Arrived hungry and a few minutes early to see the doc at Rebound in Kruse Village. Bangkok Xpress put the Express in grabbing a quick lunch of healthy and tasty Thai food! I happened to be in the area for an appointment and tried this place on a whim. It completely perked up my rough day! The owner was so sweet and brought out my Thai tea first for my sip of heaven as I prepared for the rest of my day. I sat by the window and some flowers which gave me some comfortable solace and the first bite of my meal had me pause a moment to savor the delicious flavor of the sauce! The green beans were nice and crisp, and the chicken had enough sauce to not make it too overwhelming. My 15 minutes of savoring this meal helped the rest of my day move more smoothly! Upon leaving, I wanted to say thank you to the owner and she materialized out of nowhere to give me a perky "Bye!" and I was so happy from the entire visit. read more

I went here last evening and ordered two dinners. The food was very underwhelming. I don't believe kruse Village has a single good restaurant or if it does I have not found it. The strip mall has basic mall food. I ordered a pad Thai and a vegetable with chicken. Both meals were bland and over cooked. It tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for too long. The food was greasy, salty and over cooked. This was very over priced also I might add. I will not eat here again. read more

Not very good. The fried rice we got had broccoli in it. That just seems weird. But it was the most bland fried rice I've ever had. Zero flavor. The Pad Thai was just a bunch of overcooked noodles (to me). Bad customer service. Very average food. My fiancé placed an order IN PERSON for green curry, sweet and sour chicken, and mango sticky rice. He waits in his car for the order to be done. Goes in, picks up order, no issues from anyone working there. He gets home and we realize the mango sticky rice is missing. He calls and the manager picks up. He explains how the mango sticky rice is missing. She says that they "ran out" for the day...naturally he asks why no one at the store told him that when he was ordering at the counter or when he came back to pick up the order. The excuse the manager gives "well I'm the manager in the back, I wasn't the one that took your order". What kind of excuse is that? In addition, they charged us for the mango sticky rice and we only got a refund because we called about the order! The green curry was very average. The name is a bit deceiving - I wouldn't consider this a "fast food" type place. They cook the food to order so it's fresh... and delish! Menu is a little limited but makes ordering easier. We ordered: -Fresh spring rolls with shrimp and they were pretty big and packed with shrimp. I ate one order as a meal (comes with 2) along with some... -Thai basil beef with brown rice. I recently went to Bangkok Xpress in Lake Oswego for the first time. I was hopeful the food would be good as I live close by. When I got my order of "Combo Veggies" home, I found one cup of greasy cooked vegetables on top of a huge amount of white rice. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. The meal was hardly worth $11.95. As Bangkok Xpress is new to Lake Oswego, I called the next day to give them some honest feedback and explain why I would not be back. As the manager was unable to talk to me, I had to share my concerns with the young man who answered the phone. He was totally indifferent. At no time did he apologize for my negative first experience. Again, I was very disappointed. Because of this, I will continue to patronize the other Thai restaurant also on Meadows Road. read more

Sad that I won't be able to stop in for last PdX meal before flight out at the airport. BUT Im so HAPPY that they are now near my neighborhood! I don't have to wait until I start traveling again. Woo hoo! My regular go to are their drunken noodles, grandma's fried rice and lemon grass chicken. You can't go wrong with these choices. If you like it spicy ask for spicy with their chili oil. They put too much rice, less veggies and I did not see much meat on the food to the point I did not need to count how much pieces of chicken was on my chicken ginger that I ordered. I could literally see that 6-7 pieces of chicken for 16-17 dollars. every time i go here it tastes like the oil is burnt. maybe they don't clean the pans between use. i don't know. it's close to my house so i get lazy. but the pad thai is flavorless except for a burnt oil unpleasant after taste. lately all the fried noodle dishes have this same disgusting burnt oil flavor. i'm pretty sure it's from not cleaning pans between use and then the next dish has a left over burnt flavor from the previous dish. i would have asked for my money back plenty of times but it's not worth it anymore. i will just go to basil thai which isn't great but at least they clean the pans between use. read more
