Horrible customer service. Ordered pho for delivery and they forgot the hoisin, cilantro, bean sprouts, and sirarcha. I called for a refund because that is essentially the WHOLE flavor vs having just noodles and broth. They said if I wanted a refund the delivery driver would have to COME BACK after an 1 hour and pick up my food. Additionally, they said if i wanted everything they had forgotten I would have to wait ANOTHER hour for it to be delivered and the for the food to get cold. I really love this place, and their fake chicken banh mi sandwiches are a favorite. The BF and I order from them regularly. Only frustrating thing is that they say they deliver up to 1 mile away. We are .72 miles away, and though they show up for delivery on our apps, they won't deliver to us unless they aren't too busy and we call them. It's pretty annoying. The classic bahn mi sandwich is like crack !! I can't get enough !!! And the bubble teas. Just wish they had an even larger size for bubble tea than they currently have so I can sip it all day ! The peanut sauce dip for shrimp rolls needs some work though ; it tastes like blended peanut butter to a less thicker consistency. This is for the Staten Island location in Great Kills. Delicious and fresh! I just had my first meal of a shredded chicken Banhmi. My husband ordered the shredded chicken pho. I ordered my sandwich without mayo. The first bite of the sandwich gave me a delicious mouthful of sweet pickled carrot and radish slaw. The crispy baguette was just the right size for a sandwich that I ate by myself. The grilled chicken was fresh and slightly covered with sriracha. Dainty pieces of cucumber were speckled throughout the sandwich. The use of cilantro gave the sandwich a nice earthy green flavor.(I love cilantro and use it copiously in my home cooking.) The pho soup had a ginger taste which complemented the broth. It was served with shredded white meat chicken and bean sprouts on the side. We ordered hot vietnamese style coffee to go. Also very delicious. Made with strong coffee and condensed milk. It's actually like having dessert. I will be going back again soon. I eat at the Crown Heights location, however, which I think is equally good. The other day, though, I mistakenly ordered online from this one instead of the other -- a big order -- and then went to pick up at the Crown Heights location who, naturally, didn't know what I was talking about. I called these guys to explain my stupidity and they were very friendly and refunded the whole order, even though it was already made, and I just re-purchased from the proper location. I was so surprised and impressed, and of course I feel terrible because they basically just ate the cost of 5 sandwiches because I'm an idiot... But that's what you get. This is the second time we got nothing waiting for more than an hour and almost half. Last time we had to cancel because we were too hungry and because of slow delivery we haven't been ordering from them for over 6 months. This time they claimed their system show it's a pick-up order but it is actually not. We left $5 tips, I don't think there is an option to leave tip for pick-up order. When they first opened they were great. Now they have become my least favorite restaurant in the area. First, never picks up the phone. I've called them 8 times tonight, at one point someone picked up and hung up. When I finally reached them the girl on the phone was VERY rude. When I have her my address she said "we don't deliver to that address anymore" and simply hung up. No explanation, nothing. Had high hopes for this cool little spot and I give it 1.25 stars, I do think they are just above 1 star. My short rib bahn mi left me high and dry in the favor department. Also not very much meat and some of my meat had the slimy part of short rib still attached forcing me to spit it out. The veggies were ok but definitely not enough cilantro. Delivery time is always so long. It's always taken at least an hour every time I've ordered from them. I placed an order about an hour and a half ago now and I'm still waiting. The food doesn't even justify the wait time. The sandwiches are ok, but everything else is pretty bland. Not worth the wait, I'll be ordering from the other Vietnamese place in the neighborhood from now on. *update: I called the restaurant for a refund due to the extensive wait, and the woman on the phone says they can't refund the order because everything had already been settled and that they can't be held responsible, that "it's on the delivery guy now". This used to be my go to spot when I'm working in the area. But now the place is falling apart. The counter girl is really RUDE!!!!! The food is not what it use to be and cleanliness is Really BAD!!! Ask said counter girl can you please wipe off the long table her answer to me "I wipe the table already it doesn't need to be wipe again". Sad because I've been coming here for over a year. Love this place! I had the short rib Bahn mi sandwich and the match bubble tea. Admittedly the short rib was more a brisket but it was soooo good! The meat was perfectly juicy, the roll was toasted just right, and the pickled vegetables were the icing on top. They were fresh, crisp and not too strong. I would come here all the time if I could! Came in here for dinner around 8pm on a Sunday and it wasn't packed--given it was Memorial Day weekend. BF and I split shrimp spring rolls with the fish sauce, not the peanut sauce viet places typically provide and it was on point. Can tell it was just made and the sauce was great. Got the sliced beef pho and I thought it was delicious. The broth could've been hotter but overall, for the $9.75 price tag and being the only viet place in this hood, worth visiting. There was more than enough noodles and beef. There was even tripe in it. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the red onion. It came with a side of bean sprouts, sliced jalapeño and line wedge. Add a dash of sriracha and you're good to go. Will definitely come back. Oh and beers are $4.50 here. read more

I bought a shredded chicken bahn mi sandwich here yesterday and could not finish the first bite because it was disgusting. The chicken wasn't shredded white meat as advertised. It was bite sized pieces and tasted like it had been cooked - not rewarmed - COOKED in the microwave. Rubbery, flabby, tasteless, and the texture was something like tofu. Disgusting. They tried to mask that meat tragedy with half a bottle of sriracha on the sandwich even though I told them "medium." Don't waste your money here. Take your cash and walk over to Bahn Mi place on Washington for food that is actually fresh. read more

Nothing horrible happened, I just wish this place was better. Everything they serve on is disposable, so even when you eat pho in the restaurant they give you a plastic bowl and a tiny plastic spoon. The pho was a mess of different noodles with not much broth. And instead of a nice plate of herbs to add, they offer three little leaves. It all made me miss Nicky's or want to go to Hanco's. I just moved to the neighborhood and was eager to try the banh mi options nearby, but unfortunately I don't foresee Banhmigos becoming my go-to spot. I tried the beef short rib sandwich ($8.25), and I found it to be mediocre. The meat was tender but didn't have a lot of flavor, and the sandwich was very heavy on the mayo. Needed some spice too, although I could have asked for this or added sriracha. I also got a small bubble tea (12 oz, $3.50) in order to reach the $10 card minimum, and it was also just okay. I might come back to try the spring rolls or rice bowls, but I will try somewhere else for banh mi. On the plus side, stopping here made me discover the two places on either side, Silver Rice and Caribeana, which both look really cute. read more

I agree with zack below. I've ordered from Bahnmigos several times in the past couple of months. On one occasion, they messed up the order significantly (wrong type of bahn mi, wrong tea). Otherwise, they've absolutely nailed it. The BF and I are pretty much addicted to their traditional bahn mi. We've also tried the salads, bubble teas and soft tacos. Everything has been delicious. And, the one time the delivered order was a 'fail', they re-delivered the corrected order within 30 minutes. Although we now have a bevvy of food options in the part of town, I find it is still difficult to find something that is reasonably healthy AND tasty. I have no idea if it is the most authentic food, but it is always fresh and delicious - which is saying a lot for delivered sandwiches! read more

Used to be our go to spot but they don't know how to deal with growth. Their quality has fallen a long way. The last straw for me was being told that they refuse to take orders over the phone. That would be fine if they got my order correct with online orders. That and online orders are usually an additional hours for delivery.
