Was craving some thai food and saw this spot had good ratings. For the price and portion, this place is really fair. We got the Laarb Beef, which was tasty and you could taste the roasted rice powder. Tom Kha soup was delicious, just the right amount of tang and coconut milk. Pad See Ew was amazing, no adjustments needed. Roasted Chili Fried Rice was also yummy, no adjustments necessary. Crispy Basil Catcish was good flavor, but the fish was fried until it was chewy/dry so there's definitely improvement for that dish. Panaag Curry was good but felt like the coconut milk watered down the taste. For dessert, we got the Mango Sticky Rice, sticky rice was cooked well, mango was a bit sour. Service was great! Staff was nice and she even made us the thai chili/fish sauce on the side, which is a thai staple. Ambiance is average. Ever since our go-to Thai place closed down, we've been searching for a new favorite spot--and I think we finally found a winner. We've been here a few times now and have never left disappointed. Our absolute favorites are the Pad See Ew and the Panang curry. The Pad See Ew is so good we actually have to order two, otherwise it disappears before you know it! The Panang curry is pure comfort food and pairs perfectly with rice. Shout out to the owner, Jay, who is always so kind and welcoming. The kitchen accidentally got one of our orders wrong during a visit, and he immediately comped the dish. Amazing food and stellar service--we're so glad we found this place! read more

I went on a Friday night at 8:45pm. Not busy, about 20 tables? I was seated right away and looked over the drink and food menu. Drinks were on not in the menu but on the table. They offered soda, beer, wine, cocktails, Thai iced tea or coffee. Thai iced tea was good, not too sweet but a lot of ice. I ordered the tom kha soup. At some places it comes with white rice of the side, but this place it didn't. There was a note online saying everything extra comes with a charge. No problem ! It was creamy. Had great flavor. The onions could've been chopped smaller to fit on the spoon and in a mouth. Seafood option was good. It came with calamari (2), shrimp (2), scallop (1) tomato's mushrooms cilantro and the onions. Not too salty or spicy. Perfect. Pad Thai had more sauce then some places, if was a bit salty. I ordered with no peanuts, thankfully I'm not allergic because there were still peanuts in it. The noodles were good. Chicken was okay. Pretty normal. Slightly dry? I've had better pad Thai's than this one. The restaurant was cute, it had good decoration, and a bar. They collected dishes behind a wall that was close to the dining area so it was loud at times. Not an ideal spot. Didn't use the bathroom so I don't know the cleanliness. Server was respectful, nothing crazy. Just took the order and asked how everything was maybe 15 minutes after the food arrived. Should be done earlier than that, coming from a past server. We went to celebrate the birthday party. We made reservation ahead of time. Our table was reserved. No delays in seating us. The place was very busy but not noisy. That's a good thing. The food was amazing. We ordered a papaya salad, which is worth a try. Can't beat that. we tried Tofu satay, which was great the cucumbers and the peanut sauce homemade and nice. Tom yum Soup with vegetables, it was on sweeter side, which I have never had, but the overall taste was good. Serving time for the appetizers and the soup was slow, but the dinner came very fast. I've ordered the mango sticky rice here for takeout before, and it's always been really good, which is why this experience was disappointing. My mom went in to place a takeout order and asked for the mango sticky rice, but the young employee only heard "sticky rice," so that's what she was given. We didn't realize the mistake until we got home, which is about a 35 minute drive away. My mom called the store right away, and the employee who answered the phone said the young employee who took her order had simply heard her wrong. While I understand mistakes happen, it was disappointing that nothing was offered to help make it right or accommodate the situation. The food is usually great, but I hope the staff takes a moment to confirm orders and does a better job handling situations like this in the future. read more

I had lunch here with a group of 3 during a weekend and everything about it was great. The restaurant is mainly red with accent art pieces. It also has a nice photo op spot by the front counter. Service was fairly fast even with it being prime lunch time. It took awhile for staff to get to our table at times but the food came out within ~15 mins after ordering. I started out with tom yum soup (tofu). This sour/sweet soup is full of veggies and was delicious. It is packed with flavor and is my favorite tom yum soup of all time. Next my table shared the panang curry (chicken), pad thai (chicken) and lime chicken. I would order the lime chicken and panang curry again. I wasn't impressed with the pad thai. It wasn't bad, just wanted there for me - I felt as if it was missing something with its flavor. Tip - make sure to squeeze the fresh lime on top of the lime chicken. What an amazing Thai restaurant! Our waitress was exceptional. She was helpful and very kind. The food was delicious. We ordered the pot stickers and egg rolls for our appetizers. The pot stickers were extra crispy- loved that! For dinner, I ordered the pad kee mao with chicken. We also ordered the house fried rice to share. Everything was cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The portions were nice and big! My boyfriend ordered the pad see ew with shrimp and the pieces of shrimp were huge. We ordered Thai iced teas and they were phenomenal. They're served in mason jars so you get a good amount. The atmosphere is super relaxing - it's a cute little place! It has been a while since we visited this restaurant. It is a bit out of our way, but we thought to venture here for a Friday dinner. This restaurant is nestled in a street mall at the bend of Schaumburg road. In addition to the standard menu, we were also presented with three new items. So we opted for the Tom Yum Noodle Soup (from new items) and Pad See Ew prepared Gluten Free (that's not specified on the menu, but we asked). The Tom Yum Noodle Soup came in a hot pot with thin egg noodle (which in my opinion paired quite well with the Tom Yam soup). It also had generous amount of ground chicken meat, shrimp, bean sprout, and fried wonton skin to add to some crispiness. The Pad See Ew was flavorful with a balanced amount of chicken and vegetables. The glass noodle was covered with just about right amount of sauces. I really wanted to like this restaurant/carry-out. The prices are reasonable and the pictures of the food on the menu looked very good. The portions were generous, but, sadly the bright, fresh tastes that I expect with Thai food were just not there. No fresh herbs, lemon grass, galangal, etc. The pad se ew and sesame chicken were stodgy and over cooked. The fried appetizers were bland and not helped with the overly sweet sauces that accompanied them. The shrimp in the spring rolls had turned and the dish had to be thrown out uneaten. My husband and I had a taste for Thai food. This restaurant is so close to our house we could walk here if we wanted to. But that is not why we come here, we come here because they have the best Thai food around! We pulled in the parking lot and the lot was full. When we walked in every table was full and three people were waiting to pickup their orders. The lights are dim and there is paper on the tables. There is music lightly playing in the background. It is the perfect place to take a date or celebrate a birthday or Anniversary. The ladies working here are very friendly and you can tell they love their jobs. As soon as someone is finished and leave the restaurant they clean off the table and are ready ASAP sitting waiting customers. They don't rush anyone out but are very attentive to when someone does leave. Which I love. Our 20 minute wait was only 5 minutes... Yippee I ordered the lime chicken because I really love lime and it sounds yummy. It was so delicious and a huge portion size. I think I found my new favorite menu item! I still need to try the new noodle soup. It looks amazing as well! My husband ordered the Crabmeat fried rice with green onions instead of white onions. That is his favorite and orders it pretty much everytime we eat here. If you have not dined here and are looking for something new and fun, give this place a try... you won't be disappointed... and make sure you save room and try the mango with sticky rice... So I am reviewing the Geneva location. We stopped in and found this is a carry out only restaurant. So we ordered Tom Kha soup with Chicken extra Hot and Basil Beef Hot. The Tom Kha was amazing some of the best we have ever tasted . The Basil Beef was excellent with generous portions of steak and vegetables. We have returned two more times. First time eating at Thai Siri. We traveled 35 minutes from Aurora to visit. We were enthusiastically greeted and seated immediately. We're offered an extensive Thai menu. We ordered Tom Ka Kai (chicken coconut soup), Mer Krob with Shrimp (crispy rice noodle with vegetables and tamarin gravy), and Green Vegetable Curry. Flavors were nicely balanced, exceptionally good, and full bodied. Spice level is just what we requested. Vegetables were nice, chunky, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Shrimp was plump and succulent. Wait staff and manager were very attentive and helpful. We were served on real china plates and bowls; no plastic. Bottled water and fortune cookies were complimentary. We will definitely return to try other menu items. We think this is one of the best Thai restaurants in the Fox Valley area (from our experiences with over a dozen Thai restaurants). read more

We've been faithful, frequent customers for many years. Food is generally good and a decent price. This past weekend eight of us went to eat here. Excited because we brought one of our nephews for his favorite dessert (that was not good at all this time or the last time we were here), got to bring a sister from out of town, and brought a brother and sister in law for their first time. Everyone ordered too many appetizers, a full meal and 5 desserts and a few drinks. Paid the bill and gave what we thought was a 25% tip to our favorite waitress. Never looked at the bill, our mistake. Got home and a while later, got a call from the restaurant saying they forgot to charge us for the desserts. The owner made the waitress call to collect. I asked if there was a tip already in the bill and she said yes. She knew we didn't look or realize that since we don't usually go with that many people. I asked her to take that tip amount off the dessert amount (since we tipped what was actually 30%). She did and I paid that no problem. And the tip worked out to being 20% so the waitress was taken care of. My problem is that the owner (who I'm not even sure if he is Thai), a coward, didn't make the call himself. Made her do it. A coward who lost good customers rather than comp a few crappy slices of mango and a few cents worth of rice. And the last 3 times we ate there, we all ended up feeling sick for a few hours after anyway so I think the quality of the food has been getting worse. I guess the upside of this is that now I get to find a new Thai restaurant. read more

Well was craving for Thai cuisine. Originally, I would go back to Chicago from work since this was close to my work. The ambience was usually nice for Thai decor. Food was unusually okay. The chicken tom kha soup in small size as appetizer was delicious however I don't remember or don't think they put onion slices in tom kha soup? Nevertheless it tasted authentic with the coconut milk some lemongrass and basil. They even made it really spicy which most Thai restaurants don't do. The green curry that I ordered in chicken and hot spicy was delicious. Their version was a bit more creamy almost like an Indian curry versus more watery that most Thai restaurants prepare their curry dishes using coconut milk. The Thai iced tea that I ordered was also okay good but the portion for it to me was a bit overpriced for $5.50 and not as sweet than most Thai iced tea. I was going to order a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream which is a limited time but it's too expensive and they told me it was a small dessert. Especially $12.95 for a chocolate lava cake and vanilla ice cream. That's too expensive. I ended up getting a traditional Thai dessert such as Thai taro custard for $7.95. Service was eccentric because they brought the Tom kha soup with the steam white rice I ordered. I would have thought they would have brought that with the green curry I ordered after I was done with my soup. Otherwise ok restaurant just a bit odd adding certain ingredients to the soup. When I called and asked to speak to the manager, Honey the manager told me she was sorry but could do nothing. Being a worker that travels for business, I order a lot of food to deliver for the hotel. I don't carry all the condiments with me because I spend decent money on the food I purchase for delivery. Tom yum hot pot: wasn't sure why there wasn't a option for a smaller one, but it's fine I guess. I picked medium and honestly I thought it was pretty spicy for a medium. The broth isn't quite there..it's sweeter than I normally would have liked in a Tom yum. But then I get this linger sour taste like they put too much vinegar in it. I guess the only good thing about it is that they put a lot of chicken in it. Pad see ew: can't really go wrong with this or a pad Thai from any Thai restaurant. This however was a tad too sweet for me. I do like that they used Chinese broccoli instead of regular broccoli. Green curry: This was a complete miss for me. BRB, just found me new FAV Thai place!!! My sister and I came here on a Sunday basically right when they opened. A few customers came staggering in as the hour went by but overall seating was openly available. Our server was quick and attentive, as well. Inside has red walls and decor with a lit up Thai Siri sign on the back wall. Super cute and authentic looking! Clean, too. The food is the showstopper here. I've never had such fresh, flavorful Thai food in my life. I got the classic pad Thai with chicken and it was so peanuty, sticky, and delicious (around $12 I believe). The Tom Kha soup was creamy, spicy, and flavorful. The egg rolls look very regular but don't get it twisted; they were fresh as ever and bursting with egg roll goodness. The dipping sauce with them was yummy, too. The portions here are bigger than normal I'd say, as well. The food items on the menu are all reasonably priced and what we ordered was all a 10/10. My sister and I both absolutely loved our dishes and couldn't believe we finally found a Thai place of super high quality near-ish where we live. Can't believe I'm just discovering this restaurant! Without a doubt, the absolutely best Thai restaurant in the NW burbs, along with of course, it's 'sister' in Palatine. Originally opened in 1986'ish in Streamwood as Thai Thanee, it retained that title, under various management regimes, until the current owners opening, remodeling, etc. sometime during the pandemic. Thai Siri returns to it's (original ownership) roots, as an authentic Thai restaurant run by and employed with ... (wait for it) real Thai people.
