Food was fair at best - lacking in flavor and spice. - need to find a better alternative

The location is nice. It's away from the Hub Bub of Main Street in a small strip mall off of RTE 132 on Enterprise Rd between the KMart shopping strip & Independence Mall (Kohls, Home Depot, BBB, etc) The interior is nice. It used to be the Naked Oyster many moons ago so they inherited good interior furnishings. Dark wood & great track lighting with a nice intimate bar area. I was immediately greeted by the a friendly soft spoken hostess. I was dining early-ish 5:30 pm on a Wed. so only one other couple in the restaurant. She graciously seated me & kindly handed me a menu. I ordered a Singha beer & it was whisked back to the table frosty cold with a glass. I reviewed the menu & decided to go with an old standby as an appetizer: Todd Mun. These are minced chicken, shrimp, scallions & spices in half dollar size & quickly deep fried. I normally LUV these but I wasn't really crazy about these. They were extremely bland like they had been frozen which was too bad. I decided to go with the Thai Spaghetti which I never see on Thai menus. It wasn't what I expected. It was really a sweet & sour fettuccine like noodle dish with chicken, shrimp, sautéed red, green peppers, basil, scallion, tomatoes, & onions. It was solidly good but I am not a fan of Sweet & Sour anything so I wasn't crazy about it. The shrimp were a bit dry which was a bit of a bummer. I definitely will have to come back & try this place again & try other menu items. Maybe some of the soups, green papaya salad, Laarb, crispy spring rolls, or dumplings for appetizers. And maybe the Thai Chix Green Curry, PadWoon Sen, Chix Basil Chili dishes. I luv all of those bc I luv spicy & savory dishes particularly chili, basil & cilantro. Anyway, to be fair, I will definitely give this place another shot. read more

They got their noodle dishes down! They were delicious. We also ordered fried banana with coconut ice cream which was so yummy! We liked it so much we went back again for dinner the next day. We thought menu was reasonably priced. HOWEVER, next night we returned it was way more expensive and couldn't understand why. COVID: Take out only. Dine-in prohibited. Front door is on the side of the building. Tip: if you are using Yelp note that Restaurant's website link to menu and Yelp's quickview menu show two very different price ranges for the food. Ex. Fried banana with ice cream was 7.95 on restaurant's website menu but on yelp's menu it was priced at 4.95.... same dessert though. Also didn't expect peanuts in my ginger ice cream. Excellent Pad Thai and fried rice dishes, good size portions and my husband with Celiac has not been glutened in the couple of times we've gotten carry out so far. Very nice online ordering, and it's always readying when we get there and the staff is great. We haven't dined-in yet, looking forward to doing so someday, since the house is pleasant looking, kind of modern and but cozy. Parking lot seems to usually have spaces, which makes it easy to do pick ups. read more

Sigh... The restaurant is very nice. I like the interior. It has major potential. Sadly it fell flat. Our party ordered a couple appetizers but they came out 20 minutes apart. The chicken satay was delicious though and the tofu triangles were fine. The entrees arrived staggered with one person left waiting a lot longer for their food. The spicy entrees were absolutely not spicy at all. The kra pow was way too oily and a little heavy on the fish sauce base. The hot basil was bland. Exceptional. This would describe almost every aspect of our dinner at Bangkok Thai cuisine. I'm surprised that it doesn't get more foot traffic, because the food is fantastic, with even better service. It's probably the top customer service experience I've ever received in a restaurant setting that wasn't a cruise. Even more amazing is the fact that the entire restaurant is taken care of by two of the nicest, amiable, caring wait staff I've ever had the pleasure of being served by. They are attentive, extremely polite, and take care of you at every step. Coming from New York, we're very familiar with authentic Thai cuisine. This was definitely on par. The Tom Yum and Tom Ka soups were excellent and nicely spiced. The Mango smoothie I ordered was flavorful and very large/filling. The basil fried rice with shrimp was the best part of the meal. Large portions, extremely flavorful. Definitely one of the better fried rice dishes I've had. The spicy string beans with shrimp was on point, as was the Pad Kee Mow. The only knock I had on the entire meal was the green curry with chicken. It was made with pineapple. I really don't like fruit mixed with meat, but that's a personal preference so I don't want to bash them for that. The rest of the food was fantastic. Again, if you're looking for a change of pace from the traditional seafood shacks and new american restaurants in Hyannis, I would wholeheartedly recommend this place. Cape Cod is three for three on Thai food in the past few weeks. The setting of this Bangkok Thai is a bit more upscale than either of the other Thai places in Hyannis. It's in the former home of the Naked Oyster, which occupied the spot for years. The bar is still set up the same. The food was excellent, and prices on par with other Thai spots. We had the special salad: Green Papaya Salad with Seafood. There were a few pieces of shrimp and squid in a delectable yet quite spicy marinade. The steamed dumplings were essentially the same as steamed Japanese-style gyoza and just as yummy. The Penang curry was quite spicy as well, which was fine for us, but some might be advised to specify when ordering, since we weren't asked about preference. read more

Tiny place with amazing food! Stopped by around 1pm on a Friday with 2 of my friends, and it was pretty full. Only had to wait a few minutes and once we ordered, food started coming out fast. We're from NYC where there are a gazillion Thai restaurants, but this was better than any we've tried. Who knew? Everything was perfectly cooked, super fresh, and full of flavor. The filling of the crab rangoon was ridiculously good, summer rolls were on point, and the satay was super tender. For entrees, the hot basil was a standout and the noodles were soooo good. Excellent and consistent Thai food. I ate delivery from the restaurant and then a year later visited the restaurant itself and the food was very consistent. Atmosphere at the restaurant is very clean and nice and belies the slightly dirty exterior. The only complaint is the quality of the chicken used for the chicken satay could be slightly better. It is stewing chicken (often used in restaurants like this for economical reasons) and was too chewy. The pad see ew with chicken and the wonton soup was very good. read more

Great place for lunch during the week. Lunch specials are very good and a great value. Place is always immaculate and that's important to me. Also very nice to be able to get brown rice as a substitute. Service is that perfect balance of welcoming/attentive without being intrusive. This is a very welcome addition to the Cape- unable to find decent Asian food for over 30 years. I even was a waitress in a bad Chinese place in 1985 so I know what I am talking about! The crab rolls & chicken satay were excellent. The pad Thai was also really good one of best I have had & I live most of year in Southern California now with very good Thai food. If you are vegetarian, the Pad See You with tofu was super. Orange chicken was not really what I expected ( not like the Chinese version) but was tasty.Crispy rolls also quite good. While the menu is extensive don't get your heart set in something since they don't have all the things every night. Maybe due to Covid. We did takeout since I think they are unable to do indoor yet & it was really busy- a bit chaotic but then someone came out from kitchen & was able to straighten out the orders . So it might take longer if you order at peak dinner time but it's worth the wait & you have to cut these restaurants some slack during these times. The delay & the menu issues were the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. I will definitely be back. read more
