I've been a realtor for over 16 plus years and I have never come across a termite business so negligent and unethical in the real estate servicesZ I had a Presto pest control appointment at a property in Cupertino, CA. This home was to be listed at $3.5M and this home had possible active termite Infestation. The owners wanted to fix. 24 hours before the day of appointment , I explained to the Presto technician I couldn't make it to the property to meet him. I explained beforehand there's a lockbox and provided him the code. The Technician acknowledged. He technician did only an exterior walk through of the home and provided a $$$ unreasonable quote which was much higher than what I expected. I also realized the Presto technician NEVER did a walk through inside the home. I know this because there were no interior photos in the Presto quote and my lockbox showed no access for the key removal. In summary, I received an incomplete and a very high $$$$ quote from Presto. I went with another vendor who was much more realistic and reasonable and in line with the termite work. I explained this to owner Jim via phone call and followed up with emails afterwards . I still have our communication correspondences. Jim Rossi acknowledged and wanted to make it right. I explained to Jim I went with another termite company because I was very disappointed in his company's incomplete work and because I always have a second vendor on hand for any real estate services. I thought that was the end. A few days ago, I received a letter from a collection agency saying Presto was coming to collect $106 for the incomplete termite visitation. I explained to Jim Rossi that his organization was very unprofessional about all this but Jim didn't listen and proceeded to collection from my brokerage. I called the collection company and left a VM to explain but they agency never responded to resolve this outstanding amount. I asked Jim to drop this petty charge due to his ego being hurt or whatever and move on and make sure going forward his team does a more complete and thorough job with termite inspection especially for high end homes in Cupertino, CA. read more

After the third ant infestation in my kitchen, I called Jim at Presto Pest to take care of it once and for all, and he did. (He was also the only pest control business to come over, immediately, on a Saturday). To keep the ants away, I have the service every other month to spray the perimeter outside the house, which leaves no odor, by the way. When I had my carpet replaced the installers found termite damage. Jim cam out and took a look but he could not see any new damage in the area as it was now covered by the carpet. He did notice a wasps nest and several areas where creatures could get into the crawl space and the attic. He had Mario come out later that day and removed the wasps nest and blocked all of the egress points. He put traps in both the attic and crawl space and checked them the following 2 weeks. I had a yellow jackets nest really high up in a weird location between my roof and over my front door that I noticed yesterday and was scrambling to try find someone to handle it today. Presto installed netting above my large porch to prevent birds from building nests. In the past, the nests have been a health hazard, so this year I called Presto to see if they could help. Jim sent someone over same day, I don't recall the person's name but he was super nice and helpful. I got a quote later that day to install netting that was very reasonable in comparison to other places I had called. As soon as I accepted the quote, Jim ordered the material right away, communicating that it might take a few days to get the material. As soon as the product came in, Jim scheduled the job. Mario came by as scheduled and installed the netting and it looks great. I was afraid it wouldn't look good, but Mario installed it very neatly and it isn't very noticable. "No problem is too big". You guys might want to rethink your tag line. I never post Yelp reviews but am honestly livid right now. I have a tree in my backyard that I love to death, and when my annual Clark inspection report hinted that I should have my tree checked out by a specialist, I called presto pest control immediately based on their reviews and their tag line. I spoke with Jim Rossi, who asked for photos of my tree to be emailed and then we could set up an appointment for evaluation. His reply? "I don't know what I can do to help you." No explanation, no "hey your tree has xyz problem," just a complete brush off. I then called Jim, who was clearly irritated at me, and stated again that he doesn't know what he can do for me. I tried asking what pests he think it has, or why he thinks it's beyond help since it looks mostly healthy, but he clearly just wanted me off the phone. My landlord had this company come out to spray due to spiders. Jim (owner) came out to do the job. In my experience, he has zero customer service skills. He was very curt, arrogant, and made me feel stupid with some of the questions I was asking. He was to spray inside and out, and started outside. He did some of the outside, but then went inside and didn't mention he was going to start spraying inside. I knew I couldn't be in there after that, but he should have told me he was about to spray inside and asked if I had what I needed. Instead he came outside after spraying and just said, "Do you have the key?" I said yes, but that I needed my things. He said you can't go in, and instead had to hand my items to me. When I asked how long I had to remain outside of the house, he didn't answer me and instead just pointed to the tag he attached to the front door. The spray he did outside that I did see, did not seem very thorough at all. Aside from not having the same chemicals he had, I could have done a much better job myself. He mentioned the spray would be effective in a few days, however I have not noticed any difference at all. When he was leaving, I handed him the check from my landlord which he took. Then several hours later he texted me saying that my landlord already paid for the service via credit card, and asked what he should do with the check. Being the owner, he should have known/seen that the service was already paid for, and shouldn't have even accepted the check. I let my landlord know of my experience with Jim and he has zero interest in using his company again, nor could he recommend his company to others. I've seen that he replies to a lot of the reviews on here to counter what others have said. He can certainly do that, but my experience of him was my experience and that remains the same. read more

The shelter in place has really put the focus on all of the projects at the house that need to taken care of. We kept hearing noises coming from the attic at night but wasn't sure what it was. The noises stopped and we figured that the problem went away only to realize that it had returned. Then we found rodent droppings under the sink which was totally gross, we realized that it was rats making their way into our kitchen. We knew then that we had to get rid of them and right away! We called a few pest control companies but they couldn't get someone out to remove the rats until later in the week. We decided to give Presto a try hoping they would be fast. I called them and they had someone come out to our home within an 1 hour. I didn't mind paying for the inpsection fee because it was deducted from the total cost of the serice. They pointed out all of the places around the house that the rats were able to access into the home. They provided me with a quote to repair them and begin to trap the rats in the attic. We didn't realize that the bird seed that we had in the backyard was a feeding source for the rats until it was pointed out to us. It was recommended that we also install bait around the house since we had a creek and open field next door. I was hesitant because I have little ones and animals not wanting them to be exposed to chemicals. They explained the rat poison they use is multifeeding which is less toxic and that everything was approved for use in California. I'm so glad we had chosen Presto because our rat problem is gone! We found one dead rat under a log in the backyard but it was explained there were more rats dead becuase all the bait was gone indicating there were a lot. We no longer hear any noises in the attic and we make sure that the bird feeder does not spill the seed onto the ground.
