Coastal Termite and Pest Control serviced my condo both interior and exterior for ants. The ants had been a serious issue for a few months. A day or two after treatment my home was ant free - what a relief. When they reappeared outside (in small numbers) a few weeks later, Coastal came back out and sprayed the exterior under their warranty for free. Unfortunately, my experience has not been positive. * I have waited nearly four weeks and still have not received the inspection report. * One of the areas identified as possible termite damage turned out not to be, and although I requested a correction, no update has been provided. * Phone calls and emails have been difficult to get answered, and responses have been vague without a clear timeline. This delay is concerning, especially given the potential for further termite damage if left unaddressed. Beware theft!! We were having Costal come and do monthly treatments for awhile. The technician would come, do their thing, and go - we never thought much about it. Recently we went on vacation and decided to put a camera outside since we would be gone for awhile. The technician came when we were gone and on camera we could clearly see that he stole plants and pots from our back patio after looking into our windows to see if we were home. It was a complete violation of our trust! We contacted the company and filed a police incident. Coastal talked the technician and he returned a few plants. Likely this has been going on for months and we suspect there were more plants taken than what was returned. These were not just any plants, they were valuable plants that are a part of my wife's small business and livelihood . Coastal said it was a misunderstanding. I don't know how any reasonable person would believe that this blatant theft was a misunderstanding. I highly recommend avoiding this company. read more

We weren't told that the house we moved in, the neighborhood is infested with cockroaches, but the city won't do anything about it. I told my landlord and she referred us to Coastal Termite with Ben. Ben was so fast to reply and did an inspection. He said it would be a 24 hour turn around to spray our house, he just had to talk to our landlord. A whole month passed by and no response, so I messaged Ben but I was told he left the company and to call the office and talk to Rachael to straighten things out. We have been using them to get rid of rats. I tried myself for a few months but only caught 3 rats. I still had a few so I called them. Very good service and response time. They came and set up bait stations and traps. After a few months, they only caught one rat. And the service they provide is about the same as I was doing. So if you are ok to do it yourself, it is not worth the cost . By the way, I caught one more rat myself right after stopping the service! More likely it is a coincidence on timing but it proves that it is definitely something you can do yourself. read more

I don't know what the company our landlord used before these guys, but I am so so happy that he switched. I used to feel like we were in an ant hole. The only solution is to let them spray inside the house (would not be a problem, but we have cats and I am pregnant, so we would need to vacate for at least 24 hours after the spray) every time the old company came to spray I would end up with more ants... These guys came in and a miracle happened. I was 100% sure we would have to spray the inside or at least get a few different sprays, but the best thing happened, the next day after the spray I only saw a few ants inside my home and a week after they were all gone. I called in 3 termite inspectors for quotes as I had local termites in my sliding door area and Coastal was by far the most professional. The rep did a THOROUGH walkthrough inside and out of my house looking for termite damage (also in attic and crawl space- walkthrough was about 45 min) at no charge and then I was presented with options. One other company that came out just looked at the termite droppings, confirmed what they were and told me "once you get other quotes, let us see them and we will quote you on what they find". Coastal would never take that easy lazy way out. My appt was set a couple days later and the service is guaranteed for 2 full years. Jeff is a godsend! I reached out as I had a wasp concern. Somehow a wasp was flying around in my office one night on two separate occasions (not sure how they ventured in when the nest was on the other side of the house in the backyard). After I had the couple flying in my office, I walked around outside of my house to see if I could find the nest. Freaked out after I saw that the wasps started building their home in my home! When Jeff arrived, I showed him where the nest was and he quickly removed it. He double-checked the perimeter to make sure that there were no other major issues, was extremely educational by answering all my questions, and had a great calming personality. Starting with the inspection all the way thro' to completion, Coast Termite did a great job. Matthew was the inspector who came to my property. He showed up within the time window I was given. He did a thorough inspection inside the home and the exterior of the home. He took notes about the following 1) Our observations as homeowners about potential termite infection and, 2) his own observations. As promised, I received a quote...with a report that recommended treatment for dry wood and subterranean termites. The fumigation was completed in 3 days followed by the subterranean treatment which took about 3 hrs on the 4th day. Matthew was very responsive to the questions I had or about the process in general. Their office staff also responded to emails quickly. I had to pay only after the entire work was completed. I didn't have to make a deposit before the work started. The entire process from start to finish was smooth. One of the termite companies that did the inspection did not give me a quote after their 'delayed' inspection. One other termite company sent me a quote without conducting an inspection.
