If you're feeling ill, I would advise you from going to this location. Today I scheduled an appointment for 10 o'clock for my daughter to have her eye reviewed. It's now 1130 and she's sitting in the back room crying because they haven't seen her yet. They suggested that they had two emergencies get it but maybe you need more staffing or you should close this down it's unacceptable. Banner is a good medical company, but this urgent care socks and should be closed or evaluated by banners corporate team. It's tragic that my daughter is crying in the back room waiting for someone to look at her eye. You never want that situation.. what a total I'm not a disappointment shut this place down! read more

I honestly cannot believe how unprofessional this office was. I had an appointment scheduled for my son, and the woman at the front desk never even checked us in when we arrived. About 10 minutes AFTER our scheduled appointment time, I received a text message saying my son had not been checked in and that they could no longer hold his appointment time. I had to walk back up to the desk myself and ask again because clearly nothing had been done. To make matters worse, multiple walk-ins were taken back before my son even though we had an actual appointment. The entire process was disorganized and frustrating. The front desk employee also kept my ID and insurance card for over 45 minutes. I asked for them back multiple times, and each time she responded that she was "still not done with them." I went up for a third time and asked and she finally gave them to me but was rude about it stating "I didn't have the chance to give them to you". There was absolutely no reason for her to hold onto my personal documents for that long. While waiting, I witnessed two different people come in asking about the wait time. One person was simply told "yeah" when asking if there was a long wait, causing them to leave because they were given no information at all. Another person was told the wait was 30-45 minutes, meanwhile I had already been sitting there for 45 minutes past my son's appointment time with no updates whatsoever. The woman working the front desk was extremely rude, dismissive, and unprofessional the entire time. She is absolutely not someone who should be greeting or assisting patients and families. Customer service and communication were completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this office based on this experience alone. I've been here 3 or 4 times this year each time with an online appointment. Regardless of the appointment time you will still have to wait 1-2 hours to maybe see someone. Watching as people are taken back despite you being at the top of the list. then when you get pulled back it's another 30min to an hour wait. it better be an emergency if your coming here clear your schedule for the day. read more

I presented with a fever of 103°F, severe systemic symptoms, and significant concern for Valley fever (coccidioidomycosis), which is a known health risk in this region. Despite the seriousness of my symptoms, I was told "there is nothing we can do" and was discharged without further diagnostic testing, treatment options, or appropriate follow-up instructions. I left the clinic still extremely ill, feeling dismissed, and without a clear plan for how to manage my condition. This experience left me not only physically unwell but also deeply concerned about the lack of thorough evaluation and the nonchalant approach taken by staff in the face of potentially serious illness. My expectations as a patient are that: * Symptoms such as persistent high fever and systemic illness are taken seriously. * Providers clearly explain why certain treatments are or are not being recommended. * Testing and follow-up are offered when a condition like Valley fever is suspected. * Patients are given clear instructions about red flags that require immediate attention. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and that staff are reminded of the importance of taking patient concerns seriously, especially when symptoms are severe and suggestive of regionally relevant diseases. Patients deserve to feel heard, taken seriously, and provided with clear next steps for their care. I would also add that they are very nonchalant and careless. There was only one other patient and I waited 2 hours before being brought back to the table just to wait another 30 minutes. I arrived 5 minutes before closing, and I realize that was late, but I didn't know it was closed as it says 9 pm. The young lady told me they are not seeing patients past 8 pm. I said to her it was 7:55 pm. She said "all our rooms are filled." There was one other car in the parking lot! Also, as I sit and write this review in front of the place, they've turned all the lights off, and I have not seen a single patient exit. I don't believe her. They were so nice when I was there. I left a specimen that was to be sent off to the lab and they lost it. I never heard from them and after the medicine they gave me I did not get any better. Over 10 days later I called and the person I talked to was great, but she told me there was no record of the specimen being sent out. No one had called To tell me or follow up. I stopped by and left another one and they sent that out. The infection was not cleared and They wanted me to come in again and pay again to see a different doctor To get the medicine I needed. I felt very sick, I had a fever, was throwing up, and had terrible kidney pain which I believe was causing the nausea. I don't know what I did to make Dr. B (I can't remember her name) and the RN Mark (he only provided his first name) discriminated against me on the morning of May 6th, but they did. Was it because they thought I was only wanting pain medication or was it my last name, Martinez? (Even though I have blonde hair and blue eyes). I filled out all the insurance information and then she wanted to know the address to the insurance. Then she said what copay does it say on the card and I gave her the 2 options and she said well lets go with the $35 unless you want to pay $150 for the visit. I had been coughing since Thursday and after 5 days of coughing and feeling lousy I decided to go to an urgent care center. I was the only person in their so I had no wait! However, the girl at the front desk needs a personality transplant! She was awful and looked like she absolutely hated her job! Anyway, Heidi was very nice and understanding! I told her I felt stupid for coming in for what is probably a cold, and she assured me that it's better safe than sorry! Upon checking me out she said I had an acute upper respiratory infection and said she wanted to treat it before it turned into pneumonia. She gave me a breathing treatment and wrote three prescriptions. The prescriptions were ready by the time I got to Fry's! I'm giving it 5 stars because of Heidi, the nurse practitioner! Admittedly there were only two people in the urgent care other than me but they got me in after about 20 minutes so as far as urgent care goes it's pretty good. The tech was nice. The one star review is because after I told them the reason I'm seeing them (Edema/swelling of the hands/feet) they were happy to take my payment knowing full well they could not treat me. A tech came in as usual and took my temp/bp/hr/oximetry. The NP Jason came in and after about ten seconds of talking notified me that he couldn't treat this without labs which they of course don't offer. Didn't even look at the computer once to check the chart, or anything. I said okay well since that's the case will you be refunding my $75 that I paid at the beginning when I told them what I was being seen for? No, no they're still going to keep that as they "provided medical guidance". Said guidance was "Go to the ER" (thank you, Captain Obvious. Way to save the day.) So very speedy service, unfortunately they also happen to be bandits. Speed of service - 4 stars Friendliness - 5 stars, I didn't notice any of the rudeness at the front desk that's reflecting in prior reviews but of course YMMV. The front desk lady was very kind. That's the only good thing I have to say. The "provider" couldn't be bothered to explain to me why he wasn't prescribing the leading med for Covid. When I asked, he vaguely said that my medicines were contraindicated and then took off. No explanation, didn't say what meds were a problem or even what was listed (I hadn't filled anything out so his list was likely dated and wrong), no nothing. Maybe was in the room for 1.5 min. Called my primary care doctor and she said he was wrong. I get they're busy the day after Christmas but, 1. I had an appt, and 2. a $75 visit deserves more than what they gave. I will not be back here. It took 90 minutes to even see a doctor (it was not busy at all, and on a normal day of the week). Then I had to wait another 30 minutes in the exam room just for them to tell me they couldn't help me with my problem (I have had to go to several other urgent cares over the years and they have all been able to do it with no issue). All they gave me was basic info related to my condition that I already knew and would take 1 minute to find on google. For a place called urgent care, I received neither "urgency" or "care" And to add insult to injury, when they did bill me for the waste-of-time visit, they said my claim was denied by my insurance company. But when I checked with my Insurance, they said they had never even received a claim from them. So then I had the joy of calling their Helpdesk to get that sorted out. Quite literally the only redeeming quality was that they had an easy way to contact and reach out if you were dissatisfied with something. The Healthcare Service was great and appreciated, that would be 4-5 stars. I went there for something fairly minor but could not wait. This review is solely on the upfront communication, follow-through regarding their billing practices. They offered me a cash pay vs. running through insurance which I appreciated to have options stating that I would only be out of pocket $75 EITHER WAY (presuming whatever insurance did not pay would be written off or absorbed). They had my insurance on record and ran it anyway. I did not care as I did carry insurance. Months later I received a bill because as I disclosed to the front desk that I had a high deductible. The bill was for what the insurance did not pay beyond the $75 I had agreed to and paid at the time of service. I felt this was an easy fix to call them and get it adjusted or fixed. When I called, most of the time they simply did not answer or you were prompted to call at another time. After about 6 calls to them, holding for 30-60 minutes only to get someone on the line who (while they were nice) can only resubmit it, note the account, not honor what was agreed to, or adjust it in the form of a settlement to take care of the balance I was forced to pay the entire bill. Personally, I felt this was an easy fix but after this balance got botched, I would avoid using Banner Health in the future not based on their healthcare quality but on their billing practices and eagerness to resolve any billing issues with the consumer. They pretty much just give you the run around until you agree to pay whatever they feel they want to bill you regardless of what they initially offered up front at the time of service. I see why some people simply do not pay medical bills; it likely is not that they do not want to remedy it- it is that if they have an error as I did the company is not willing to fix it or work with them to resolve the balance. In this instance it was a huge waste of my time, they were paid beyond what we agreed to and they simply threaten you with collection letters and offer little to no assistance. read more

Walked into this urgent care location late Monday afternoon and got good service from both the front of the house staff and the nurse practitioners. We lucked out with our visit as there was not one soul in the waiting area. My husband had a minor incident with his eye so we wanted to make sure that it wasn't anything serious. After visiting with the doctor we found out it wasn't anything serious. Staff was pleasant, very friendly and asked the right questions so they could get right to the matter. Back to Oct 2020 , I got a wrist broken and it was not too bad experience until I got a bill statement after a LONG LONG while until one year after in late 2021- I called them to claim my insurance company first , no one answered even my insurance company tried to call 2021 still not able to get hold of anyone . I even tried Banner imaging but they said their billing system is not the same as Banner Urgent care . I tried many times but no luck and got to continue and wait ...until finally finally finally until late 2021 I got hold of one lady and I told her all my insurance information . Thought they would have claimed right but another year passed . 2022 I got a bill which didn't still claim to my insurance so I called again and a lady called " Norma" at Sep 2022 I told her again all my insurance and asked her to claim asap as it's been 2 years . Thought they would but today 2023 March I got a debt collector mail . The bill amount is not the same as bill statements from 2021 &2022 but debt collector said claimed insurance , really ? I went to insurance company and checked all claims back to 2020 . I still not see they claimed ???? This is VERY awful situation . Unfortunately our current insur is not the best in my opinion BCBS and everytime the insur co informs me of offices contracted, their actually not... In need of a feminine Dr, ended up at urgent today.. Felt relieved to be seen.... Front office gal very sweet, MA- her vibe was unwarming, Dr, she was pleasant.. The set back, knowing my body for over 40yrs and seeing an urgent care Dr for the first time unfortunately I didn't agree with the Rx script filled.... Expressed my concern with the MA since I was interested in a paper rx but her response was very verbally harsh on the way they operate.. She didn't even attempt to assist me with a solution- that's the way they do things and that's it take it or leave it... I was the one to source the immediate solution- ME!! Once got up front explained to front office gal as well, in return she advised she'd consult with the Dr. In fact she did, unfortunately all three of their conversation btwn the MA, Dr and front office gal about me was over heard- by me as I awaited up front:/ Once the Dr came up front, I explained to her what rx script I've successfully utilized in the past... The Dr went on to explain what worked for her, in which I'm still trying to understand since she is not me nor her body remotely as complicated as my own in my experience for over the last 17yrs! In a nut shell, the Dr gave me a pill- "Just One" to get me half was over my irritable uncomfortable situation as if I was requesting a NARCOTIC.. I was simply requesting DIFLUCAN for the love of baby jesus.. For us woman that deal with this situation you understand my discomfort and disappointment along with extreme frustration.. Definitely left dissatisfied and frustrated, still in square A and out of pocket the urgent care office fee- THANKS FOR NOT HELPING! They refused to treat clear strep throat without a strep test. However the step test can still be negative and they still treat. I refused to have the test done as it's very traumatic for a child and is not necessary. They only had a PA and no fully licensed doctor on site according to the nurse. read more

Today was my first time seeing NP Janet Meyers. She was so understanding, patient, knowledgeable. She did not make me feel rushed. She took the time to answer all my questions and gave great medical advice. She is staying up to date with the latest studies and is well informed. Let's just say not all medical providers are created equal. She goes above and beyond! Thank you Janet. The wait was a quiet longer then expected but it was worth it for the care I received. The front desk guy got bad comments on another review and all I wanted to say about that is the job is hard. You have people mad at you every day. You get yelled at more then treated kindly. I know because I've been in his seat. (Not literally but I have worked front office medical for many many years) its usually a hard and thankless job. I say to him, keep your chin up. Treat everyone with kindness even when they don't treat you that way. You are choosing to work hard when most places can't even find employees to fill positions at all. She was not interested in listening to my concerns and examined my daughter for all of 5 seconds before declaring she wouldn't treat us. I also had concerns from some of her comments that she hadn't read the chart or vitals before providing care. I was nervous about visiting this urgent care based on the prior yelp reviews but they were open late and I needed them so away we went! I was pleasantly surprised. Immediately acknowledged. Basic information given to the receptionist in order to get checked in - not 10,000 repetitive forms to fill out. A screen that shows who is waiting and how long you should expect to be sitting in the waiting room. We were called back within 15 minutes (it was late and not many people were there) and seen pretty much immediately after that. The people attending to us were caring and it didn't feel rushed. I'm glad we went despite the other negative experiences. Looks like they read these reviews and maybe they've made changes as a result. If so, based on our experience, it's working. I would like to take my time to review the appointment or reservation time offered by banner urgent care centers. The reservation time you put in for online is a joke. I had an appt/reservation for a certain time, and it was over an hour and a half wait for it. I checked in early for my appt, and the walk-in that checked in at the same time got seen first. I would think an urgent care center would want to have a better appt system, to prevent so many people from waiting in the lobby. Banners online system promotes people to just walk-in, and not try and wait at home. They should just do away with their online check in all together. read more
