Got some pretty great Thai food from this restaurant in Hoffman Estates. It may be yet another one of those restaurants in a strip mall but it's actually good to be honest. Jaded Thai is one of the many such Asian restaurants in this same area which is just kind of weird. For sure makes it hard to choose. They have the classics along with some more interesting looking selections. Coming at lunch it actually wasn't that busy. It's not exactly a good sign. Thankfully it turned out to be mostly great thankfully. Has a lot of the familiar items. There's all the usual things like Pad Thai. It's about $11 for a lunch entree. This is weekdays. A great way to get a value out of it. I got the Pad Woon Sen. A pretty typical looking one. This is stir fried bean thread noodles with broccoli, cabbage, carrots, eggs, and pea pods. Got it vegan without eggs. There was a light spiciness but pretty mild to be honest. Has a lot of the usual things as far as Thai food goes. It's now open daily even Sundays. Absolutely insanely rude staff. The woman working the front needs to be replaced or given a course in customer service. This place closes at 8:30, right? So, we walk in, starving, at 7:51. You'd think that would give us 39 minutes to eat. Nope! She starts rolling her eyes and muttering under her breath, and told us that we had to order right away. We ordered appetizers and then she told us we couldn't order anything else. "Our kitchen wants to go home" or something along those lines. Food is still good, but dine in service is not. It's more of a takeaway spot, as the focus shifted to people coming in to pick up their orders versus serving those seated at tables. The veggie egg rolls are now the size of your pinky, and the wontons are not as stuffed as they used to be. For the price of these appetizers, it's best to go for the entries. We always get the Tom Kha soup here, but for some reason they were out of this staple. We were told it would take too long to make. New ownership and staff changed, and so has the food. First off, they need to hire more people. When they're busy, they turn off their online ordering and don't answer the phone. The food quality and flavor is not the same. Some items like the tum yum have added sugar and it's off putting. I specifically asked for not spicy on the basil beef, and although the server ensured me that it wasn't spicy, my child couldn't eat it. It was takeout so we couldn't have it replaced. The food at Jaded Thai has an incredible. I have been coming here since before I could remember and have been here well over 100 times. It's exactly the same and delicious. I will continue to keep coming here for years to come. I have tried other Thai restaurants and none of them compair. I LOVE Thai food and Chinese can kiss my butt. You MUST come here. It's been sad to see the amount of customers declining over the years. I've never understood it because the food is so good. Please come here and boost their business back to the levels they were at when I was a kid. We don't order takeout very often but decided to get 2 meals and "splurge" on a fried rice entree, When I got home with the order, there was no white rice that should have come with each of the 2 meals. Also, there were no implements to eat with - forks or chopsticks. The food in quality and quantity and service have gone downhill since new ownership has taken over. It has been one of our favorite, go-to places in the neighborhood, but now will think twice to order from here. We were looking for a Thai place that was closer to our house than our current favorite, so we chose Jaded Thai. The food was ready in line with the time estimate we were given. What we ended up with was a tasty meal for a reasonable price. We definitely got a "family owned" vibe, and we were excited to be able to support a local small business. Itsy first time eating Thai food and it is also my first time coming to this restaurant. There are few people so there are a lot of vacant tables and chairs to sit. I forgot to tell but I'm with my sister. They have a lot of dishes on their menu. And it's hard to choose since we have no idea what to eat. My neighbors told me this place has recently changed owners so they highly recommended it. We got takeout from here and everything was delicious. I had the pad Thai - so yummy. The lunch specials are a great value - there was enough food for lunch two days in a row! They are very generous with how much meat they include too. In addition to your chosen entree, you also get an appetizer that changes daily. Ours on a Monday was a veggie eggroll which was more like a crispy spring roll with a sweet sauce, but still good. We also enjoyed our entrees - Pad Se Ew for me and Pad Thai for my husband. It's too bad this place is so far from where we live as we'd probably frequent it often. read more

AMBIANCE They have redecorated a little bit, but otherwise hasn't changed too much... it's still in the strip mall, left of the PNC branch on the corner. SERVICE Would have to say that the service on this last visit (Friday right after getting off the train) was amazing. Granted, there weren't more than 5 tables filled, but it was very attentive... I dropped one chopstick and she brought a new one before it hit the floor. FOOD Ordered Tofu Pad Siew, which I asked to be more dry then soggy... and the noodles were perfect. Flavor without extra pool of sauce, tender but not overdone, and the broccoli was bright green, cooked to be almost al dente, but perfectly tender. SO good, aaand gone... in 10 min.... The Jaded Delight is decent... and worked well for lunch on Sat. If you haven't been back here in awhile, go back, or get some takeout. This place is really a hidden gem. read more

Excellent place for trying Thai food. I took away one star for the dine-in service and ambiance. It's completely family-owned, while the food and quality are good, the service can be a lot better. If you can avoid dining-in great to-go/takeout place for Thai food near northwest suburbs. I will continue to try their takeouts and their lunch specials are incredible. Jaded Thai Noodles with chicken $8 - The peanut penang sauce is so good & comes in a separate little dish for to go! It's not too peanut-y and has just enough of a kick of spice. The wide egg noodles are where it's at in this dish. I never use all of the sauce and end up using the leftovers on chicken of my own. Double whammy! Pad Thai with tofu $7.50- So good! The sauce is perfection and the whole dish is just amazing! Big portion! I like to think of myself as a pad thai specialist and this has the perfect combination of flavor and freshness. I make special requests and they are really good about accommodating whatever I need. I would actually like to give this place 3.5 stars but since it's whole numbers only, I'll round up.... 4 stars for the cleanliness and organization, fast and friendly service, great tasting food and half star for value. The dishes were literally good for 1 person (a skinny to average one). The portions are actually for a person counting calories because it's half of what i would usually eat but then again I'm a big girl in a small to medium frame body. Here are the dishes we had: PANANG CRISPY NOODLES $12 crispy thick deep fried noodles with PANANG (curry) chicken on top. Delish!!!! JADED THAI FRIED RICE $11 curry fried rice with 4 jumbo shrimp and imitation crab meat. Very good dish and a meal on its own. RED CURRY THAI CHICKEN $12 I wish the sauce was thicker but it was really good. A perfect amalgam of sweet and spicy in coconut base. Very good!
