    Soy Sauce Noodle
    Mel S.

Bangkok Cuisine is one of my go-to spots, but I never seem to remember to leave a review! Everything I've ordered has been amazing, and the service is consistently great! Last night I ordered the soy sauce noodles with fried tofu & it was delicious as usual! Whenever you order a dish with tofu, the servers are sure to ask if egg & fish sauce are okay, which I really appreciate as a vegetarian! I'll definitely continue to keep Bangkok Cuisine in my rotation!

We have eaten at Bangkok before, but I can't give a reason as to why we haven't come back again an again. I can still think of my meal and my mouth salivates at the thought. We were greeted quickly and I couldn't believe how fast our food came out. I had the chicken panang and my husband trusted the server for something new, so he ordered the spicy (going level 5) basil noodle with beef. Had some yummy sides also. Definitely had left overs to enjoy later. Count us in for some return visits

The food was decent, the flavor on the red Curry was really good. This was my 1st time here. The service was not good. We had to wait on her a couple times to get a couple different things. I had to get up and go find our server as we were waiting for her to come by so we could get to go boxes. The decor is very cool. The restrooms were not clean. Plenty of comfortable seating.

Lacking in service for sure. Asked for chili sauce and was uninformed of a charge for it plus it was so salty and smelled like fish. Ewww! Pad kee mow was delicious with the perfect spice level. The Thai coffee was very sweet as expected and so was the tea. Mediocre at best. Lunch specials seemed to be the better deal here. Looks like a legit Thai restaurant without Thai peoples.

Every meal has been delicious, the service prompt. I am happy to come here again and again.

My wife loves this spot. I've had some tremendously enjoyable Thai entrees here, everything from their fried rice, spicy basil noodles and whole fried fish. Stopping in randomly to enjoy their lunch special I had a chance to try their Beef black pepper and garlic and Fritz W. would have their Chicken Panang Curry which is a rich, creamy and mildly spicy Thai dish known for its coconut milk sauce. It smells really amazing. The lunch portions are modest, really a boutique lunch experience whereas if you were going for dinner you'd expect a good portion. This is enough to eat in a single sitting with a reasonable appetite. The service here was pretty good. Our waiter had a few tables to support so not as tentative to follow up and ask us about our meal but more so we had to find him to ask for extra sides. Not too big of a deal. For roughly $15 a person for a warm delicious Thai meal you can't go wrong, you'd just want a few more bites and that may cost you extra. Lol

5 of us revisited Bangkok Cuisine for a birthday celebration. I greeted the hostess in Thai and she could not even say Hello back in Thai. That was warning sign #1. I'll start positive: - Pad See Eew - Best of the items ordered. Soft noodles, well seasoned. Nice portion of protein , broccoli and noodles. Harder for me to find this menu item as it's Americanized and named soy sauce noodles. What? I'd never called it this. Warning #2? - Cashew chicken salad. The non-Asian who ordered this loves this. She is the reason we visit for nostalgia. - Nice there is a dedicated parking lot. What has room for improvement: - Chicken egg noodle tasked like my first cooking experiments from the college dorm where I have a portable hot surface and a jug of soy sauce. Do not recommend this lunch special option - Thom Yum Noodle Soup was inedible. It was as if pad thai had hot water poured on it. I cannot think of a way to adequately explain how wholly inauthentic this portrayal really was. - Curries. At this point, we are grading very leniently but it is clear the veggies and meat have just met the sauce as acquaintances while traveling into the bowl. Sacrilege! blasphemy! God damn flavorless. The restaurant smelled pretty strange. Upon visiting the bathroom, we realized the smell came from the bathroom and hallway from the bathroom. Husband was not enjoying our seating location. Some chemical cocktail used for, hopefully, cleaning purposes. Warning sign #3. As per my husband in debrief, the ambiance was 'a dump.' Try the other location by McQueen...

    Basil Fried Rice with Chicken

What a hidden gem in the Midtown area of Reno. My wife and I were looking for a new place to eat and decided to drop in and boy were we ever glad we did. The first thing that strikes you is the wooden decor which was so appealing. Next up was the staff who were attentive and helpful. But what took it over the top was the food. I ordered the Basil Fried Rice with Chicken and my wife got the Panang Curry with Pork. Both were absolutely delicious and the portions were ample. The addition of the fresh cucumbers was an extra bonus. Will absolutely go back and try some of the other dishes on the menu.

    Pork Thai Dumplings (6)

One of the original Thai restaurants in Reno and still does not disappoint! We got their Thai dumplings to start followed by their lunch specials. Love that they offer their lunch special on Saturdays too! Each special comes with soup of the day and their curry pop. We chose red curry with chicken and black pepper garlic with chicken. Red curry typically isn't spicy but if you see the red specks of pepper in the photo, it's because I ordered spice level 5! Everything tasted great, inside was clean and welcoming, and our server was very attentive. Restaurant also had a giant thai tea decoration which made me chuckle. Parking. It is what it is you're in midtown. Doesn't stop us from coming back.

Yummy Thai spot!! Very beautiful interior and very delicious food. My group of 3 split a few appetizers- the beef strips and steamed dumplings. The beef strioz were pretty good, the dumplings were a pass- not bad but nothing special. For my entree I got pad se eew with beef and I'm so glad I did! It was so tasty. Would definitely get again if I was ever in Reno again and came here. For dessert we got the sweet rice with mango. It was okay, the mango was not ripe which made it a little hard to eat but the rice was good.

Consistently delicious! Ambiance of the interior is intimate and cozy, warm and welcoming. Service can be counted on to be friendly and caring, always with the feeling that they are genuinely happy that you are there, whether dining in or picking up take-away. Menu is expansive, with established favorites such as Pad Thai, as well as several curries and other dishes to experience. They let you choose the level of spice heat that you are craving. Parking is limited in a tiny lot. A very enjoyable restaurant every time!

TUESDAY LUNCH COMBO SPECIAL - Green Curry* Pud Thai (thai Noodles),
    Ari C.

I love getting the lunch special at bangkok. For $13 you get a soup, two entrees, rice, and a curry pop. the flavors are amazing. I enjoy their curry. Today's lunch special includes the green chicken curry. The pad thai is always delicious as well. The service was great and I enjoy the darker lighting of the restaurant. the only thing that wasn't a 10/10 was the iced coffee. The coffee was a little sour but i'm sure that's not usual. Overall, I can't wait to come back :)

It's been a while since we've been here, and the food is still great. They make the best Pad Lad Nar in town. Both my wife and I had the dish: mine with beef and hers with chicken. The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the gravy sauce was the right consistency and very tasty. The decor has not changed for years, and there is plenty of dark wood paneling and trim. It is a very cozy restaurant. The service was excellent, prompt, and attentive. Our food came out quickly. I would recommend this restaurant.

The wood ear in it was excellent, but I've never seen it in pad thai. The thai ice tea was good, maybe a bit heavy on sweetener. I don't understand the high ratings here, based pireh on food. Thai Chili has far better flavors, and is rated lower. The wait staff/food runners lacked politeness, and never checked if we enjoyed our food or needed anyone. Sans the person filling everyone's water, we were never checked on in any other capacity. My goto for this is Chinese food. I ordered chicken chow mein and stir fried mixed vegetables. It came in two trays and enough from probably closer to 15 people. So portions were good but the total bill was between $120-$130 about what I've come to expect here in Reno. Let's just say, I've traveled to several countries in Asia and lived most of my life in Northern CA eating quite a bit of Chinese food. This doesn't make my an expert but it would be fair to say, I am quite familiar with what is considered mainstream traditional Chinese cooking. But let's get to the food, with the caveat that I realize that everyone's preferences can vary widely when it comes to food. So my opinion is based on what one would find in Hong Kong and San Francisco. The chicken chow mein had all the correct ingredients, long noodles that were slightly thicker than say spaghetti, had the correct amount of softness without being mushy. Chicken was presented in slices and appeared to be white meat, there was some white onions thrown in there for some texture and flavor. Normally when I order chow mein, it isn't served with a brown "gravy". Not that this dish was swimming in it, but think of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Replace the red with medium dark brown and you get the picture. Now my guests who are Reno locals, thought it was great and flavorful. I would agree with the flavor part but it was much too saucy for my tastes. Would I try Chin Chin again for noodles? I'm not sure but the owner did state, they can make dishes any way I like, so perhaps I'll order off menu next time. The stir fried mixed vegetables is where I was most disappointed. Let's start with the ingredients. All were sliced in 2-3 inch pieces, which included button mushrooms, zuchinni, bamboo shoots, brocolli, carrots, and onions. This dish could have passed for a savory vegetable stew. There was a lot of gravy, so much so, that it colored all the vegetables brown, except for the carrots. The sauce had a slight "twang" to it, almost vinegar or worchester-like. Not my thing, I could not taste the individual flavors of the vegetables because of how heavy the sauce was. The brocolli was over cooked where the flowerette parts were pale. I prefer my vegetables to be just cooked, almost snappy. I would not order this dish again. No comments on the restaurant itself as both times I tried it, was for take out. So bottomline, would I try Chin Chin again? Yes but I will be very specific on how I would like my order prepared. Maybe for their lunch special.
