I've been hearing about this place a lot recently and they opened up a new location in Bensonhurst. It's listed one of top 100 best NYC restaurants so I was curious to try. It's Uyghur cuisine, which feels like a blend of halal and Chinese food. The interior of the place has a nice signature green and I loved the seating area in the back with its fake greenery. Most of the dishes said it had spices, so I assumed they were all spicy but the waitress said the dishes aren't spicy. Our waitress didn't seem too friendly even though the other ones in the front looked more welcoming. The lamb leg soup was good. I also ordered an eel sushi, which I thought would come as a roll but it was just one piece, which I thought was pricey for one piece. It was delicious though. The chicken shawarma was different from what I imagined. It was more of a crispy chicken than shawarma from a Mediterranean restaurant. It came with white rice and side bowl of salad. The salad was fresh and refreshing with tomatoes and cucumbers. We ordered two other noodles dishes, which I thought was only okay. The food is good but not something I would crave and come out of my way to try again.

I've been seeing laghman express all over my fyp and in the NYT top restaurants list so I had to check it out! We ordered beef fried wonton, cold noodle salad, and beef laghman. The service was quick and the interior is bright and welcoming. The food was super flavorful and the serving sizes were large!

Had the eggplant, Chicken Laghman, Moroccan Tea, cumin lamb, Fried fish. All were flavorful and delicious. The staff were friendly and hospitable. We also had desserts such as honey cake, chocolate puddings ( Strawberry and Dubai Chocolate), and mango mousse. One downside is that food is very pricey.

What an amazing restaurant with great food from Central Asia! Everyone is super friendly and our waitress Alina was awesome. It was our first time, so she gave us plenty of suggestions: We got: -Crispy eggplant salad: this might've been our favorite dish of the night. How did they get the eggplant so crispy??? -crispy beef wontons: while these were good, i think boiled would've tasted better -boiled manti: YUM. These were so juicy. Filled with lamb and onion. You have to get these -Guyurou Laghman: of course we had to try the famous hand-pulled noodles! They were delicious and the beef / sauce were really good too. Super tender. I think next time I would try the dry noodle dish -cumin lamb: the portion is huge. This was the only dish we said we'd skip for next time, not enough seasoning for us. -beshmarmak: another dish with boiled meat, noodles, onion potatoes: this was the Star! The meat was SO tender and the noodles with chili oil were awesome. Don't skip out on the Moroccan tea either - we had enough refills for the 4 of us and the flavors were perfect. The service was also amazing. The owner even came by to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Definitely try out this spot!!!

Food: The food was delicious here! This restaurant serves Uyghur cuisine. We tried the stir fried noodles with lamb and beef as well as the manty (dumplings with meat). Both dishes were very fresh and tasty especially the noodle dish. I would recommend the noodle dish and would go back to try the other noodle dishes. The dumplings had a thicker skin which I'm not used to, but they're also worth a try. Service: Staff were very friendly and welcoming. They were also attentive and kept refilling our water. Ambiance: The restaurant is a good size and has seating for both small and large groups. The place is kept clean, and seating is spacious and comfortable. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant!

The food was incredible. Every item we got was delicious and flavorful. We got the: Dumplings with chili sweet vinegar dressing Smashed cucumber salad Dry fried noodles Stir fried lamb with cumin Spicy chicken with rice The food blew all expectations away and we loved it so much that we had to get dessert. Desserts consisted of honey cake (SO FREAKING GOOD) and mango mousse (also good)! We also got the fruit tea which was the perfect addition to an incredible meal.

I just ordered on dordash they make wait then restaurant cancel the order and i call restaurant girl with answering with attitude I am not buying free

The food is tasty I meant to order the dry noodle but got reg noodle instead I wish they would make the photos a bit different on their menu it always confuses me . I was disappointed when I got the reg noodles I got 3 I wanted dry but missed the correct photo on the menu they both look the same . I asked for a change they said no .I wish they would've offered one it would've made my day or gave it to me for 1/2 off at least .other than that food is tasty .make sure you know the difference between the noodles bc the photos on the menu both look the same

I recently went here with a friend who was visiting town. We ordered fried dough, samsas, a fresh salad, the dry hand pulled noodles, and manty. They were all delicious, though I will say the noodles weren't what I expected. Out of all the dishes, I'd say those were my least favorite. They weren't necessarily bad, but I expected a bit more flavor, though that could just be my misunderstanding of what the dish is supposed to be. The samsas and fried dough were my favorites. And I'd love to come again to try other dishes that caught my eye like the ones that included lamb. Overall, this restaurant is a good place to try out. The service was great and you received dishes very quickly. It was pretty empty on a Thursday afternoon. The restaurant itself was very clean and visually pleasing to look at. (I may be biased since my favorite color is green).

A hidden gem spot outside the city but not a hidden spot in the neighborhood. This place is fantastic in terms of food quality and food flavor. I was blown away by the uniqueness of the cuisine. 127472/10 will go again and try more.

    Sushi and the raspberry dessert

So yummy!! I still dream about the dry fried noodles and the Central Asia mantis!! I've already gone back twice. The service is friendly and quick. The honey cake is also so good. The restaurant itself has a bunch of seating. Always go during lunch on weekdays and it's bustling with customers so I imagine it gets even busier around dinner. Only downside is parking is a nightmare but since it's close to my house I can always uber or walk.

I asked to sub rice for noodles because one of my kids is a rice pot (can't go without rice) and requested extra sauce, which they kindly provided. The set meals are a fantastic deal; a full size entree, an appetizer and a drink for $19-20. An extra order of noodles is $2.50 and it's really double the amount of noodles that comes in your entree. I also ordered their new dish with has abalone and sea cucumber; this is not part of a set meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has that umami sweetness that comes from a great soup base and the noodles are delicious as usual. The abalone was tender, the sea cucumber had a bite to it. There was fish maw and wood ear in there as well.

The scallion sauce isn't too strong and no aftertaste lingering like garlic sauce. If you're not allergic to peanuts, definitely add the peanut bits. It adds an extra flavor. 8/10 The woodear salad: very vinegary and crunchy. 9/10 The potato salad:crunchy and the flavor is just right. Mild spicy. 8/10 The original soup noodle: too mild. Barely any flavor. 5/10 The mala pork intestine soup noodle: I got the regular spiciness level and it was actually quite spicy. If you can't tolerate spicy food, try mild or medium first. The pork intestine is bit chewy. Otherwise the flavor is good. 8/10 The seafood tom yum soup noodle: mild tom yum flavor. The soup base is slightly on the sour side. Overall is good. 8/10 Thai style soup noodle: the soup flavor is good. Not too spicy. 9/10 We also tried the brown sugar rice cake: it's just ok. Not crunchy enough. The brown sugar is missing some caramelized flavor. So it is a sweet rice ball. 5/10 I think the temperature inside would be fine if you go during a cool day. When it's a hot day, the restaurant could get very hot even if they turn on both ACs. With just 2 ACs insides, and eating a hot bowl of spicy soup noodle, we were all sweating inside. Though the food is good, I would not return during summertime. It's just too hot to enjoy a good bowl of hot soup noodle.

We walked into a simple, fast casual setup that focuses more on the food than the atmosphere, with a clean, functional space designed for quick meals and takeout rather than lingering. The ordering counter is straightforward, and the staff moves efficiently, keeping the flow moving even during busy lunch periods. The hand pulled noodles are the biggest highlight, with thick, chewy strands that have a satisfying texture and hold onto the sauces well. We ordered a few different noodle dishes, and the flavors leaned bold with chili oil, spices, and savory seasonings that give the dishes their signature Shaanxi style profile. The stewed pork and beef options were both generous and filling, but the lamb dishes stood out with a strong cumin flavor that brought a deeper, more aromatic taste to the table. The lamb burger is another unique item, combining seasoned lamb with a crispy, handheld format that feels different from typical restaurant offerings. The noodles themselves are the main draw, but the lamb burger is worth adding to the order if you want to try something beyond the bowl. Service is quick and efficient, making it a convenient option for lunch or a casual dinner. Portions are generous for the price, and the menu has enough variety to try different dishes across multiple visits. The spice level can be adjusted, but many dishes naturally lean toward bold and spicy flavors, so keeping that in mind is worth it if you prefer milder food. Xi'an Famous Foods is a reliable spot for anyone craving hand pulled noodles and strong, flavorful Chinese dishes. The chewy noodles, cumin lamb, and unique menu items make it stand out from more traditional Chinese restaurants, especially for a quick meal that still feels distinctive and satisfying. It is not a place for a long, leisurely dinner, but for a fast, flavorful bowl of noodles that delivers on texture and spice, it hits the mark well.

One of the best bowls of noodles I had in any part of NYC. Comparable to my top favorite shops like Maxi's Noodle House, Golden Wonton King, and Sweet Wonton House. On my most recent visit, I watched the staff make some of their plump and juicy wontons. They use such a high ratio of shrimp to pork, which makes them absolutely delicious. I can't get enough of them. With that said, their beef brisket and noodles are no slouches. That's why I got a bowl of Wonton & Beef Brisket Noodle Soup to be able to taste everything I enjoy the most here. I'll be back asap. Btw, buy the wontons frozen and enjoy them at home. I always leave with a few boxes.

To start off, we had the Cheeseburger Dumplings ($12), which was so unique. We've never had something like this and they executed it really well. The dumplings were filled with meat and fried with a skirt. The cheese part was topped over it like a melty dressing, so a delicious and special dish here. Plus, it had a side salad to balance all the grease here. For the entrees, we had to get the udon and shared the Niku Udon ($25) and Salmon Ikura Udon ($30). It was a nice combo between a hot and cold udon. The Niku was your classic udon bowl filled with plenty of beef and a perfectly soft-boiled egg. The broth was sweet and savory for a warm and comforting meal. On the other hand, the salmon udon was quite unique with matcha udon and fresh salmon. There is a dashi to pour and mix into the noodles, which still gave it flavor and the slurp you want in a udon. Both were so great in its own way. Even their ramen also looked great, but I love all noodles. Definitely a great spot to dine near Barclays Center. Love to come back whenever I'm in the area again.
