    Sauted Garlic Green Beans
    Samantha E.

I happened to be in the area for an appointment and tried this place on a whim. It completely perked up my rough day! The owner was so sweet and brought out my Thai tea first for my sip of heaven as I prepared for the rest of my day. I sat by the window and some flowers which gave me some comfortable solace and the first bite of my meal had me pause a moment to savor the delicious flavor of the sauce! The green beans were nice and crisp, and the chicken had enough sauce to not make it too overwhelming. My 15 minutes of savoring this meal helped the rest of my day move more smoothly! Upon leaving, I wanted to say thank you to the owner and she materialized out of nowhere to give me a perky "Bye!" and I was so happy from the entire visit.

I went here last evening and ordered two dinners. The food was very underwhelming. I don't believe kruse Village has a single good restaurant or if it does I have not found it. The strip mall has basic mall food. I ordered a pad Thai and a vegetable with chicken. Both meals were bland and over cooked. It tasted like it had been under a heat lamp for too long. The food was greasy, salty and over cooked. This was very over priced also I might add. I will not eat here again.

Cheryl was so nice to help plan out the catering menu for Teacher Appreciation week. She made everything so easy and recommended items too. I normally order Thai food from here because it's good! Love the Pad Thai, yellow curry, masumum curry and fried rice. You can never go wrong here

Drunken noodles, decent & fresh tasting. The noodles were clumped together.......bummer.

Looks like they improved their phad see ew Fried just ' Al dente' and flavored perfectly with their 'wok hey'. It's an Amazing dish here. Their pad Thai is good too. I asked for extra bean sprouts and they honored it

We started off with the Brussels sprouts which were crispy bites of flavor in your mouth. The peppers add a little heat. The sauce has a sweetness to it. Combine all three together and perfection. We ordered four rolls. A traditional spicy tuna. The tuna was not ground up tuna which I have gotten at other many places but beautiful pieces with crispy cucumber to give it more texture and a nice heat but not so overpowering you lose the flavor of the tuna. The bamboo dragon was the least favorite of the table . Too much combined together and not enough flavor all at the same time. The sunset was the prettiest looking one. I felt the heat level took away from the flavor of the fish masking it too much for me. The unicorn which I asked for no cilantro was my favorite of the evening. The combination of the fishes with the seasoning of the oil was wonderful. I didn't even need the soy sauce. I of course tried all with the soy sauce and without to ensure I tasted them all both ways. Service was friendly and we were there towards closing so despite being asked to close out our bill we were told we could sit as long as we liked to talk. Overall very fresh and flavorful.

The burnt ends brought that deep, savory, slightly charred flavor, while the curry gave it a completely different dimension. The flavors worked well. I just wished the burnt ends were more fatty. Flavor was great on this, and it had a crisp, crunchy batter - Wok fried yu choy: great wok char - Smoked pork krapao: crispy pork belly pieces, a fried poached egg (literally deep fried). Break up the yolk to dip with the pork. The cucumbers and green beans are a nice clean accompaniment; spicy fish sauce was great - White curry with brisket burnt ends: I've never had a white curry, but the white curry and cauliflower was a great match for the super rich brisket pieces. I love the interesting combination! Note: pretty much everything has some spice to it, so for kids, the jasmine rice and yu choy are the main items, though my older daughter did ok with the fried chicken and brisket! Music was great, and all of the food flavors were bold. Though flavor combinations were unique, everything was cohesive. Here is a breakdown of what we tried: - Pork Belly with Green Beans & Red Peppers: The pork belly had a nice sear and crisp edges, and the green beans added a great crunch. However, the sauce was quite heavy and sweet, masking some of the lighter aromatics you'd hope for in a stir-fry. - Ginger Beef Claypot: Served piping hot with fresh slivered ginger on top alongside steamed broccoli and white rice. The beef was tender, but the dark sauce was a bit too dominant and sweet, overpowering the fresh ginger flavor rather than letting it shine. It's a solid neighborhood option if you're looking for a casual meal or hot tea, but the dishes felt a bit heavy-handed on the sauce and sweet profiles.

Brunch in Portland, Oregon…read more.. After I read reviews about Portland's Chinatown, I searched for a dimsum place outside of Chinatown and found Jade Rabbit I liked the name of the place and saw that they had two kinds of rabbit-shaped dimsum! Another cool thing is that their menu is vegan... that means that I don't have to worry about dairy products that give me pain. We found free street parking about a half a block away and waited for Jade Rabbit to open at 11am. We didn't have reservations, but we're seated immediately. The decor was great! I enjoyed looking at all of the Rabbit figurines! The furniture was colorful and the convenient restroom had interesting decorations, too! The service was okay. Some items were not available and our server recited the list that included chow funn. Shucks! She came back later and said that the chow funn was, in fact, available... yay! Our server seemed a bit nervous as her hand shook and placed the special menu upside-down... LOL! We won't bite you! She recommended the Ube Jam drink - it was made with coconut cream... yes! The chow funn was a bit bland. We added some soy sauce. The Puto Pao Bunny Bao had an unusual flavor - maybe the brown sugar can be omitted because the black garlic and vegan pork might be fine without it? The Jade Rabbit Dumplings also could be more savory. Something was off... and the filling was a bit sparse. Anyway, maybe we could have ordered better, but we got what we wanted! Thank you for the cute food! Note: 22 percent is added to the bill - so no need to tip.
