I ordered online and arrived on time and maybe a few minutes early. A few people were waiting before me, perhaps it was DoorDash or UberEats drivers. Then a few people after me, but the lady putting the orders together never acknowledged us. Finally a girl came over and asked all of our names on the orders. Perhaps understaffed on Sunday, July 5th? I noticed that one of the 2 men cooking had no hat or hairnet on. That seemed unsanitary. The restaurant is not ADA compliant. I'm disabled and have a HUGE complaint about the width of the hallway to the restroom which is less than 30" wide. I used my cane today but often use my mobility scooter or walker in which case I would be NOT be able to access the restrooms nor could Remsa easily reach someone in an emergency. Ordered through DoorDash for pick up and the process went smooth and we were able to pick up our food in good timing. The restaurant is rather small, tucked away in a shopping strip on Caughlin parkway, however it was clear where we could pick up our food and our order was perfect. I ordered the pad thai level 3 spicy and my girl ordered the red curry with salmon and rice. We both were impressed at the taste and it met our expectations. I know there are several Thai restaurants in town, but you can judge how good one is by the pad thai. I also appreciated that the level 2 and 3 spice levels were accurate to how I would imagine rating spiciness on a 5 point scale, some restaurants really tone it down on spice. read more

I ordered my two favorite Thai dishes-pad Thai and Larb, both were over the top-in taste, temperature and portion size. The room itself was friendly with a lowkey Thai decor. The waiter was friendly and didn't hover. The menu was huge and well-organized, making it easy to decide on what to order. Prices were reasonable The restaurant is in a shopping center so there's lots of parking. I live across town from it, but it is just a few spaces from my dentist, who recommended it so I will be here at least four times a year! This is one of the best Thai restaurants in Reno in my opinion (flavor-wise). The service is also really friendly. The only downside if you choose to eat there is how worn down the dishes are, food splatter and cracks on the walls with tons of to-go order pickups. Ordered delivery. It was not the best. The only saving grace was the coconut soup. It had good flavor. As other reviewers state chopped vegetable sizes make it hard to eat. My husband had tempura shrimp with asparagus and curry sauce. Potentially this is better served fresh from the kitchen? The yellow curry was watery and a big hunk of broccoli was cold?! Wow. I ordered from DoorDash. Food arrived very hot and packaged nicely. The cucumber salad smelled fresh and vibrant the moment I ordered it. It had a fresh, and sweet, yummy taste. The Tom Kha was packed with veggies, more than I've ever experienced with delivered Thai. It is wildly flavorful, a bit tangy, sweet, and bold. The tofu soup is a flavor blast. Heck, add noodles and I would have the perfect ramen. Again, packed with veggies and tofu. Additionally, the variety of veggies is much broader than I'm used to seeing. Me and my husband were taking our son to a park nearby and spotted this place while driving by so decided to stop in for lunch. I think they were a little taken back at first because they open at 12 and we literally walked in at 12 on the dot (a weird coincidence lol), but the server was amazing, got to work right away and interacted with my son. It was pretty much 1:1 service and she was so so nice. The food was great, we had some egg rolls and chicken satay for an appetizer and my son's main dish and both dishes were very good. The star for me was my entree though, I had the curry noodles which were somewhere between a soup and a regular noodle dish as there was a lot of the curry sauce. Absolutely delicious. I went with a spicy level of 2 and I'm glad I didn't go any higher because the 2 still packed a punch! Thankfully I do like a little heat. My husband had a level 3 for his noodles and he said they were pretty spicy so if you're not a spicy person I would go low! If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back! read more

While I am giving this review 3 stars, it is not mosly based on the food. I had chosen this restaurant as my favorite Thai restaurant in Reno. However, yesterday was a huge disappointment based on the service we received. We were seated by the window, but obviously too far from the server. We waited nearly ten minutes for him to return to take our beverage order, at which time we ordered our food. We ordered lunch specials - I ordered the Spicy Thai Basil with added beef and my husband ordered a cashew dish with added shrimp. I also ordered rice (75 cents) to share. I specified to the server we would share the rice. When our soup arrived, we asked for soy sauce and hot sauce as well as salt and pepper. We waited and waited. The choice - eat your soup the way it was or wait until it was cold and we could season it appropriately. My husband started to walk up to the server to get the items himself. The server said he would bring them to our table, which he did. The pepper tray (three different choices) looked nasty. I hesitantly added dried chili flakes to my soup. When our entree arrived, the rice was on my plate and I received half the amount of salad that my husband did. The salad was delicious and I truly wished I had more. The server did not come back and check on us. When he did I told him my spicy basil dish was not spicy at all. I told him the name of the dish was "spicy" and his reply was that "that is just the name." He then told me that I did not specify if I wanted it spicy, at a 1 through 5 level of heatness. I told hm that he did not ask how spicy I wanted it. His reply was, "Oh sorry." I was further irritated when we received the bill because it said "Not spicy." We could not eat our food easily because the vegetables were cut in huge pieces. I chose to eat part of my entree and take the rest home so I could eat it easier. I also took the DRY rice home. I asked for boxes and he did bring them quicker. I had to ask for a bag for the containers. My husband had iced tea and wanted a refill. This was never offered, and when he took his glass and walked up to the server he finally got a refill. I put our card on the try to pay and that was picked up quickly. The server, at the same time, took my husband's plate while he was still eating. When my husband said something, the server offered to give it back to him. No thanks! I mentioned to the server that the condiment tray looked nasty. He said it was just from the hot sauces. I told him it needed to be cleaned as it was dirty on the outside. He told me that it was cleaned once a week!!!!!!! I told him it should be cleaned after every guest. He looked surprised and thanked me for my input. I told him this was the worst service we had ever received at Siam Thai. He gave me permission to not leave a tip. Granted! read more

I came to this restaurant as I've been searching for Khao Soi in Reno and I found it!!! This massive bowl w/ level 3 spice was amazing! Best part, it is enough for 2 dinners for me. Kids got Tom Kha (a bit sour in my opinion) and tempura shrimp curry, both huge portions but the tempura shrimp was just fried shrimp. The only disappointment was the avocado rolls, tasted good but very small portions. I'll be back for the Khao Soi again! read more

We decided to check out a new (to us) Thai restaurant! The service was kind of slow for us, but we were patient. The overall restaurant was clean and well put together, which was a plus. The food was amazing! The native Thai spicy on my pad Thai could have been more, but the flavors were great, and I added some chili oil to get it to my liking. The Thai basil fried rice was good, however, we ordered a level 3 spicy and it came out with no spice (we checked the receipt and the server misheard us). The intentional order was for the Thai basil noodles, no biggie. The Thai iced tea was delicious and tasted great! Overall, good experience, good food, just a slower pace in service. read more

I was hungry and needed some lunch. I didn't want to drive so I ordered takeout. As everyone knows, takeout comes at a premium price! Honestly, I was not disappointed! The green curry is amazing (with enough leftovers for a 2:00 a.m. snack). Rice is...rice. What else can I say? The delivery driver was efficient. The QTH (technical term, look it up) is my home. My favorite dish here is the pad kee mao aka drunken Noodle. It is got a good char, fresh veggies, savory umami. It's just so well balanced with a touch of sweetness. The veggies are fresh and they give you a good variety of veggies. The noodles are always perfectly chewy. read more

But they have no concept of the idea that appetizers come out first and all entrees should be served at the same time. My sisters dinner came out when we just started our appetizer. My dinner came out 10 minutes later My sister's Pad Thai was very good .. although the shrimp was slightly over done I decided to try something different.. I almost always order pork pad Thai. So I decided to try the Crazy Duck.... Crispy duck with Spinach and peanut sauce. I assumed the spinach would be cooked .. it was not .. and I didn't ask so I couldn't complain. So it was warm peanut sauce over raw spinach .. kind of a strange combo, but it was actually tasty. The waitress apologized my dinner taking so long. Said there was a new cook in the kitchen. Perhaps that's why my crispy duck was like chunky jerky ... overcooked and dry. Yet the center pieces which I was able to eat was quite tasty. Perhaps this is the way it's supposed to be. While waiting for a friend to come jump me I went here and perused the menu. Decided on some real comfort food and ordered a red and green curry with sticky rice in the side. Friend showed up just in time and we slurped these babies up! Orders both Xtra spicy and they were both so tasty. The green curry I ordered just vegies. The red was a pumpkin chicken. Really wanted a good thai lunch with my wife. The food in a nutshell was poor. Appetizer was a greasy dark brown cold triangle of dough with who knows what inside. Salad was pretty good with a great dressing. As for the main course, I ordered spicy basil with vegetables, pretty tasteless, not spicy, chopped up parts is parts chicken for an up charge. My wife had Pad Thai with chicken. Uninspired ketchupy sauce, over cooked mushy noodles. At least some recognizable chicken but overall meh. There are so many great Thai Restaurants Downtown and elsewhere in Reno and Sparks. Pass on this one. Reading all the great reviews I wonder if this was a truly off day. I'll never know. read more

Be careful ordering online. They automatically add a 20% tip for themselves and won't give it back. I talked to them 4 times, including when I picked up the food. An overdue review but much needed! This is one of the friendliest and most cozy restaurants I've ever been to in Reno. My friends and I have just landed in Reno on the night of 4th of July and we were looking for places to eat. This restaurant was so kind to take in 15 of us as a walk-in during the last hour before closing. The service was quick and above and beyond. The ladies cooking our food were so friendly and funny, while our server was very attentive and accommodating with our needs and split checks. To top it off, the food was so AMAZING!!! So flavorful and delicious. Portion size was great and the poultry tasted fresh. Will definitely visit here again whenever we're back in Reno! I have dined at Siam Thai three times now. The service has been friendly and lightning fast each time. The dining room is clean and simple: one room with a seating capacity of around 50. Today, we were served by a delightful young man, Teerasuk (apologies if I have misspelled it). The Thai tea was delivered quickly and tasted amazing. The spring rolls are solid - lots of fresh herbs - with a flavorful peanut sauce that isn't overly sweet. We wanted to try Khao Soi, a dish local in the north of Thailand. This restaurant was one of the only ones in Reno that offers it. Oh my goodness - it is so delicious. It is an egg noodle dish with a rich coconut broth with a touch of spice (or more if you're adventurous!). We have also eaten the Pad Thai, Combo Fried Rice, and Red Curry. They were all tasty. The prices are not cheap, but they are on par with every other sit-down Asian restaurant we frequent (~$100 for a family of four with leftovers). The comments from other reviewers about poor service are surprising to me. All three times I have visited, I've been treated like an honored guest. We ordered one Thai tea for two sons to split. Our server split it between two smaller glasses without us even asking. They happily brought us chilis when we asked. They graciously brought us extra bowls for the Khao Soi. I truly believe that the way you treat other people is mirrored back to you. Give this little spot a try! read more

I LOVE Thai food. We just moved to the area and when I saw this restaurant a mile away, I just had to try it. I looked at the Yelp reviews - there was a mix of good and bad, so we thought we'd give it a try and went for lunch today. Our server was delightful. We ordered the green curry and Pud See Ewe. Both were awesome. The green curry came with a salad that had peanut dressing. The curry had a lot of eggplant, which I requested and was absolutely delicious. The Pud See Ewe had a ton of beef. We will definitely be going back and requesting more fat noodles with that dish. The portion size was great - we brought left-overs home. We asked for mild and got mild.
