Over the last 15 years, I have reluctantly had food from this place a few times, as some of my family likes it. But tonight was definitively the last time. First, the panang curry did not come with rice. I've had Thai food all over the world, including in Thailand and you always get rice with a curry dish. Next, if you have a heat scale of 1-5 for the food for customers to choose from, the 5 should actually be hot ("Thai hot"); this was a 3 at best. Other family members who got a 3 said it seemed like a 1. But lastly, at the bottom of my curry, I found a butter wrapper (in the food!) and I've included the picture evidence. I'm not sure what I expected as I've never really liked this place: it's bland, inauthentic and mediocre at best. Cape Cod is the land of lobster rolls and other fresh seafood. Stick to what the area is known for and skip the Thai food. I will not be back and I hope to help others make better choices with this review. read more

Ordered takeout about 1/2 hour before closing. Pad see you rating -- 8/10 because I felt like it could've been more flavorful Dumplings -- 9/10 -- could have been crunchier but so yummy and we were late and it was takeout and I cannot take much off. We ate them all and loved the sauce too The chicken "on a stick" (satay.... But as my brothers call it) -- 10/10 because we ate it all (without sauce).. we just LOVED IT. I don't even have any photos Pineapple fried rice was so yummy 10/10 -- we ate it all quickly -- Rice was sticky and the favor was *there* Pad Thai -- 7/10 we ate it all but I did feel like it was missing some of the fish sauce flavor. Usually I'm used to it being just a little more pungent and for this reason 8/10 If I could give them a 4.5 -- this is what we kinda unilaterally agreed on but I am making it a four but it is the cape and I don't know that they are known for their Thai/Chinese food and so I do want to support this business and say it was good. Don't bother showing up within the last hour they will ignore you when you walk in, and be RUDE if you ask to take out. We walked up to order and some man server was like 'we are closed'. How are you closed if your website says you're open? Sign in front says you're open, lights on, and customers still sitting and eating inside??? LOCK THE DOORS IF UR CLOSED AND KITCHENS CLOSED. Staff can't even be nice and say we're closed, instead gave attitude because they didn't want us to order. JUST SAY NO NEXT TIME save ur money for another Thai place. read more

Excellent food. I had the Basil Duck. It was very flavorful and masterfully prepared. My wife had the pineapple rice and we had fried bananas with coconut ice cream for dessert. Despite the rude gales of winter, a cozy oasis awaits, Bangkok Thai Cuisine in Orleans! Recently dropping by for lunch, my wife and I marvelled at the warm spacious interior filled with lush plants, ample windows, and the kind servers, Santos and his helper Raju. It's also very clean. Yet rather new to Thai food, we started with a well-known appetizer, pork dumplings; and man, here Bangkok's chefs excel. A tidy plate of tender, hand-rolled dumplings flanked by a small bowl of honey soy sauce - nice! Then to whet our whistle, my wife savored a tall glass of their Sauvignon Blanc white wine and me, a petite carafe filled with hot saki wine! Wowzo, talk about "Chill be gone!" Next, off the Lunch Menu we decided on a scrumptious sauteed chicken dish in a rich dark slightly spicy sauce loaded with mushrooms, flat noodles, mini-corn and crunchy peapods; a heap of the signature brown rice was a good add-on, too. (I would've liked a tad more sauce but I think the noodles absorbed it.) Finally, we decided to heed our inner sweet tooth with the unique Fried Banana topped with Coconut Ice Cream. Chased with aromatic Jasmine tea and the classic after dinner Plum Wine, we felt miles from any ice floes or cold shoulders. Do drop in for a leisurely visit or try Take Out. A great find on a late, last minute Sunday night! DELICIOUS meals & excellent, friendly & fast service. Food was incredibly fresh. Pad Thai was perfect. Also had the stuffed Salmon. We were a little surprised, coming from the NY area, that it would even surpass the dinners near home. Apps were delicious and plentiful. Had plum wine for the first time and it was tasty! Beloved had the same soup and broccoli beef. And he had zero complaints either. The food is always good here but as a previous reviewer noted, the online system doesn't work. They said the food would be ready in a half hour and when we got there they said it would be ready in another 45 minutes. On top of that they said there was nothing they could do about reimbursement and that we could go on the online service to figure it out. This is not a critique of the food itself. We just ordered food online for pick up at the Orleans location. My husband brought it home and it was missing all the appetizers. When we call to have it taken off the bill we were informed there was nothing they could do as we ordered online. This service should NOT be available if you can not accommodate your customers if there is an error. The only solution was to drive back 15 mins each way (that means 2 trips totaling an hour) so basically by the time he got back the meal was cold Food tasty, small portions. Had to do a follow up as here it is all these years later and Bangkok has held steady at 5 stars. You drive around Orleans during the summer and every single restaurant has a 45 minute wait. And most of them have mediocre food. You come to the Thai restaurant here and it's huge. It's quiet, the food is great and there's no wait. The wine list is amazing. Nothing costs more than $30. You can have a bottle of really solid wine for 30 bucks and it's the most expensive wine on the menu. The food is so yummy. Lots of great duck dishes. Soft shell crab. The ambience is really nice and chill. The waiters are so sweet and nice. And the food is really really terrific. I know you all want your lobster roll. But get it during the day and then chill out with a quiet restaurant and cheap drinks and great Thai food at night read more

I had no expectations of Thai food in this little town. But I was blown away. I had the best Pad Thai I remember eating. I can't vouch for if it was authentic or not because I wouldn't know other than i order pad Thai often and eat thai food every where i go. Nice to have a change of taste at MA because most of the food at MA is American (chips, burgers, lobster roll). It is a big restaurant with full glass window on one side. We ordered green curry chicken, flat noodles with shrimp, chicken satay, tod mun (fishcakes) and they all came out delicious. Price is reasonable. I highly recommended if you want a change from American foods at MA. We stayed at Brewster. Hence, Orleans is only about 15 to 20 mins away from Brewster. Food was FINE for a Thai restaurant in the middle of white washed Cape Cod (expectations are never high for international cuisine located within seasonal vacation spots...). What isn't fine is not including rice with non noodle dishes. I've NEVER heard of such a thing. The $1.50 charge for a tiny bowl of white rice was just too tacky for my taste. Lastly, I don't know if they read the lower rated reviews about service and are trying something new but they are focusing on the wrong aspects. Everything was TOO FAST. The food came out scary quick and the constant asking from VARIOUS servers if plates were done made it a very uncomfortable experience. Fabulous Thai food in Orleans! We missed lunch and it was Sunday heading back to Cambridge from the Cape on a late October day. We were ravenous. Where to go? Yelps "open now" filter let us down as it doesn't seem to take into account seasonal openings and closings. After bombing out at the knack, we headed further down the highway and found Bangkok Thai cuisine. I'm sitting at the table with a full belly dictating this review and my husband said: "it's a fabulous lifesaver that's what it is - and a price performer as well." The food was really thoughtfully prepared and very fresh. I had pad see yu with tofu, and it was full of wonderful wide noodles, crunchy broccoli, and a huge variety of other vegetables with nicely diced scallions. Absolutely delicious. My husband had chicken cashew nut and loved it as well. Lots of cashews, wonderful sauce and sliced white meat chicken. We both had glasses of Chardonnay and they came very full and very cold.
