Tonight, we tried Bangkok Thai Exp due to the high ratings. They let you seat yourself in the very limited seating area (3 booths). The initial impression is that the place is clean. Upon sitting, we were immediately seated. Their menu has plenty of choices. I ordered the garlic chicken and egg rolls (4 to an order). My better half got the Basil Chicken. Her basil chicken was delicious and plenty on the quantity as well! The basil didn't overpower the dish but delivered a perfect amount of minty basil flavor. My garlic chicken was crispy, and maybe a little dry but the flavor was great. The garlic was great in the chicken... but fantastic in the broccoli and veggies'. The only thing I would ding them on is that the garlic chicken quantity seemed skimpy compared to hers. The egg rolls were awesome and their sweet and sour had a little no heat spice to it!!! Yum! Overall, we liked the food. I'd give hers 5 stars and mine 4. One thing I almost dinged them to 3 stars (my average), was that the small dining area froze every time the door opened. I just have to rave about this Penang Curry with Tofu. It is SOO good. I got the lunch special which is enough to split into two meals for me. I got it with mild spice and it's the perfect amount of spice. All around perfect! I've ordered from here several times and I pretty much have loved everything I've had so far. Going in here the first time, it looked kind of like a crappy Asian fusion. It was thankfully better than it looked. @Bangkok is actually pretty okay to be honest. For sure it's not authentic, but don't hold that against it. The thing to hold against them is small portions at high prices. After wanting to go somewhere else that was closed, we came here. It's a small dining area, but there was plenty of space because it wasn't even busy at lunch. The menu has an overall Thai fusion kind of theme. It's about $6 for a tea, and we got a couple. These can be made with almond milk. Matcha Green Tea is the best. The food has choices for those not eating meat. Good choices. I had the Cashew Tofu. It's about $12, which is a lot for the small portion, so you don't get your money's worth. As it was, it had some good flavor. There was chili paste, along with lots of vegetables including carrots and onions. Good flavor. She had the Sweet And Sour Tofu. This had bell peppers, pineapple, and tomatoes. Food has good flavor. We ordered from here on Uber eats by mistake thinking it was another location, but we were so pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing and tasty. One of the best pad thai dishes I have had (top 3). The pad Thai has more of a tomato based taste than the usual savory, sweet taste I'm used too. The Avocado boba was very bad. This is my absolute favorite go to Thai restaurant! Everything is delicious! I just got back from Thailand two days ago, and I am headed to Bangkok Thai Express because I'm having withdrawals! This is so authentic! Portions are great and Chat the manager is kind friendly and so much fun to talk to! Amazing. It's my first time ever trying Thai but I was not disappointed - if I had to find one negative it would be the cost. I got 4 meals and it was $80! Granted we had it delivered, which was a bonus because no one felt like going anywhere, but they arrived quickly. Decent menu and fair prices. Penang Curry with Shrimp (second lowest level of heat) was almost too spicy. The curry was a bit watery but the flavor was decent. Only four shrimp in the entire curry. The veggie pad thai with a side of peanut sauce was delicious but was not a typical pad thai. Serving size of both dishes was as expected. Restaurant is predominantly pickup but they have a few tables if you care to eat in. Delicious! My husband and I were recently first-time diners. We got takeout from here for our anniversary. (Really exciting anniversary, I know, but we're old marrieds.) Anyway, when I picked it up, I noticed they have a few tables, if you want to dine in. The young woman who took my order was cheerful and pleasant, and made me feel welcome.
