First off, let me begin by saying I NEVER write yelp reviews -- but after my experience with Dr. Banks, I felt it was the only right thing to do seeing as he has changed my family's outlook on dentists all together.   Dr. Banks is the BEST dentist in the eastern panhandle-- not just for people who are VERY fearful of getting dental work done like myself and my children, but also because he is a grade A professional at his craft. I Went into his office and was greeted by a very friendly staff and felt comfortable through the entire process. He knew My children and I had a bad fear so he talked us through the whole thing and made us laugh quite a bit to lighten the mood... Dr. Bank's dental office has taken care of my entire family's dentistry needs which I must say were extensive. Their staff provides the most professional atmosphere while welcoming you like family. I have tried different dentals offices in the area and I now choose quality and that is what Dr. Banks and his dental office staff and employees exudes. I don't see Dr. Kenneth Banks, Dr. Christopher Banks is my dentist at this practice, however; the the entire office great. From the office manager to the hygienists to the Christopher Banks, I haven't had a single problem with this friendly staff. The management staff has worked selfishly to make sure all my dental work gets pre-approved through my insurance company (making sure i didn't have to). This takes the stress level of seeing a dentist way down. After my second of four visits to get my problems fixed I haven't had any issues with the work that Dr. Banks has given me. The numbing procedures are great, he is always stopping his work to make sure I'm ok and the staff is very reassuring. I'm very comfortable in this practice and recommend them to anyone who needs a dentist. I'm happy that my insurance sent me this office. I don't think I could have asked for a better dentist and support staff. read more

WOW! The front staff was very accommodating with my busy work and family life hours. The receptionist got me quicker than expected which was a nice surprise. When I arrived at the office I was welcomed with smiles. The office is stunning! I met both doctors at the start of my appointment as well as my hygienist. All were very professional. I appreciated the hygienist being gentle during my appointment (I have sensitive teeth). My experience from start to finish was second to none. Dr.Dave was incredibly helpful, thorough and informative when discussing my needed restorative treatment. I checked out with Brenda (the office manager) and she explained the process of my future appointments as well as the financial aspects of my needs (both insurance and my out of pocket). Because of Dr. Banks and his staff, I can smile! I have had so many people say what pretty teeth I have. And these are people I don't even know! All I have to do is smile or laugh, and they say this. And the best part is, my teeth look natural, and fit just right with my smile. As a young child, I had a terribly painful experience that left me afraid of dentists. Dr. Banks and his gentle professional manner has cured me of this fear. He is very careful when giving Novocaine and takes his time to numb before giving more. This is his normal way of treating each patient. His staff are the most friendliest people you would ever want to meet. They work around your schedule and will do their best to get you in quickly if you have an issue in between routine cleaning. I have been a patient of this dentist office for at least twenty years. The atmosphere is very friendly and extremely professional. I have always had a very good experience in this office. I have had the same huge rust clean my teeth for all the years I have been going and she had been nothing but Professinal. From the front office to Dr Banks himself it has always been a professinal pleasant experience. Once I had a jaw tooth that needed to be extracted. It took over forty five minutes for Dr Banks to remove the tooth it was so imbedded. He took great care to make sure I was not uncomfortable or in any pain. Everyone I have dealt with at this dental office is absolutely the best! The manager, both receptionists, the hygienists, and the dentist were very caring and sincere in handling my dental needs. I have an anxiety disorder and going to a dentist is one of my greatest fears. They all were genuinely caring in helping me with my anxiety. I had a cleaning and went back for a deep cleaning and one filling. They were very attentive to my anxiety and took care of me. I didn't feel any of the needles used for numbing. I took my three year old for her very first dentist appointment and was extremely nervous due to her young age. We were greeted with warm smiles and the staff instantly made conversation with her making her feel at home. When it was our turn my little one hopped into the chair where she got to wear "sunglasses" and pick out her toothpaste. The hygienist went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and most importantly, to make my little girl comfortable. Dr. David checked her teeth after the cleaning and was exceptional. After moving back home from college, he and his staff opened their arms to provide me with the best quality and tailored service of any dental practice! Worth noting I haven't had a cavity since being under his care! I was super anxious about going to the dentist and now it's like having family I'm excited to see! I am a new patient and have been here twice in the past week. I am so impressed! First, I have a genetic condition that has affected my teeth and the years of dental work has made me fear going to the dentist. I no longer do as a patient of Dr. Schmidt's. He is gentle and does excellent dental work. The hygienist was very friendly and careful. She even gave me a heated neck wrap! The receptionist is very kind. I really love going to this practice! Dr. Christopher Banks is my dentist, and my kids have Dr. Kenneth Banks. Everyone is so nice! They take the time to explain what is going on in your mouth. They let me know if my up coming procedures will be covered by insurance or if I am close to my yearly limit. On top of that they make you as comfortable as possible.
