Absolutely insanely rude staff. The woman working the front needs to be replaced or given a course in customer service. This place closes at 8:30, right? So, we walk in, starving, at 7:51. You'd think that would give us 39 minutes to eat. Nope! She starts rolling her eyes and muttering under her breath, and told us that we had to order right away. We ordered appetizers and then she told us we couldn't order anything else. "Our kitchen wants to go home" or something along those lines. The appetizers were fine, but I've never been rushed out of a place before they even close. The lady was so nasty!

Met a friend for lunch here. At noon on a Friday they were busy but it wasn't crazy. Service was fine, not rude but not overly friendly either. It's not an upscale place to take anyone to impress them but the food was solid. I ordered tofu pad Thai and a Thai iced tea (same thing I always order at a new place). Tasted yummy but needed heat (for me!). Had enough left to take some to go for lunch the next day! I would go back.

First time here. I ordered spicy papaya salad and medium spicy beef salad. Nothing is spicy at all. Not a damn chili on these foods. Beef salad tastes like fried beef in syrup Disappointed.

Unfortunately, that standard has declined noticeably, and the difference is hard to ignore. What was once vibrant, well-executed cuisine now feels uninspired and inconsistent. The dishes lack the depth of flavor they once had, coming across as bland or carelessly prepared rather than thoughtfully crafted. Portions feel less generous, yet prices have continued to climb, creating a frustrating imbalance between cost and value. It no longer feels like a premium dining experience--just an expensive one. Equally disappointing is the overall execution. The attention to detail that once set this place apart seems to have faded, replaced by a more rushed and indifferent approach. Whether it's the presentation, the freshness, or the cohesion of flavors, something is clearly missing. It's genuinely frustrating because this was once a standout spot--somewhere you could confidently recommend without hesitation. Now, it feels like a shadow of what it used to be, riding on its past reputation while delivering a subpar experience at an inflated price. For what you're paying, there are far better options elsewhere.

I ordered the special pho (#19), which comes with thinly sliced rare steak, brisket, tendon, tripe, cilantro, and onions. I also got the BBQ pork banh mi. The pho was pretty solid. However, I was disappointed with the banh mi. It looked quite different from the menu photo, which, of course, I understand that menu items are created to look their best and don't always come out the same, but this sandwich ended up looking more like a carrot sandwich, and I'm not a fan of carrots. There was only a thin slice of BBQ pork, and the bread was too doughy. The proportions felt off overall, and it was honestly my least favorite banh mi I've tried. I took a bite and ended up giving the rest to a friend who took it home. If I'm in the area, I'd come back for the pho.

Portions here are generous -- most mains are easily enough for two people, so it works really well if you're sharing across the table. For the amount of food you're getting, pricing felt very reasonable (around $20-30 per person when sharing), which makes it a strong value spot in the suburbs. It's also on Resy, so if you have an Amex Platinum or Gold card, you can use your dining credit here.
