Norcal wildlife removal was prompt in responding to our request. They are very professional and offered us the best value.

I have given NorCal multiple chances to fix the problems but they have not answered my calls, emails or texts. They came out to fix my rodent issues in the crawl space and attic. Max came out and seemed like a nice guy. I thought he did some things in a strange order, which means that rodents would still be there. Sure enough, rodents are still there after multiple visits. Their business model is based on how many animals they remove so of course they have an incentive to keep coming back it seems. I sent them video evidence and they did not respond. They keep sending me reminders for invoices for incomplete work. They were also supposed to put a barrier attached to a door for a crawl space where rates were eating their way into the space. That never happened so of course the rats still have an entryway. On a related note, their technicians do not wear shoe guards, so they walk around your house with the same shoes that are walking over rodent droppings. I do not recommend them at all. I used them based on the great reviews and the family owned business model. read more

NorCal did a great job addressing the squirrel issue. They were able to access the nook on our roof that was 3 floors up (I live in a townhome) easily and set up the appropriate netting, preventing squirrels from camping out on our roof. Had NorCal out 2x and still have gophers or moles in my yard. Issue with NorCal is they charge you every time they come out even if they don't address the problem you are paying them to address. They have great customer service. Josh, Max and Jorge are all great trappers and very laid back. They know their trade well! Originally hired them to catch a bat and then later ground squirrels that was tearing up my landscape! Just know the animal removal is expensive so be prepared to do it yourself after learning the trade! So you know, as a private trapper DIY, you need a permit to relocate but you don't need it to trap and euthanize them according to CDFW (California Dept of Fish and Wildlife). read more

The team at NorCal Wildlife is absolutely epic. I cannot say enough good things about the can-do, proactive nature of the team that works there. After being turned down by several other wildlife services who weren't willing to even attempt my job, I was so heartened by the willingness of NorCal Wildlife to face even the trickiest of circumstances without giving up. Josh came out to inspect my attic after many months of hearing squirrels scratching around and finding evidence of squirrel droppings on my attic insulation. Josh took the time during his first visit to explore all the corners of the attic that he could. He was able to identify an area of the attic that several other contractors were unable to find, hidden in a far corner of my attic, under an HVAC duct, and through a narrow corridor (2ft by 2ft). With the help of security cameras that Josh helped me place in the attic, we were able to find the human-inaccessible entry point that numerous squirrels continued to break through. We laid a trap, caught a squirrel, and Josh managed to squeeze back there and find several potential openings, which he patched with wire mesh. Bill then helped us with some roof work that was necessary to create a further barrier on the roof, to act as a secondary buffer to keep the persistent squirrels out. Over the course of several visits, the team successfully blocked the squirrels from breaking into my home. I cannot thank them enough for helping to restore my sanity! (Hearing squirrels scratching above you at all hours of the night was unsettling to say the least.) A few of my neighbors and friends have been having similar trouble with squirrels and other rodents on their properties, and I've referred them to NorCal Wildlife. When I first called, they responded immediately and sent Max (the technician) to check out attic for a rat we were hearing. He checked the entire house entry points and fixed multiple vent grills, and set traps in the attic. He returned in two weeks to check and refresh the traps. This is an update in response to the business owner's comment on my review. I'm not sure how hard it would be for someone to admit a mistake? I myself is a small business owner and every time my customer make a claim, my first reaction is always to check if I made a mistake, instead of accusing the customer of something, never. The whole time I was dealing with Norcal Wildlife Removal, I can feel that they don't really want to admit to mistakes; instead, they come up with excuses and accuse customer of wrong-doings. So from my point of view, they are just trying to cover up one mistake with another, which makes the whole thing from bad to worse. I understand their line of integrity, but I don't want to be called a liar either so let's dig deeper. Here's what Chad said: "We quote the job ahead of time, so still not clear as to how we started the job if we were not in agreement.". As I mentioned in my review, as well as in several msg's sent to Nocal during the disucssion, we never received a quote and we never even discussed starting a job. If it's "not clear", find it out! Is there a text msg with a quote or even a smallest hint of a job to be started? Is there an email? Is there a Yelp msg? None. I don't know how much clearer you need? Here is another quote: "When the tech got to the property to install the traps, he called you multiple times to discuss the job but you wouldn't answer. I then texted you a week a later and our correspondence started". I assume you know that the telephone companies have record of every phone call right? Please show me the record of the tech calling my numbers at the day of inspection. I was expecting a call from Norcal so I kept my phone handy pretty much the whole day. I do have record of me sending text message to Norcal after the scheduled time asking whether they have stopped by and completed the inspection. And how long did I wait to get a response to that text message? 7 days. Chad sounded like I ignored their communication and they started the correspondence - very funny way twisting the truth. Next quote: "Now, maybe you should discuss this with your tenant if they were holding you accountable for spending without your consent." Of course I discussed with our tenant. I told them Norcal was supposed to stop by for an inspection and asked them to give access. Maybe Norcal was expecting me to warn my tenants that a tech might be doing something never discussed so please stop him? You've got to be kidding me. To me, this is a very clear case. Norcal forgot to inform me there's an upfront inspection fee. The tech forgot to call me (or called a wrong number?) The tech assumed we had an agreement to start a job so he set a trap. Norcal was busy so my messages fell through the cracks. People make mistakes. Everyone does. Just admit it and tell your customers this would not happen again. How hard would that be? And when you made mistakes and caused aftereffects (the non-stop bill), fix it and apologize! Don't try to cover it up again. read more
