No. The orange chicken was old, taste like it was sitting under a lamp all day and possibly recooked, it was also very hard. Our go to place for Chinese food since moving! We tell everyone about it! We always order online to pick up, and everything has been packaged neatly. The staff is always nice when we arrive. Prices seem reasonable for the amount of food that you get. The crab rangoon and egg rolls are amazing! We've tried a variety of chicken and beef entrees, which have all been tasty. You can choose between white rice, fried rice, lo mein noodles, or vegetables for your side. We've tried all of them and prefer the fried rice. Definitely a spot to try for yourself! read more

I am a big fan of the chopstick house. The have a wonton soup I absolutely love. The cost is extremely ready for the amount of food you get, and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant is always clean and well lit when I arrive. There Is dining seating and waiting for your food for takeout seatig. Available. A very no nonsense come and enjoy type of atmosphere. I've heard from a ton of people on both Instagram and Yelp that Chopstick House is the Chinese takeout place to go to in Grand Rapids. I've been burned pretty bad by other Chinese takeout spots here (I'm looking at you Golden Wok) so I was excited to try a new place. For the record, my two favorite spots are First Wok and Blue Ginger, although it's been a while since I've had either. Here's what I got: Sesame chicken: Tons of flavor from the sauce and it wasn't overly sweet/sugary like a lot of other places! Some pieces of the chicken were a little bit tough/stringy. The breading was soft, not in a soggy way, it just wasn't crispy and crunchy which is what I like in my sesame chicken. Plain lo mein: The noodles were a little bit tough but otherwise these were great. Eggroll: GET THIS. I got a chicken Eggroll and it was HEAVY. They load these things to the brim. The outside had an audible crunch and the inside was a delicious mix of vegetables and chicken. Still thinking about this one. Crab Rangoon: It's the classic. We all know what it tastes like. This one is extra crispy and the filling leans more towards the cream cheese flavor. I liked it. Almond cookies (how could I not): These taste exactly like they do at every other restaurant. Sweet almond flavor with a killer crunch. Love these. The staff was absolutely lovely, the food is priced incredibly well, and although it isn't my favorite Chinese takeout spot, I'd definitely recommend it to others and will be coming back here. read more

Everything met or exceeded my expectations. This was our first visit. We arrived at about 11:30AM, were politely greeted, and placed our orders. They told us that it would be around 15-20 minutes, and that was pretty close. We both ordered lunch combinations. Mine was General Tao's Chicken, and my wife had the Chicken and Broccoli. Portion sizes were more than generous for lunch, and a very good value for the price. We chose to eat there, as they had a number of tables, and the area was very clean. Quality has really gone downhill. Last time they were randomly closed at 6pm on a Wednesday when all websites ad google said they were open. This time the kung pao was awful- I've never had it with breaded fried chicken instead of stirfried and unbreaded- either they gave us the wrong order or do it very differently. Orange chicken is hard to mess up but this was a 1 out of 5. Crab Rangoons were not good we have had a really hard time finding good Chinese food and had really liked this a few years ago, so was surprised to see that it was so much worse. only had takeout, so I'm sure the restaurant and the servers are still great, it was just a food quality that was so low. read more

My family has enjoyed the terrific food, value and service of Chopstick House for about 20 years now. The food is consistently fairly priced, extremely well prepared and delicious. They always have a courteous greet waiting for me and provide excellent service. The problem we have is that I crave their offerings daily and only allow myself to order a few times a month. Since moving back to Grand Rapids from New York I've had difficulty finding a decent Chinese Restaurant. Based on yelp reviews we thought we would try Chopstick House. They have an odd assortment of tables being mostly a takeout place, but I was glad we stayed. The Egg Rolls were so hot it took nearly 5 min to allow them to cool. The Egg Rolls had a fresh taste with the vegetables were still a little crisp. My Wife had the LoMein and I had Happy family. Again the entrees were fresh, with a light sauce and a fresh crispness . The owner moves really fast, with an amazing smile he really wants to please! So nice to find a place that's this welcoming and excellent quality to boot! read more

I haven't found a go-to Chinese take out spot since I moved to Grand Rapids a couple years ago but was very pleased with the food I got from Chopstick House so it will probably move into the restaurant rotation for me! They have a good selection on their dinner combos portion of their menu which comes with the entree (I went for chicken lo-mein and my 2 friends both got sweet and sour chicken), an egg roll, and fried rice. Super delicious and the chicken was cooked perfect! The egg roll was super delicious and I prefer white rice over fried rice but it was definitely tasty. We also got some crab rangoons which you can never go wrong with. They have really good prices here and you get a large portion of food! I had about 3 servings worth of lol mein. read more
