    Tidal wave Roll

Oh my god. This was hands down the most unbelievable, unexpected and best sushi we ever had. Ten Yen is off the charts amazing. So long story short. My wife wanted sushi. We found this place. We showed up. Small restaurants no seats available. We decided to wait to see if there 7:15 reservation was going to be a no show and bam, 2 seats came available at the sushi bar. Ok so the menu is small, but the food and presentation are huge. We started with the shrimp and garlic shumai and crispy sticky chicken. The shumai were Light, fresh flavorful like bites of heaven. They were so good we ordered a second order. The crispy sticky chicken were so flavorful and perfectly cook little pieces of pure delight. Amazing presentation to add to it. So then we heard the owner tell someone the specials, one of which was a scallop chowder. We decided to order a bowl. So far, just like everything else, it was the best chowder we have eaten. Loaded with scallops in a silky cream broth. We were just wowed!!!! Then we ordered the double dragon maki and Tidal wave roll. Both were beyond fresh. The sushi was ice cold, the vegetables were crisp and the rice they make tasted like nothing I have had before. The best sushi rice I have tasted. To finish it if we had a piece of Maguro and Chutoro nigiri. I know I keep saying this, but the freshest and best tasting sushi we have ever had. The owner who I believe his name was Mike, took the place one notch high with his knowledge and skills. For such a small place the atmosphere and ambiance was high because of his personality and skills. 100% coming back to Cape Cod (Orleans) just so we can come here again. Sorry there are not more pictures. We were so amazed at the food and watching the owner prepare it, I forgot to take more pictures. We then ordered the

Fantastic first day of Ten Yen dining in at their new location! We had a truly enjoyable experience in a intimate environment: seated at the bar, enjoying delicious sake, and chatting with the chef. We had the nigiri sampler and brussel sprouts which was the perfect amount of food. The brussel sprouts had a nice spin with chestnuts and a cooling side of yogurt. The nigiri sampler was well done. Each cut of fish was fresh and beautifully presented. The rice was well seasoned and cooked. My personal favorites were the scallop and the yellowtail. I also liked how the first course of the sampler was a tar tar and the last was a handroll- nice bit of variety. Overall would strongly recommend and return. Make sure you make a reservation as there aren't many spots and they go fast!

An outstanding addition to the dinner options in Orleans! The entire Ten Yen experience is wonderful. The cocktails are reason enough to bust, both taste and presentation are excellent. The sushi and rolls are wonderful. The other plates are also delicious. Start your meal with a cup of Miso soup. The room is small, try to make a reservation.

Wow - Ten Yen was incredible! The ambience, staff, drinks, and food we incredible. The Mai Tai is a must try for cocktails. We started with the Hoisin Chicken Bao Buns and General Tso Ribs - both were very tasty. The ribs are a heftier appetizer than the bao buns. For our entrées, we split 3 rolls and they were all super fresh with amazing flavors. The Blacksmith roll was my favorite.

Just what Orleans needs! You will not be disappointed by the quality, and atmosphere of Ten Yen. Reservation First, it is recommended one must make a reservation online, which keeps the quantity of people just right in the restaurant, being a restaurant that is mostly reservations removes the disturbance of walk in people. This keeps the Immersive experience of the restaurant with little disturbance. Also being a decent size restaurant Drinks As someone who is not a sake person, the Okunomatsu Ginjo sake was one of the smoothest sakes that I drank. On the menu it says the Okunomatsu Ginjo is Complex, lively aromas and a silky, light body. Smooth finish and refreshing aftertaste. $25/10oz bottle. And that it was! Exceptionally smooth and lively! Appetizer The craftsmanship of the appetizers were remarkable. The quality of the appetizers were impeccable. For an appetizer I had the Yellowtail Carpaccio, which is yellowtail sashimi, jalapeno, scallion, yuzu, ponzu sauce cost 21 dollars. Th jalapeño added a vibrant flavor to the dish. Main For my main dish I had The Blacksmith, which is tempura shrimp roll topped with seared bluefin tuna, tempura flakes, kimchi mayo, jalapeno cost 25 dollars. Again, outstanding flavor, so vibrant, and lively with the added jalapeño! Overall Outstanding and delicious restaurant! Highly recommend it!

The food is always delicious and never makes you feel over full or sick. The quality of the vegetables is amazing and the service is just as good. First, the panang curry did not come with rice. I've had Thai food all over the world, including in Thailand and you always get rice with a curry dish. Next, if you have a heat scale of 1-5 for the food for customers to choose from, the 5 should actually be hot ("Thai hot"); this was a 3 at best. Other family members who got a 3 said it seemed like a 1. But lastly, at the bottom of my curry, I found a butter wrapper (in the food!) and I've included the picture evidence. I'm not sure what I expected as I've never really liked this place: it's bland, inauthentic and mediocre at best. Cape Cod is the land of lobster rolls and other fresh seafood. Stick to what the area is known for and skip the Thai food. I will not be back and I hope to help others make better choices with this review.

We were able to make a reservation a few hours before we got there and were seated right away. Our table ordered a variety of dishes; for apps we had calamari and chicken wings (crispy and with a delish garlic/parmesan/cilantro sauce) that we also dipped our table bread in. For entrees, we had the star of the show, the mocajete dish, steak tips, chicken caprese dish, chicken parm dishes, scallops w/pasta and salmon and risotto dishes. All were delicious and devoured. The service was good and tap water taste a little different, not sure if that's a Cape Cod thing. The entrees did seem to take a little long to come out and not all at the same time. All in all, everyone was happy with their dish. Highly recommend this place.

I did takeout here when it was still the pandemic days. The lobster and clams linguine was generously portioned with a full lobster, lots of clams, and an abundance of linguini. The fisherman's stew was chock full of fish and other seafood, with a flavorful and briny broth. I came here for in-person dining recently and it seemed like the portions were smaller than before I suppose it's shrinkflation but not the most pleasant. The shrimp scampi was fine but nothing to write home about. I think the best part was the pasta, which was homemade. The seafood bowl special had scallops on the half-shell but they were definitely bay scallops, which was disappointing. Service was prompt and friendly. The restaurant is not a bad choice but if you're here on vacay, you can (and should) find something better.
