It was the highlight of my meal, and I would order it again, but I would steel myself for sweetness. I ordered the Pad Thai because it is the yardstick by which Thai restaurants are measured. A seemingly simple dish with a complex flavor profile. Let's start with the traditional sauce, usually made with tamarind pulp, fish sauce, and palm sugar. Instead, this seemed to have some sort of glucose sauce. No bueno. There also seem to be far less ingredients in this execution, resulting in a plate of noodles, fresh shrimp, ground peanuts, and a couple lime wedges. No sprouts for crunch.
