If I could give a negative number I would. The food was terrible. The General Tso's was the worst I have ever had (couldn't eat it).

Hot&Sour soup and egg rolls were great. However, our entrees were not good. I will not order entrees again.

We stood there for about 5 to 7 minutes before heading to the bar to let them know that we were there. After that, it took about 2 to 3 minutes before we were greeted and seated. Once we were seated service continued to be a little bit slow. Our waitress came to our table about seven minutes later she seemed a little nervous and even spilled water on the floor while she was pouring us a glass of water. The start definitely threw off the entire vibe. What that said, the food really saved the experience. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The drinks were strong and well-made. Overall, I would come back, but I would definitely skip the reservation and just sit at the bar next time for a smoother experience.

On top of that, we tried the Lychee Martini and Margarita Of The East --both were absolute fire! For food, we ordered: - Drunken Noodles - flavor-packed and to die for - Honey Chicken with White Rice - another bomb dish The service was 10/10 --our waitress and bartender were the best! Attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. If you're looking for a place that nails ambiance, flavor, and hospitality, Elephant East is it. Highly recommend!Perfect spot for a night out you won't forget.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by Jordan (I believe that was his name) and seated promptly - Jordan also happened to be our waiter as well. The customer service was top notch all evening and we thoroughly enjoy the service. We ordered drinks and various appetizers off of the happy hour menu such as Lychee Like That (I enjoyed this drink and wish I would've ordered a 2nd), spicy tuna roll, sushi tacos, miso soup, hot honey potstickers, and the chicken gyoza. Everything was tasty but we really enjoyed the gyoza and potstickers! For mains, we ordered various nigiri (salmon, tuna, yellowtail, eel) and Wagyu handrolls. The nigiri was ok and seemed as if it could've been fresher and we didn't too much care for the hand roll and wish it had an element of crunch instead or just meat and rice filling. Overall, this seems like a party spot to go with friends, etc. as it's nicely decorated and the service was great. However, I doubt I'll return!

Garlic Rice Bowl ($13) + Pork Chashu ($2.60): The eggs did not look anything like the picture and there was not a lot of them in general. The flavors were on point though, which I think was thanks to the pork chashu. The cubed chashu looked a bit odd and made me a little wary but the flavors still worked. We also ordered extra fresh garlic which was free and adding it to the fried rice made it more fragrant and flavorful. This was still the best item of the meal. Creamy Tonkatsu Ramen ($24.44): Made with pork and soy broth so it was not as fatty or umami as a regular tonkatsu. It tasted like your average ramen and was not worth the price. We have had Jinya in LA and Vegas and know it can be better. Even though it did not taste particularly fatty, my body felt it and I broke out a bit later that day. Aburi Oshi Sushi Salmon ($11.44): Came with 3 pieces that were just alright. Salmon Poke Tacos ($10.40): Came with 2 small tacos. They packed the poke separately to keep the taco shell crispy, but you do have to assemble everything yourself. The poke itself was not super fresh and this was our least favorite item of the meal.

You can tell they brew it and it doesn't come from a syrup. When I sat down, I was instantly greeted, and there were like four different people serving my table, I think that they all work as a team to make sure everything is covered. The service was just amazing. Restaurant is beautiful, the booths were , small and intimate and you feeling that you in place with privacy and yet part of the group ....kind of interesting how they've done that. But the food! The food was outstanding, first they gave me a complementary appetizer of Jasmine sticky rice with this eggplant chutney, that was very tasty, a teeny bit spicy, but really good depth with flavor. Then my beef Samosas arrived. There were four, wrapped in like a triangle rapper, smaller than the Indian version of the same, and the flavor was very tasty, and corn and small chopped potatoes, yum! The two chutneys that came with it one was a cool cucumber, and the other was this sweet and spicy plum sauce. They made samosas!!! They could be soft and cool, or they could be delicious and spicy, depending on chutney you had them with and you had a third option.... There was a bed of pickled radish and carrot that really sit off the samosas as well and we're just delicious on their own. I devoured the entire thing. Then get the entrée. I had drunken noodles and I added the shredded pork... It was devastatingly tasty!!! the noodles were obviously done it a wok that's been seasoned to perfection. The wide noodles picked up all that deliciousness from the wok and then combined with the pork... heaven ! They had large pieces of bell pepper and tomatoes. very fresh onions... Just deliciousness. I was too full this time to get dessert, but I'm definitely coming back and I will definitely try it next time

If I could've given this restaurant zero stars, I would have. Everything about this place, from the atmosphere, the service (or lack thereof), the attitude of the staff, and the food was terrible. Had the food been great, or even good, I could have endured the rude staff, but the food was abysmal - the dumpling wrappers were too thick, and the meat inside was like mystery meat - no flavor at all. The only thing that was slightly edible was the charred edamame, ironically not what they "specialize" in! To top it off, it wasn't cheap, so we walked away feeling like we were fleeced! Not sure if we came on a bad night, came too late at night or what, and I say this as I know there is a kiosk however my kinfolk that went in to order didn't know as it was her first time and she stood at the counter waiting for someone, as none of the employees engaged with her. It was my very first time going to Komodo and the first time experience was not the greatest. Before I go into my review, I did enjoy the ambiance, decor and food. The food was actually really good and the portions were decent. I ordered the wagyu beef dumplings and garlic noodles for starters. I initially chose the Peking duck and was super excited to try it. This is where it started to downhill... As we were ordering starters and drinks, the drinks came out fairly quick and the starters did take about 15-20 minutes which I understand it was a Saturday night. After most of the appetizers came out, we decided to order our entrees because we noticed how long the appetizers took. About hour and some time goes by, the waiter comes back to tell me they just ran out of Peking duck. Which was disappointing so I quickly ordered the Korean fried chicken. The timing with how they ran out the entrees was a whole mess. There were two food runners that were confused with the food orders. 1 of 8 of my friends got their food way before all of us, we had waited an additional 15 minutes before 2 more entrees came out. Oh! My second appetizer (garlic noodles) still haven't come out yet and some of my friends had their entrees....My Korean fried chicken came out but it was fairly quickly so I'm not sure they just threw it in real quick for an apology of taking so long. Two of the breasts we're hard and tough to cut. So then we waited and waited for my very last friend to get her Lo mein...it was an extra 45 minutes until she was able to get her food!!!!! Unacceptable. I was so irritated about that and just ruined the mood. We were all done eating our food by then. We were already frustrated and ready to go at that point, but as soon as she got her food, the veggies were undercooked and it was an overall upsetting situation. I wish I had a better outcome and better celebration for my birthday. I would only recommend this place if you have nothing to do..because you will be waiting for your food for a long time. I suggest to eat before you go and by the time you digest, your food will be ready
