I had lunch here last week and it was absolutely great! I had the Seafood Ginger Delight, which was loaded with seafood and veggies stir fried with ginger. It was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. Good find in Amarillo, but it's a small place and got crowded early, so plan ahead. read more

Great Thai food to go. Have tried Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao, Garlic Chicken and Basil Chicken. They are all delicious. They give you good sized portions and have nice to-go trays that keep your food hot. tiny place with and okay menu ordered a glass noodle dish and an egg drop soup that was alright. Was not impressed with my server either. The owner here is one of the nicest guys I have ever met! We visited Amarillo for the first time in two years and he still remembered us and greeted us :') There are very few good authentic Asian restaurants in Amarillo and I'm happy to say that this is a favorite of many of my friends. The place is a little run-down and parking lot has limited spaces, but every dish I have tried here has tasted amazing! The fried rice here is like CRACK aka addicting as hell. I don't really know how to categorize this place, as the menu contains sushi, thai dishes, and japanese rice dons as well. Bangkok Tokyo is a perfect name haha, because you get a little of everything here. The restaurant looks like a worn down tent, but made of wood. It's not something very eye-catching and you wouldn't expect much from the exterior but boy, their food speaks for themselves. From stir-fried noodles to sushie rolls and Japanese rice dons, everything is delicious here. Twst your luck and I'm sure you won't regret what you order, alhough I highly recommend the "Monkey Ball" roll if you're in the mood for some indulgence. It's a deep fried roll containing salmon and cream cheese topped with spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce. I normally share this, as it is too heavy for myself, but it's absolutely incredible. My only complain is the place is quite small so most often then not, you're cramped in a corner or be seated right next to the kitchen. The Shrimp & Chicken Pad Thai was really great. (I think it was #63 on menu) The sauce was sweet & kept the noodle from drying. The California roll was ok.. Wouldn't do take out sushi from here. Looks like something out of a store deli. Underwhelming and expensive for the quality. I don't mind paying for quality but it just wasn't here. Disappointing. It's hard to believe I've been stopping at this joint as I traverse the US doing construction work for years now. My previous review still stands as this wonderful restaurant never disappoints me. In that regard it's become like a good friend who greets you with a smile. I stopped by recently to get my old favorite, the pad kee mao and tigers tear roll.
