Cold cut combo with pork floss
    Daniel C.

This restaurant on Kennedy used to be Mochi Doh until the owners decided to pivot and start doing banh mis. They recently opened and we got to take advantage of their opening special. The key differentiator with this store is that they bake their banh mi bread fresh every morning and you can really tell the difference. The bread has a really yet crispy crunch on the outside and a super soft dough on the inside. We tried two of their special subs. One was a cold cut one with pork floss. Really like the textural addition of pork floss as well as its sweetness. The other one was a crispy pork belly which was pretty unique though I wish it had a bit more meat. All the sandwiches come with butter, pate, lots of pickled carrots and radish, some red onion and cilantro. The subs were decently big and filling! One is enough for a filling lunch. Definitely worth coming to try!

Tried the fruity pebbles one and it was delicious! They also had creme brule which I didn't see during my last visit and seasonal ones like a milk tea reindeer that I'm eager to try! Price's for 1 donut or 3 are listed at same rate, but if you get 6, there's a $2 discount. Overall, been twice and will definitely return!

The donuts were delicious, the tea was tasty, and the sandwich was amazing! The staff was friendly and helpful.

Been here a couple of times to pick up mochi donuts and they're great! Always have a great variety of flavours to pick from. But this time I went in to try their matcha drink and wow was I pleased with it. I was having a hard time picking which matcha drink I wanted, and the staff there told me they're testing a new blueberry matcha that is not yet on the menu. Of course I opted for that and it was amazing! A bit on the sweeter side than I would have enjoyed but the overall flavour was there! The cup was also pretty big in size compared to other spots for matcha. Saw that they recently started selling banh mi as well and I can't wait to come back to try them as well - they looked delicious! Overall, a great spot to grab sweet treats, drinks and now sandwiches. Cute small shop and interior with great flavours.

Almond caramel and Strawberry Poki mochi donuts.

Mochi Doh This place is quite hidden. According to Google Maps it is in an unnamed lane. At the time of our visit, one mochi donut is $4.50, six for $26. I enjoyed the Strawberry Pocky and the Almond caramel. It has a texture of a light airy chew. I usually just pick up two as needed. The flavours available changed at each visit. Service was quick. I will return when in the area. The con is upon entering one can smell the oil which is unappealing to me.

2.75 rating Hmm Mochi Doh is another place I'd say has delicious looking desserts but that's about it. Tried two other mochi places Isabella's and LaMochi and both were way better than here. Ordered: matcha latte, Ube flan, Fortune cookie , White Rabbit , Strawberry , milk tea and Creme Brûlée. I personally tried all flavours except for the milk tea. Surprisingly the strawberry flavour was the best . Followed by Ube flan . Matcha was very light in taste . The fortune cookie and white rabbit ( lunar new year) specials were tasteless. The worse was these cost +1 more then the regular flavours. The white rabbit and creme brûlée both reminded me of expensive versions of the original Krispy Kreme but less sweet . All the donuts were overly oily. Another disappointment was the box they give for the 6 donuts were too small so some of the flavours mixed up ( ie there was some Ube on my bunny , creme brûlée had some red icing on it etc). In addition, my beloved white bunny donut's tail came off and ended up being stuck on the Ube donut and one of the eyes got pushed off so we had to move it back :( I saw from older picture , they use to have a purple box so either they ran out of boxes due to increased cny orders or changed boxes. Pick up was also not seamless. I bought the donuts under my name but paid with partners credit card. When I got there , it turns out they listed him on the box so it took a good 5 minutes for them to locate my order I would not come back for the donuts but maybe the croffles...

Dude, chef's fucking kiss for this spot. This place is the bomb - for a donut and texture lover.. you can't ask for more! The mochi donut is such a great phenomenon and I'm so glad we embarked on this, and HOW have we not done it sooner?? Mochi? In a donut? GENIUS! The mochi gives each bite a dense and chewy texture. It is absolute fire - and these are fresh, made to order. They have really unique flavours as well and I have to say my favourite so far is milk tea or caramel macchiato (ya girl loves her drinks, eh?) but the others have really good decor and added flavour + texture as well. I think you'll always find one here you or your loved ones will like. Everyone I've surprised with these has been received with amazing reactions and leaves them asking for more. You can order online to avoid any disappointment - they try their best to cater to your notes (eg. Asked them to make it asap since I was in the area and usual wait time is an hour to prepare and they boxed it within 5min and took the time to call me) So happy that this place has opened, I'll always stop by if I'm in the area. Also the mochi waffle is pretty bomb too!

    So cute!!

Finally got to try this place out. Omg how cute are these donuts!?!! I don't actually really like sweets but mochi is too good to deny. I was taking some home to share so I figured it's easier to order the puffs even though there's fewer flavor options. Cinnamon sugar is exactly what you expect. Matcha was nice and strong with a bitter touch to it. The kinake soy bean powder was really delicious and a favorite amongst my family. They got really cold by the time we got home so just had to heat it back up for a few seconds. It's best enjoyed a little bit warm. I was surprised how long it took for the order though. I waited about 15 minutes and all the staff were in the back I guess making the order. It was a bit weird to be left alone at the front like that. And they apologized for the wait after, but I would have appreciated a quick update... Or just to have been told that it would take some time for the order to be ready. They took the order and went to the back, which left me thinking they just went to pack it up and shouldn't take more than a few minutes. I think order ahead if you can since they have the option online. Would definitely be back for a fresh puffs. They're so good when they're all warm and chewy.

You like mochi, you like donuts, then this hybrid mutant donut will satisfy your mochi craving. Shop is a nice clean modern whimsical decor. Donut variety displayed in from counter by entrance. A little expensive but YOLO it, memories and your foodie taste buds are priceless. Be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes as donuts are cooked fresh in fryer before your eyes. Staff helpful for those hesitant to step out of their donut comfort zone. Get a soft serve while waiting for these delicious treats. Mango & strawberry are their best sellers. Gotta eat then fresh or the crispy crust will go soggy. Hint- heat up any leftovers in toaster oven will bring donut almost back to it's original crispy/chewiness Kinda difficult to locate, turn on your phone/Google map for precise directions. Photos don't do these donuts justice. First bite gives you the slight crispy exterior crunch, then the soft chewy donut mochi center takes over and hits your taste buds. Great unique dessert item to bring to your get togethers, guarantee you'll be the hit of the party

Bought half a dozen for my friend & her family. I only had a matcha one which was good. Agree with the other review. Good mochi donut for Toronto standards. Will try other flavours next time

Newly opened and because it was national donut day on the past Friday, the entire weekend there was a 10% off donuts! Thank goodness because the pricing was on the pricier side but definitely worth the quality! We got the Vietnamese coffee and coconut ube. I must say, Mister Donut is still number one but MochiDoh! may be my Canadian number one. I really like the dough texture and chewiness compared to the other mochi donuts around GTA. It is less dense. Also, the flavours are more rich and accurate. There were coconut slivers in the glazing and the ube flavour came out nicely in the dough. For the viet coffee, the flavour was not subtle but also not too sweet or too artificial in taste. It also came with a mini pipette for condensed milk!! So cute :) Can't wait to go back to try other flavours!!

    Grilled pork banh mi

I ordered grilled pork and grilled chicken banh mi. While the pork one was good ( good size, good bread, and good flavours) , the chicken one needs more flavour was more on the drier side. Price was reasonable @ $8 before tax for 1. The pickled carrots and turnip, I wished it was stronger. I'm not the biggest fan of pate in general so next time I would ask to omit it on my banh mi. Overall, I prefer this place over Banh Mi House in King Square Mall.

My first time trying mochi donuts & these ones were amazing! They looked wonderful & all the flavours were spot on They have rotating flavours & I'll definitely be back for more! The shop is cozy with no seating but there is a display window for the donuts with the counter. There is parking lot but space can be limited as the plaza is smaller with other stores. They only take cash/debit.

First, the pros: their burgers are definitely a highlight. The patties are very substantial, with a genuine meaty flavor, not the mass-produced kind. The toppings are also well-chosen, not just piled on haphazardly. The plating is also a plus; it looks quite appetizing when it arrives at the table. The service is generally friendly, not overly enthusiastic but not unpleasant either. However, the cons are also quite obvious. The biggest problem is the inconsistent quality--some dishes are excellent, while others are rather ordinary, even making you feel like "something else tastes better." Plus, the prices aren't cheap, so if you happen to order an average dish, the value for money doesn't quite meet your expectations. Also, the restaurant lacks a truly memorable signature dish, making it less memorable after your meal.

It's also clean and spacious, we didn't have to wait coming here for lunch and had a pleasant time. We tried the hue-style noodles and the broth was rich and flavourful, not super spicy but with a very slight hint of heat. It's good if you're not too into spicy foods. We also got some picked garlic and peppers to add for a boost of spiciness. We also ordered their fruit smoothie with coffee which was such a delight! The coffee was rich and delicious and paired well with the coconut. Next time I'd want to try it with their durian flavour (for those who can handle the king of fruits). You can also build your own pho if you want to choose your own noodle bowl.

Staff were so nice and happy - always smiling at us whenever they brought anything to our table. The dishes here were great with some adjustments to their dishes, I think it could be a solid 5/5! Here goes: Viet coffee 4/5 - Love me an iced Viet coffee. Was a tad sweet imo, so think they could adjust their condensed milk portions for this. Overall was a great caffeine hit drink though. Banh Cuon 5/5 - Oh my goodness - must get! Chewy steamed rice rolls with a pork filling dipped into the fish sauce. Came with grilled meats which were to die for. Bun Cha Ha Noi 5/5 - Meats were very well seasoned in the broth like sauce. It's a dipping type noodle and was absolutely divine. Bun Bo Hue 4/5 - This was good but not too spicy. Lacked a bit of umami flavour and felt like it could have used a bit more depth. Pho Bo 4/5 - Standard beef pho that was comforting and delicious. Overall a pretty solid spot for Vietnamese food.
