We used to frequent this place a lot a few years ago. We stopped coming due to a bad experience with a male waiter. Fast forward today and we decided to give it another go. Not sure if the older lady is the owner but she's extremely sweet and friendly! She greeted us with kindness and seated us. Our waitress was okay, she made sure we had refills and our food was correct. Now for the food. It's still just as good as it was before we stopped coming. They do have some of the best pad thai. I've had their Thai Style Fried Rice, and it's really good. Their appetizers are all pretty good. I had their TOM-KHA-GAI and it was very tasty! I have no complaints about the food. In the past I've had maybe one bad experience with overcooked rice but that's it. They've been pretty consistent in the past. The restrooms are pretty clean and kept, as is the restaurant. As soon as someone leaves they are out cleaning the area and wiping the tables clean. Overall we had a good experience! Food is good here!

Have been here multiple times. The food, the ambiance, and the service are really great! Would definitely recommend this place for Thai dining. They have a wide variety of dishes too

Honestly some of the best Thai food I've had in the longest time. Such a cute place too. I recommend like half of the menu haha Or at least the: - spicy fried catfish - pad see ew - pad thai - Tom kha - papaya salad - fish cakes - chicken basil Everything was so dang delicious and the service was great Price is also amazing. 1000% coming back and I highly recommend you make a trip out here.

Pro Tip: Order the Spicy Vegetable Salad (Yum Pak) as an appetizer and skip the Tom Yum soup. This is one of the best things on the menu. Bangkok City is still a favorite despite some significant shortcomings. I was reminded today about their consistently impersonal and frequently substandard service. But, the food is so good...at least most of it. The Tom yum soup is way too sweet and not at all spicy.

After a long, unintended hiatus, I recently came here for dinner with a friend. And boy--I had forgotten how great this place is! We started off sharing the corn patty and fish cakes. Both were delicious. I especially liked the dipping sauce that the corn patty came with, and I enjoyed the slight kick in the fish cakes. For entrees, we shared the crispy duck and the pad thai. The crispy duck was our favorite--delicious meat with crispy skin. What more can you ask for? I also enjoyed the pad thai and was glad it was more savory than sweet. If you want good Thai food without the frills, come here. You will leave happy and full without having spent a lot of money.

Cute little Thai restaurant that serves the classics. Service was quick and friendly. Everything was delicious, affordable and fresh. Loved that the menu prices included tax, making splitting the bill or adding tip very easy. I'd recommend the papaya salad, pad-see-ew, and pad-gra-pow. Wouldn't recommend the coconut juice (it's literally a container of Costco brand coconut water and a glass of ice). Overall, I'd definitely come back!

Love this soup!!! So happy I found a Thai place in east dallas that is actually spicy!

We absolutely love the service and ambiance here! The food is absolutely delicious as well! My faves are the pineapple fried rice, shrimp spring rolls and the hot pot coconut Thai soup! But you can't go wrong here!

    My all time favorite soup.
    Susan S.

I love this special place! The ambiance is serene and they serve my most favorite hot pot style soup ever. The Shrimp Tom-Yum is hearty enough to be a full meal, especially with a side of egg rolls or a Katsu Chicken appetizer.

Love this spot for take out or brunch! It's a great little atmosphere with awesome service and food! It's tucked from the street but will certainly surprise you if you dine-in:) I recommend the Singha beer(comes in ice cold mug), the dumplings for an appetizer, Tom yum soup, pad Thai, curry dishes! I love this place and the prices are good too!

(Mushy and wet rice) "Sticky" rice with custard(tasted awful)
    Vikram C.

Service: Service was below average. The waitress who primarily served me seemed to be in a grumpy mood. Not very pleasant. This is a shame because the lady who owns the restaurant seems very nice from my interactions with her. I usually get take out from here. Anyways, that's a star off. Food: I ordered the Basil noodles with chicken. This is my favorite dish here(I get takeout from here usually). Very flavorful! It did not disappoint. It has a slight sweetness to it which balances the spice which I like. I ordered dessert as well. I got the sticky rice with custard. I have ordered this dessert here numerous times but it was awful this time. The rice hardly had any of the syrup that's usually on it to make it sweet and was mushy rather than sticky. I basically had wet/mushy rice with custard on top. It was pretty bad. I ate the custard and left most of the "sticky" rice. It pains me to do this but I will have to take a star off for this. Ambience: The interior feel very cozy and not very big capacity wise. Table cloths. It will work for a date night or a modestly sized group. Lighting was pleasant. Value: The Basil noodles cost $16 and the awful dessert of sticky rice with custard cost $8. Considering the taste and portion size(they seemed to have slimmed down on the portions a little or maybe I was just hungry, not sure unfortunately), I would say it is worth it but stick to entrees. I will be back but will be staying away from the sticky rice for now.

It seems to me that this should not happen ever, but I grant that it's possible that it was an honest mistake. Consequently, we get to spend some scarce weekend time to go to the business and get the duplicate-double charge reversed tomorrow, and will be hesitant to return in the future on the heels of this error. Dining out is a treat until you find that you've been gouged with an obvious double charge. I recommend that you check your statements for recent visits here to ensure that the same error was not inflicted on you as well. Update: we returned to Thai Thai today to give them a chance to make the chain of events described above right, and they fell significantly short. The woman who gave us our refund (for the pre-tax amount, after asking us what we wanted and replying the full amount with tip) did not apologize for our troubles, or offer any additional concessions to make up for their error (running our card TWICE for different amounts at the same time, after giving it to our waiter). I asked for a gift certificate for our troubles/their error, and she refused, still with no apology. See you never again, Thai Thai, for double charging us and doing the bare minimum (not even an apology) to address their "mistake."

This location is takeout only, and its location in Victory Park makes it a convenient spot for quick and delicious food. The first time I came I had the crispy wings, vegetable rolls, and the Pad Kee Mao. The wings were huge and meaty - real chicken. Nothing like what you get in mass quantities at places dedicated to wings. The wings were sprinkled with fried garlic, and the flavor was out of this world. My Pad Kee Mao was also cooked perfectly. I ordered the dish at a spice level 4, and it wasn't overly spicy at all. It was a real treat! The vegetable rolls were my favorite by a hair. They were fresh made and the veggies inside were abundant. The taste and texture of the cabbage inside was perfect. The second time I came I did a repeat with the wings and the rolls. I have rarely ever had "fast Asian" this fresh and made to order. It goes to show that fast food needn't be bad, but still, certain needs in this country need to be met.
