions too. Highly recommend.

Came here on a Friday night for a work dinner. Large group of maybe 12 ppl and everything went super smooth. No problems with individual checks and orders. I don't eat a lot of authentic Indian but this had to be. I got the beef vindaloo, medium spice and a garlic naan, which I debated on and technically told the waiter I was just going to stick to the rice. However, it was brought out and after I confirmed it wasn't someone else's, I just kept it instead of sending back. The curry was a lot spicier than expected so the added carbs didn't hurt to cut the heat. I enjoyed the rice it came with a lot too. My wife got the tandoori chicken which she didn't complain about but I was very disappointed when I tried it. It was super dry, I did not want more than the single piece I took. If it weren't for this, I would say full 4 stars. Cost is more pricy than not cheap, but I think very acceptable and reasonable for specialty cuisine. Service was solid too. We are open to returning and exploring the menu for some other things that might be more suited to our palates.

We were seated as soon as we sat down. Our waitress and the manager constantly checked up on us. When we ordered, the food was quick to come out. Every last thing was DELICIOUS! We got the North Indian veggie weekend special, and the chicken tikka masala. Everything was amazing. The flavors were on point! As well as the ambiance; it wasn't too loud and it wasn't too quiet. I definitely recommend checking it out with your family, or even just by yourself. (Also when it was time to go the manager helped us pack the weekend special. He brought little containers for the sauces, asked us if we wanted extra rice to take, etc.) Okay I keep forgetting things, but the manager was very nice and funny!

Small plate- no plates for lunch- serving in small appetizer plate!!!

Service is a challenge and customer service is not as it used to be, no lunch plate, no water refill and poor service- not Taj I have sen in past!!!

Would definitely go back and try more things. Food 5/5 Service 5/5

This is my family and I favorite Indian restaurant. The food you can tell is authentic and fresh. The staff are also very friendly. We usually go for pick up orders and every time I open the door to the restaurant, I am greeted with a warm welcome. The restaurant is small and has a cozy design. My favorite dish is the Paneer Butter Masala. It always taste great. The chef needs a big recognition for his amazing work. The only thing is that you need to make sure you like spicy food. The Mild dish is still spicy. But other than that, you can tell that the food is not preheated and is fresh. This restaurant deserves a 10+ star. I will continue to go with my family.

Came here upon suggestion from a dear friend (family of the owners). Hubby and I were craving Indian food and this place hit the spot. It's a great little find in the Miami area (Cooper City). The staff was so welcoming and friendly. We got the beef cutlet & Taj chicken wings as appetizers. The wings were seasoned perfectly! I got the lunch portion of the chicken tikka masala (came with rice and naan). So very good!! Flavored perfectly! Will definitely come back again!! I love that they served alcohol (most Indian restaurants don't). We enjoyed red wine with our meal. Restaurant was very clean and cozy!

I've been here twice in less than a week! We have tried their butter chicken, Dahl, dosa, chicken tiki masala and a desert that I forget the name but, it's with cheese and a milky syrup with rose flavors that was to die for! The service is good. They are super attentive and accommodating. The place is impeccable! The bathrooms are so clean! The food is wonderful! I would recommend this to anyone with my eyes closed. It's a 5 star in its category!

I called a few days earlier to reserve tables and at the last minute two more people were added on but they quickly just added an extra table. The waiter patiently answered our questions about the differences of certain foods etc. I liked the onion pakora, the butter chicken, and the chicken biryani. I didn't get to try the naan or the dosa but I hope to come back. My group enjoyed the dinner and the ambiance. It wasn't too loud and although the place is small, it didn't feel cramped for our party of 15.

The Dosa is a must try! The crepe is very thin and crispy filled with potatoes and the sauces are so tasty. We order the butter chicken, korma lamb, and chicken tandoori. I must saw the korma lamb is my favorite, the cashew sauce is very nice and creamy. The waiters are very fast, they change the plates very quickly after appetizers and refilled the water often. The restaurant is not to big, so for 5 people they added a chair on the side of the booth. It still very spacious for all the food we orderd. I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes.

The food here is beyond good! &&& do not underestimate the spice levels! I love how quick and friendly the staff was here. I would def visit this location again. It's rated high for good reason!

Apparently this has been there for over a year but I've never heard or seen this place despite being in the plaza several times in the year. I was looking for something different or new. While searching Indian, this came up and the Himalayan aspect peaked my interest. Particularly the momo dumplings being something I've never seen before sold me on this spot. The space is small but spacious, clean and bright. The hostess/waitress was nice and helpful when I asked for recommendations. We ordered the HIMALAYAN THALI SET( FOR TWO) which came with an appetizer, 4 entrées, 2 desserts, naan of your choice and rice. We were told it would take a while to come out because it all comes out at once. We said it was fine and ordered some steamed chicken momo to hold us over till the food came. Our chili paneer app from our set came out and it was quite tasty with a good spice/flavor. Maybe 10ish minutes later our thali set came out. We went with our waitress rec for one veggie (aloo gobi), one chicken (karahi), one lamb (korma), and one seafood (shrimp tikki masala). It came with one bowl of rice for 4 bowls of food. We chose the garlic naan but they had many different more creative options to choose from. The naan was good but not great. The aloo gobi was tasty as was the shrimp tikki masala. The lamb korma sauce was delish but the lamb pieces were a little hit or miss with some tender but others a little harder or dry. Maybe another 10 minutes after our main dishes arrived, the steamed momo arrived. It was tasty and very layered with different flavors that I couldn't quite pinpoint. For dessert we got the kheer and mango kulfi which were unique. Without having a reference point for what a regular entree size is, it's kind of hard to say the cost value in the thali set for two, but if it's your first time and you want to try a a few things, it's probably worth it. I will be back to try the lunch specials next time.

The food was delicious, including the appetizer. My favorite dish was the lamb vindaloo, flavorful, and the perfect level of spice, I did ask for extra spicy, and it was decent, for someone who's spice tolerance is high, "extra spicy" here was just ok. The mango lassi is outstanding. It tasted fresh, nice consistency and not too overly sweet, which makes it a perfect match for any of their spicy dishes. I also recommend the onion bhaji, it's a delicious fried fritter, and an excellent choice for those who don't eat meat. There was one issue that made me, and my group a bit uncomfortable, and it was related to food handling and hygiene. There's an older female staff woman who walks around collecting empty dishes, but most surpassingly also is brining out food from the kitchen... with her hair opened up, down and flowing. When someone is handling food, typically their hair is pulled back, tied, out of their face and or have on a hair net. It made us all uncomfortable that this didn't seem to be addressed by management. Aside from hygiene concerns, that food and staff is excellent.

We both had rice and got a side order of naan. We ordered mild because of my past experience with the food here being very peppery. We probably could have gone up a level, but the mild was flavorful and had a decent amount of spiciness. Both meals were good and boasted tender and well-seasoned chicken. I thought the kadhai was a bit oily, but it was still tasty. We loved the naan, especially dipped in the tamarind chutney that I requested. During the two hours that we dined, we were the only ones in the restaurant, so service was quick and attentive. Our meal was about $22 each including tax and tip.
