Fourth night of the work trip and we were craving Thai. And it just so happened that this place was right across the street from our hotel. So A+ for convenience. I got the fried tofu appetizer and chicken tom yum soup. I also ordered an appetizer sampler from the table, of which I tried the pot sticker, chicken satay, and Bangkok roll. I also got to sample an eggplant from my coworker's stir fry, and my other coworker's tofu yellow curry. It was a mixed bag. The curry was watery compared to my preferred curry back home. It was also the lowest spice-level and still very spicy. Further, the Bangkok roll, pot sticker, fried tofu, and corresponding dipping sauces weren't anything memorable. The eggplant was good. Additionally, the satay and dipping sauce were delicious. The winner was my soup. Probably better than the tom yum I get at home. So salty and had a good amount of veggies and other add ins.

Phad Thai and Phad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodles) with chicken

Convenient location for Thai food. This was right next to our hotel. Simple decor, nothing overly exciting. Casual vibe. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and we were able to ask about accommodating and shellfish allergy with no issues. Very helpful. The Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mao were very good, we got chicken for both. Medium spice for the Pad Kee Mao, and hot for the Pad Thai. The hot was definitely spicy. Very good!!

While walking through Portland we stopped here for a quick, late lunch, we could smell the food as we walked past enticing us. We ordered Bangkok rolls, and Bangkok fried rice with tofu. The service was quick and friendly. We enjoyed both the rolls and the fried rice. I would highly recommend the place if you are in the area.

Mango Red Curry w/chicken & Pad Thai w/chicken

Pretty good Thai food! Came here during lunch time, and it was packed. I would recommend coming early, around 11 am when they open. I got there around 11:30 am, and by noon, it was fully packed with no open tables. I ordered the mango red curry with chicken. It was very tasty. I was also surprised that it had a good amount of mango in this dish. The only thing I did not like was that I felt rushed. I think they try to get people in and out as fast as possible to open up tables. Soon after being seated, we were asked if we were ready to order. The food and check are also brought out at the same time. And halfway through eating (we did not pause, we were still taking bites), we were asked if we needed boxes.

Customer service is so-so, but my meal was yummy. Enjoyed my Kao Soi with seafood, crab rangoons and Thai iced coffee.

Food soooo good I forgot to take a picture! We're visiting from Texas so expectations were high!…read moreAnd we were not disappointed! Starter: Field Green Salad: Sooooo delicious, a perfect summer salad, the apple, pickled shallots, coconut, and tamarind made for a beautiful marriage of flavor. Sweet and a bit sour, bright and light. White curry: 1000000/10. Absolutely perfect. Brisket Fried rice: 8/10. Great smoky flavor, rice a bit too crunchy for my liking but the smokiness reminded me of Nigerian rice so I liked it a lot! Service: Taylor was our server and she was just the cutest and most delightful person. Really made us feel seen and heard and treated us like we were family and gave us great recs for things to do. Drink: Approved By Chef-Very good and refreshing. ALSO THE MUSIC WAS INCREDIBLE! Such a good vibe. The hype is worth it. It was the perfect dinner to a perfect day in a beautiful city!

When we politely…read moreasked to move to a bigger table, the host advised that we can either go back to the waiting list or squeeze into the smaller table. We stayed, and while the food was absolutely delicious (the Massaman curry with lamb as well as fried chicken were absolutely delightful!), the portion sizes and the Thai iced tea beverages were smaller than expected. The service was prompt and accurate. Next time, we would take the food to go rather than endure unfriendly wait and seating arrangements. Food 5 stars Wait: 1 stars Service: 5 stars Portion sizes: 1 star Price: 3 stars Average: 3 stars, rounding up to 4 because the food tasted incredibly good.

5 star food with excellent service - very welcoming and knows how to upsell lol…read more Food Orderd: 1. Fried Chicken Roti Combo - holy fried chicken crispy, combo comes with 1x leg and 1x thigh cut into two pieces. Curry was delicious and balance, excellent when dipped with the crispy roti or fried chicken. Pickled veggies were a great pairing and sweet and sour added another dimension. 2. Pad Thai - glistening noodles served inside an egg omelet. Very solid pad thai - sweet, sour, salty. Don't forget to add the fresh shrimp, these were cooked perfectly and plump. I recommend the restaurant should take the shrimp tail shell off for us. 3. Thai Basil Lemonade - solid lemonade, NEED more basil flavor. Overall, I'd come here again to eat and try other items as well. I'll give it a 5 star for now but more 4.5.

Popped into Hat Yai this evening for the first time and very glad we did. The food was delicious…read moreand vibe was bustling. I'll start by saying this place is definitely not big so come with the expectation that you might have to wait for a table. There's only about 8-10 tables in the place and it's definitely geared towards smaller groups. Regardless we ordered at the front and then were able to find a seat. Wound up ordering the combo to try and get a taste of everything. The portions were solid and everything was super tasty. The chicken is perfectly breaded and delicious. It's a bit of a messy meal so just come with that in mind. Have a bunch of different options that also looked tasty. Will have to come back and try again. Service was fine. They were kind and cleared the table. Water is self serve at front of the restaurant and they clearly do a fair amount of takeout. Cool local spot to definitely check out.
